I do not see a decline at all. And those that do leave are truly not real fans of the series. The side games are necessary for the plot to make complete sense. Patients is what fans need to be given the ultimate experience of the KH3

I'm sorry, but I have to object, this series is at a huge decline. In all honestly, how many people do you know who actually know about this game? If you take a survey somewhere or just simply ask someone if they know what Kingdom Hearts is, they're most likely going to say no. Also, the side games have done nothing more but make us ask more questions, especially Mysterious Figure. Dream Drop Distance should've been released on a more popular system rather than the 3DS. Patience is a virtue, but not everyone has the patience of a god to put up with this wait just for a conclusion to series with so many questions that fans asking these are basically left in the dust.

Yes, yes it is. But it's declining so slowly, I'm assuming not much people actually see it declining. Of course, this is just the way I see it. When I look around the net, the most prominent reason I've seen is that it's been console-hopping. I've never actually realized how bad of an idea it was to console-hop until KH:3D came out because it called for a 3DS only and, let's be frank, there's not much for that handheld. I'm stuck debating with myself on whether I should get one just for KH3D and try to make the most out of it or just not get it at all. And it's frustrating.

And of course, there's also the whole "KH is taking too long!" or "KH has too much games!" reason, but you have to remember the fact that the side-games are there to help us understand the plot-details or whatever dropped in each game. Though I will admit that Re:Coded could have been... Well, not necessarily done without, but maybe shortened. Or the important details being in some secret ending or something. As fun as it was, it became a second KHI and Chain of Memories. That's really frustrating...

If I really had to put an expiration date on the series, maybe a year or so after KHIII comes out. Nomura would have to be pretty crafty with the next plot if he's going to revive the fanbase after that. And hopefully, KH will stop console-hopping, but I don't really see that happening. This is all just my opinion though. For all I know, Nomura will manage to turn this into some kind of Kingdom Hearts Universe like Marvel or something.

In my opinion, KH won't die for a long time, but personally, I'm gradually losing interest. Yes, I will be getting a 3DS for KH3D, but not 358 or Re: Coded. The reason why is because I only see the games with Sora as the main playable character and BBS as the important ones. The only thing I learned from Re Coded was that Xehanort might come back, and that they had to take the mark of mastery exam. besides that... well... nothing.

On the contrary, the constant fillers, while annoying sometimes, are just making me want KHIII more. It's kind of like that time before supper, when you're kind of hungry. Then you smell something delicious, and suddenly, you're starving and can't wait to get some food into you.

A thread claiming KH is dying?
    BLASPHEMY! Blasphemy, I say!

But in all seriousness I find myself losing interest at times.
I'm sure I could start spark it back up though if I re-played the games.

Gasp ... Off with your head. (lol)
I wish it wasn't possible but maybe...
I guess there just doing all these spin-offs to make more money but if they make to many (are we there all ready) people might get bored with it and it may die.

I feel like the games are getting less interesting. But no, in my opinion, the series isn't "dying".

Tell that to the over 200,000 copies of DDD that sold in the first week.
The series is definitely not dying. Youtube comments aren't always reliable.

I think people are pissed of all the sequels and so on.. and everyone just wants to get KH 3 already.
(For myself, I love all the sidegames and also the HD remakes which are coming soon..)

But I must pretend, when I'm at a convention, visiting all the stores and stuff, Kingdom Hearts merchandise is really really rar and I also barely see any KH cosplayer.
At my last con, there were only about 5 KH cosplayer at the whole convention and that's pretty nothing.

I think, just the hype is over and only "true" KH fans still stuck to the series. Well, that's all I can say about my country I live in, yet I still know lots of people who love KH the same way as I do.

The kh seriess is not dying and won t die.The series has sold really well considering the fact that fhey vonstantly jump systems. And to be honest that just shows how peoplwle are still keen on buying the series especially when most of the time they have to buy the handheld console in order to play. I think the only reason for people ti loose interest is because the games have been moving from platform to handheld and not everyone has the money for that which could explain why they drift away from the series. But i still think its not dying because when i went to buy Kh3d on the day of the western release i was lucky to get my hands on the last copy they had in the shop. This shows ghat there is still a strong fanbase ready to buy the game. And this is saying somerhing i live in Belgium a French/Dutch country and i live in the suburbs in a lityle town cslled waterloo. And ti think the spark will be relit when 1.5 comez out firt i will let everyone replay the franchisr in hd and will also bring new players into the franchise .
