KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora shook his head. "Still, it shouldn't have happened. They had no right to act like that."

 

"You're right, they didn't. Especially to you." Kairi met his eyes, a serious look on her face.

 

"I don't care that they teased me." Sora lied. He looked away from Kairi's eyes for a moment and then looked into them again. "I care more about you."

 

Kairi felt the blood rush to her face. All she could do was stare into his piercing ocean-blue eyes, having nothing to say.

 

Sora felt himself blush as Kairi continued to stare had him. Why had he said that?! Where had that come from? And what had possessed him to make him say that???

 

Kairi's lips spread into a small shy smile. "Thanks...Sora." She glanced away for second. "I...care more about you, too."

 

Sora put his hand through his hair and began to mess with it. His face was as red as a tomato.

 

She giggled, turning away in embarrassment.

 

Sora looked over as Kairi turned away. She was pretty cute when she felt awkward. Sora smiled, feeling his own tension slip away. "Thanks, Kairi. That...was really sweet."

 

Kairi looked his way behind a few strands of her red hair. "Sure," she said with a smile.

 

"Excuse me." A voice came from in front of Sora. A customer.

"Oh!" Sora jumped to his feet. "I'm sorry. How can I help you?"

 

Kairi smiled, turning around to refill a soda for a customer.

 

"Have a nice day." Sora told his customer as he walked away. Oh man, how embarrasing! At least nobody else (except for him and Kairi) saw that happen.

 

Kairi gave the soda back to the customer. "Here you go."

"Thanks," the customer said.

Kairi nodded with a smile as the custumoer turned away. She looked over at Sora.

 

Sora looked over and saw that Kairi was looking at him. He smiled shyly.

 

She grinned, a giggle escaping her lips.

 

Sora froze. What did he do now? Kairi was obviously interested in him...wasn't she? Should he hold her hand? Should he kiss her. Instead he stood there an paste a smile on his face.

 

Kairi sighed, looking around at the now empty fast food restaurant. "I'm taking my break," she said, taking off her hat. She walked by Sora, brushing against his arm.

 

Sora felt a tingle go through his arm when Kairi brushed by him. It felt like magic. He smiled inside. Maybe this is what love felt like.

 

Kairi reached the door, and glanced back for a second. She saw Sora standing there alone, being his cute self again, being the person she loved. A smile came across her face, and then she pushed the door open as she went outside.
