KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi took in a breath at the movement, but didn't shift her position.

 

Sora, now fully upright, shift his body so his legs hung over the side of the bed. So far, so good. He didn't feel too dizzy or sick because of the motion. He started to feel more hopeful as he pushed his left hand into the bed beside him as he started to rise to his feet.

 

Kairi moved her left hand up next to her face on the pillow when the movement continued, her sleep lightening a little before she fell back into her deep slumber.

 

Sora swayed slightly when he was fully upright, the room spinning for a moment. "Whoa," he whispered softly, blinking hard one time to make the dizziness disapear.

"Did that make you dizzy?" The doctor asked, keeping a hand close to Sora in case something went wrong.

Sora nod once, noticing how loud the doctor's voice sounded now. He had probably forgetten about the sleeping girl with the small amount of excitement. "Yeah, but it's gone now." Sora answered quietly, looking the doctor in the eye.

The doctor nodded in return, looking back at the teen. "Why don't you try to walk around?" He suggest, slowly lowering his hand and taking a few steps back so Sora could move around him.

 

Kairi took in a soft breath and exhaled it quietly as she slept in the hospital bed, unaware of the action going on around her.

 

"Okay," Sora said, looking down at his feet as he took his first step forward. It was surprisingly easy. He smiled slightly and took a few more steps, not feeling dizzy at all. His head hurt a little more, but he didn't care.

The doctor smiled in return when he saw Sora walking so easily. "Are you ready to go home now, Sora?" He asked, feeling happy that he could finally give Sora that option.

Sora's mouth hung open for a second as the words sunk in. He could go home....really!? "Yes!" Sora answered excitedly, his voice at its normal level at that one word.

The doctor nodded and gazed at the boy happily. "I'll go get your medicine. You'll need to take two pills ever 8 hours. And get plenty of rest; I don't want to see you back here again."

Sora nodded in response, feeling extremely excited as he watched the man head for the door.

"There are a set of clothes in the closet for you," The man stopped at the door and turned around. "You can go to the restroom down the hall to get changed. The doctor gave Sora one last smile before quietly exiting the room.

 

Kairi sighed softly in her sleep, too deep in her slumber to hear the excitement.

 

Sora walked over to the closet and quietly pulled it open, seeing a pair of navy blue jeans, long sleeved black shirt, and other clothing items and shoes in there. He reached in and picked them up, holding them in his hands. He softly closed the closet with his foot as he turned and looked at Kairi, who was still asleep. He smiled softly, not seeing a need to wake her up just yet. He silently walked back over to the bedside and lowered his head so his mouth was right by her ear. "Be right back," he whispered softly before pulling his head back and looking down at the girl, happy that they could get out of here.

 

Kairi exhaled softly, a faint smile appearing on her lips at the soft spoken words. She continued to sleep soundly.

 

Sora smiled softly when he saw Kairi respond to him. He could tell that she was asleep, but at the same time, she knew what he had said. He shift the stuff he held in his arms as he made his way to the door. He shuffled his clothing items to one arm (for the most part) as he turned the handle with his right hand, softly pulling open the door and exiting the room. He made sure that the door shut silently behind him before he made his way to the bathroom to get changed.

He smiled to himself as he walked into the bathroom, which was close to the room. Finally. That was the only thought that really went through his head as he walked into a stall and started to get changed. Finally, they could leave.

 

The smile on Kairi's lips faded as she sighed softly in her sleep. Silence filled the room other than her soft, even breathing.

 

After a few minutes of shuffling around in the small bathroom stall, Sora was fully changed. He straightened his black shirt and pulled the sleeves down all the way before exiting the stall, hospital gown in his hand. On his way to the door, he passed the mirror. His eyes caught onto the ones in the mirror, and he felt like he recognized them. Of course they were his, but they weren't dull or dark like he had expected. No, they were bright, happy. He smiled faintly at his reflection before exiting the restroom, taking a few steps in the hallway before he approached the door that led to his room. He pulled it open with his right hand and silently slipped into the room.

 

Kairi took in a quiet breath through her nose, exhaling it softly once her lungs were full of air.

 

Sora walked back over to the other side of the bed, where there was empty space. His shoes made a little noise on the tile floor as he leaned over slightly and set his folded up gown on the bed.

OOC: Gotta get off for a bit, be back in 20-30 min.

 

Kairi was so deep in her sleep that she wasn't aware of anything but her dreamless slumber.

OOC: Okey dokey.

 

Sora smiled softly at the girl, then raised his head when he saw the door open. He watched as his doctor silently entered the room, a bottle of medicine in one hand and a plastic bag in another.

The doctor walked over to Sora, speaking softly. "This bag has some plastic wraps for you two wear over your cast when you shower," he explained, handing the bag over to Sora when he was close enough. "And remember, two pills. Every eight hours."

Sora nodded gratefully, taking the medicine from the man and putting it in his jeans pocket. "Thanks."

"Come back in five weaks, and we'll take that cast off." The doctor nodded softly, smiling. He outstretched a hand and shook Sora's right hand before leaving the room.

After he had left, Sora looked down at the sleeping girl again. He didn't want to wake her up, but at the same time, he was eager to. He set his bag down on the end of the bed as he knelt down slightly, gently putting his right hand on Kairi's shoulder. "Kai, wake up." Sora said softly, gingerly tapping her.

OOC: Sorry that took so long! My mom was hogging the computer. Dx

 

Kairi felt the tapping on her shoulder and took in a soft breath through her nose. She slowly opened her eyes, blinking a few times to clear her vision. She tiredly found Sora in front of her, noticing his clothes. "Sora...?" She didn't understand. What was going on?

OOC: xD That's okay. I had some stuff to do myself.

 

Sora smiled softly, noticing how confused she appeared to be. He gently ran his hand over her shoulder before he spoke again. "You ready to leave?" He asked politely, his smile growing.

 

Kairi eyes widened slightly, now fully awake. "You can leave?" she asked, a hint of a smile on her lips.

 

Sora nodded softly, smiling at her as she became more awake. "Yeah." His voice was quiet but full of happiness.
