KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi turned her head at the bell, a smile automatically coming to her face. She walked through the doorway toward the door and was thankful she already had her shoes on, knowing they were heading to the park right when he arrived. She grabbed the door handle and pulled the door open, her eyes falling on the ocean blue in front of her.

 

Sora's smile widened when he saw a pair of violet-blue eyes staring back at him. "Hey Kairi." He greet her lovingly, his eyes brightening at the sight of her.

 

Kairi's smile grew. "Hi," she replied, her eyes looking at his lovingly. He appeared very happy today, and she was as well.

 

Sora put one hand in his pocket as he smiled at Kairi, staying silent as he stood in that spot.

 

"You ready to go?" Kairi asked as she reached up and grabbed her coat off the coat hanger next to the door. She held it in her hand as she turned her head back to him, beginning to put it on.

 

Sora nodded slightly. "Sure."

 

Kairi buttoned her coat and tied the strap around her waist. "All right," she said softly. She locked the door and then grabbed the door knob as she stepped outside.

 

"Wait," Sora said softly, bring up one hand and putting it on the door to keep it from closing fully. He looked up at Kairi, a faint smile on his lips.

 

Kairi looked at his hand on the door and then flitted her violet-blue eyes to him, her expression curious. "What is it?" she asked.

 

Sora smiled softly, his eyes staying on hers as he took a step to his right, reaching behind the flower put and pulling up a bouquet of roses. He held it in front of him as he looked into Kairi's violet blue eyes. "Happy Valentines Day."

 

Kairi looked at the roses, her eyes brightening in happiness and surprise. She felt a smile form on her lips. "Sora..." Her eyes flitted up to his piercing blue.

 

Sora smiled into her eyes, shifting the roses slightly. There were twelve all together...well, sort of. One of those was fake, and it was kind of obvious. But he had a reason for that...and the note that was attatched to that one misfit rose helped explain that. He hoped Kairi would notice it.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes to the bouquet, her smile growing slightly. She gently took them from his hands, holding them in her own as she looked at them. Her eyes found a card that was attached to a rose, a rose that Kairi noticed looked different from the others. She gently lifted a hand and picked up the card, her smile still on her face.

 

Sora smiled gently at Kairi and nodded softly once when he saw her go for the note. The note wasn't anything complicated or long; just one simple sentence:

"I'll love you till the last rose dies."

 

Kairi read the sentence and looked up at Sora, her eyes shining. "Sora..." Her eyes flitted to the bouquet again. "...thank you." Her gaze ended up on him again, a soft and loving smile on her lips.

Sora's gentle smile grew slightly as he noticed Kairi's happiness. "You're welcome," he respond softly, gazing into her eyes again.

 

Kairi kept her eyes on him. "Come on inside. I'll put these in a vase," she said before she pushed the door open from its almost closed state.

 

"Okay," Sora agreed, keeping his gentle gaze on Kairi.

Kairi's smile stayed on her face as she stepped inside her home and started for the kitchen to get a vase out of one of the cabinets. For some reason, her guardian had decided to put them there, thinking they wouldn't get hurt that way. It was true--they never got touched. But now Kairi had a use for one of the elegant vases, thanks to Sora.

 

Sora smiled softly as he followed Kairi inside, shutting the door behind him to keep out the cold air.
