    Okay, um... I'm sorta confused. I'm seeing a lot of stuff about KH III here and I've looked up KHIII stuff before but that was a while back and it was just abunch of fake stuff. But are they REALLY and OFFICIALLY making KH III now? Or what?

    (And just to be clear, KH 3D ISN'T KH III, right?)

    KH3D is not KHIII. I haven't seen anything official as I've stopped reading news but if Versus XIII was really canceled then I'd guess that they are doing so.

    No, KH3D is not KH3 (although personally, I like to view it as KH3 part 1, but whatever...). Anyway, there's a lot of talk about KH3 right now because a certain something from KH3D...

    *don't read if you haven't beaten KH3D*

    during the credits, a message is spelled out, saying "This leads to KINGDOM HEARTS" and after that, groups of three characters are shown (which include Ansem the Wise, Roxas, Xion, and Terra, Ventus, Aqua) as well as Sora and Riku walking towards the Door to Light from the KH2 ending, where a roman numeral III is formed if you look closely. Also, before this message is spelled out, there's a sort of mini-game during the credits where you collect letters that spell "Secret Message Unlocked," so if you get them all, there's a sort of secret message you can read in the glossary section, hinting towards the "next number"

    I read somewhere that Nomura said that production has not even begun for KHIII, however they do have the story written out. He also said that production will not begin until Versus XIII is finished.

    I honestly don't see what the big deal about KHIII is. It's not as if the story can't progress until that game is released. It almost seems as though people are ignoring the games that come between and expect KHIII to be a direct continuation of KHII. It's just like CoM. I'm kinda tired of seeing KHIII everywhere, just seems unnecessary while the story is sill progressing.

    ^this, but the big deal about kh 3 is that people have stopped playing kingdom hearts until 3 comes out

    I know, it's ridiculous. You can't play KHII without CoM, and you wont be able to play KHIII without all the games since.
