Well, I just think the fans are getting impatient. I like the way the game is going, and I believe that there are just some people who don't like waiting. And when the series come to an end, we will be very sad about it, because we won't like it to end...

I don't know how's doing KH in Japan or North America. Over here KH isn't so famous as Final Fantasy, but the few persons I know like it.

As a loyal fan, I would be heartbroken if KH ever died. I can't see me ever giving up on it.
It's true the console hopping drives me nuts, still haven't played BBS, but I know there are a lot of fans out there who would practically become Nobody's if KH ever died

I agree with you. ;) I have always had patience for each and every KH game that came out--and enjoyed every single one. I really don't mind any of the "side-games". To me, every game that was created is important and essential to totally understanding the overall story. Besides, wouldn't you want more KH games than wanting it to end already? :)

KH dying? I don't think so. There are franchises still alive after having no games for a decade. (Hlf-Life, Duke Nukem...) So I don't see this one dying so soon. The complicated storyline (it's not really /that/ complicated) only does the franchise good. In a different fandom I'm in, new**** are so friggin anno- Wait that's mean. Let me rephrase. Sometimes something can grow so fast so huge the francise dies because of it's fans. Because this franchise isn't as easy to follow, we don't really have this. So it's good it's not growing as fast as other things. Fast movement doesn't do most things good.

I myself think that the Kingdom Hearts series still has a firm stance in the gaming world. The system hopping is a small problem, but really its one I myself can deal with. Besides, it allows you to branch off and become more well rounded with the gaming world. The fillers are nice, they do the obvious job of filling. However Kingdom Hearts Re coded was a bit of a waste in my opinion. Its really just KH1 on a different platform. Nothing was really filled in the story line, it seemed more like a procrastination to me. The game was good, but had very little point in the series. I would think it would make more sense if released after KH3, because it took place when things were safe and bla. I myslef am a loyal fan and will be till the day they close up shop.

Well I got to say about that is that its not really dieing its just most fans are losing interest in the game that in a fact they do have a story line most of the time gos every where but we do need the back story's A.k.A spin-off games to tell whats going to happen In KH3 there are somethings unsaid in the game that never got what need to be said...

Kingdom Hearts dying? I'd have to say, "Ride a mule and call pancakes a fairy food-- NO!" Erm.. Okay that was random and excessive but no, I dont think the franchise is dying. It's always possible that people are taking a break from the series or arent into it as much until the next game comes out. I for one know what its like to wait for so long and wanting to rip your own hair out at the need of knowing what will happen next( thats why I have my AC c: ). But yes, I can see the platform jumping to be a problem for most. Square Enix could be trying different graphics out on different platforms(or just doing business favors for Nintendo) but it is a hassle and may leave you with a hole in your wallet if you do go out and buy the specific platform for one game. (..I have no room to talk, I did that. *shot* ) Anyway, I cant see the series dying based on the numbers of loyal fans. ( haha, Im sure someone else has already made all of these points but oh well..~ c: )

Ihough i do enjoy the fillers it does take a long time. I mean I've been waiting for KH3 and then KH 3Ds is coming out.
Also, I'm guessing that some people aren't interested in the whole mix with Disney.
I mean I love Disney it was my childhood and is still my teenhood,
but some people really don't want to see Donald and Goofy fighting along side Sora.

Either way, as far as I know, there are a lot of people that like KH and find it very entertaining with a good story line. ^^

To be honest, we haven't seen Goofy and Donald really fighting alongside Sora since KH1 and KH2. Considering that that's 2/7 of the games in the franchise, it's not much of a big deal.

I've loved Kh series for years ! Yet I also feel somewhat sad about all this different video games that the series are spreading.. I can't afford so many video games as much as I would love to, just to play KH! Even though there are some games that I could play with emulators It isn't truth to all games, and I really wanted to support Square enix while playing, but I can't, It's just too much! I love all the games released and yet I have to acknowledge that they're filling only! How many times did we redone the first game? The good side is that the mechanics really improved, but storywise .. we play 50 h to get 20 min of new info.

are they selling the first few kingdom hearts games on several systems yet? it would be best to reissue them on downloadable websites. or even offer free cardboard standups to places that resell their old games, as it will be great advertising for their future games. else, kids too young to play video games when kingdom hearts 1 came out might pass on newer versions.

I fell like they are building a saga not a trilogy.

I don't like when people use the term "fillers" because some of the games weren't.

CoM was thought of as a filler (at least to me) before KH2 cause on the box it said "...events leading to KH2" and I was like...wait what?

BBS was eppppicc in terms of story and was completely necessary because on how it connects to the over arching plot

Days was...(imo) crap. I wasnt the best. I hate Roxas but I feel that there will be a connecting to the over all story in the future regarding Days.

Coded, now Coded was a filler, there was not new story aside from Data Sora's story but unless Data Sora pops up in KH3 hes completely irrelevant. The only thing that that story gave us was a lead in to KHDDD which could have been done in BBS or simple in a trailer release by SE.

as for the "dieing" it just doesn't seem as big a deal because there hasn't been a major console in like...forever. When KH3 comes out you wont here the end of it. Think of this as the calm before the storm.

Kingdom hearts is just too big to completely die. I know kids who have tattoos with Sora and a keyblade, kairi or kairi's charm, namine and the moon shaped like a heart, etc. This site and others like it. The fact that square makes it and they will make a simple concept into a long drawn out series of games.

But to say that the interest in the series doesnt fluctuate over time is ridiculous. Maybe people are losing interest now, but it will change after a while, and then will change again.

Yep, It's dying because lots of fans want KH3 to come out already, so they are slowly giving
up and going on, also I have proof because I advertised my Kingdom Hearts forum and 75% of the
people who saw me advertise didn't know what it was, so Square Enix is basically hopeless, they
might have to put KH to a rest or reboot, but a reboot would result in less fans even though
FF7 had multiple reboots and its fans gal lour for 7.

I don't think that it's dying but i will admit that the console hopping can get annoying as i have no money so i have missed out on some of the games but that's not a huge problem for me also i don't that that the storyline is too confusing because I get most of it and i haven't played some of the games

well on the flip side it could be worse, aka call of duty releasing a rehash that is no different than the last game every year around the same time. don't get me wrong i love CoD, but come on. also, it's not like KH is the only series to take a long time with sequels. I've been looking forward to a new Half Life game forever and yet...nothing. So I guess it's just a matter of patients, besides, they are working on effects/lighting on Versus anyway, which means that the heavy duty work is complete. If Versus is as good as the trailers make it look like it will be, I'm sure that will hold off fans, because fans aren't exclusive to one game.

Definitely, especially since they haven't released a game on a majorly popular console until now. Also the fact they have 4 prequels and 1 sequel as well as most of them being either filler or on a system hardly anybody uses anymore aka BBS. An HD Collection should be released IMO, that'll at least grab more people's attention.
