KH- Fast Food Madness!

"Never leave me," Namine whispered softly, opening her eyes and gazing up at him, her eyes pleading him to promise he wouldn't.

 

Roxas opened his eyes and looked down at her, meeting her eyes. "I won't, I promise."

 

Namine smiled and put her head back down against his chest, hugging him tighter.

 

Roxas lowered his head and kissed the top of her hair before hugging her closer to him.

 

Namine shut her eyes and sighed, feeling safe and protected from everything around them.

 

Roxas stared blankly at the end of the bed, his casted leg in sight. He hated looking at it, and desperately wished that potions worked in this world. But they didn't, so he'd have to recover slowly...unfortunately.

 

Namine smiled and snuggled closer to Roxas, getting more comfortable.

 

Roxas blinked, snapping back to reality when Namine cuddled closer. Namine was actually one of his biggest concerns. She couldn't come in here everyday and stay here for hours on end while he recovered. She had a life to live, and she couldn't be wasting it in here. But he didn't know how to tell her that, and didn't really want to. He thought it would hurt her to hear him say it.

 

Namine's smile widened as she felt the protection Roxas provided. She had no idea how she could ever survive without him. But...she would never have to; Roxas promised to never leave. And she believed him.

 

Just the thought of upsetting her made Roxas hold her tighter. He wouldn't do that, he would never hurt her. He cared too much for her to even think of doing that.

 

Namine's smile faded as she continued to feel extremely relaxed. Roxas would never break his promise.

 

And if he did go against his own word and leave her, hurting her in the process, he wouldn't allow himself to forget it. It'd be his own fault that he left, that he caused her pain, that he caused himself pain after doing it. He'd never let that pain die, that way he could never forget the mistake he made of doing it. Roxas bit his lip, getting that sick feeling again.

 

Namine's breathing was even as she was held, her body starting to leave conciousness.

 

Roxas blinked and a tear slowly started trickling down his face. It hurt him so much to even think of any of that. Like he told her before, right after Sora had been shot, "If something happens to me, I want you to know I'll always be in your heart." He felt another tear leave his eye at the thought of leaving her. He couldn't do it, he just couldn't.

 

A small, peace filled smile stayed on Namine's face as she fell asleep, perfectly safe in Roxas' arms.

 

Roxas tightened his hold on Namine, gently pulling her as close to him as she could get. He leaned his cheek against the top of her head, a quiet sob leaving his lips.

 

In her sleep, Namine wrapped her arms around Roxas more tightly.

 

Roxas didn't know where this negativity was coming from, feeling as if he was possessed by this dark energy around him. So for a few moments, he quietly cried, holding Namine in his arms.

 

Namine felt a small change of atmosphere, even in her sleep. Because of that, she continued to hold onto Roxas as tightly as she could, wanting protection for both of them.

 

After his few moments of sorrow, Roxas fell asleep in that same position--his arms holding Namine tightly, his cheek on her head.
