Kairi took in a breath. "Together," she added softly. As long as they were together, they could get through anything, right?

 

Sora nod softly, smiling faintly at her added comment. "Right," he agreed quietly, burrying his head in Kairi's neck.

 

Kairi felt a small smile come across her face as she closed her eyes, her arms wrapped around Sora. The answer was yes--they could get through anything as long they were with each other and stuck together.

 

Sora exhaled softly, holding Kairi securely in his arms. He just wated to stay in this comfortable, calming position for as long as he could.

 

Kairi rested her chin on Sora's shoulder lightly, the feeling of protection calming her down. Behind her closed eyelids, she could feel her tears disappearing. She was glad; she hated crying in front of Sora.

 

Sora exhaled softly as he moved his left hand, raising it slightly as he gently ran over the hair on the back of Kairi's head.

 

Kairi exhaled quietly, relaxing into Sora's arms at his touch.

 

Sora smiled softly, feeling Kairi relax.

 

Kairi was glad she was here with him finally, though she would have liked to go without the negative thoughts. But that led to their discussion, which in turn brought them a little closer, letting them understand each other's point of view in a way.

 

Sora sucked in a breath, thinking. He hadn't meant to make it seem like he was suffering with the aftermath of the battle; in fact, he had tried to push it off so he could take care of Kairi first. But...he guessed that Kairi had a way of opening him up in a way that nobody else could. He could share anything with her and know that she would love him anyway.

 

Kairi buried her head in Sora's shoulder, sighing softly. She knew she shouldn't have thought so negatively earlier; it only made things harder and it was useless. She always knew that the two of them would get through anything together, and they both had strong hearts. Two strong hearts were better than one, and that was how they both defeated Dark Kairi--by sticking together. And now she was gone, so now they could both enjoy the moments they had together.

 

Sora stopped running over Kairi's hair and let his hand gently sit on the back of her head as he pulled his head out of her neck, opening his eyes halfway and gazing at the hospital room in front of him.

 

Kairi took in a breath, letting her thoughts slip away as she decided to enjoy the time she had with him.

 

Sora let out a breath as he lightly rest his chin on Kairi's shoulder, his eyes closing in relaxation. He still felt a little bit uneasy about some of the battle, but he'd worry about that later. Right now, he just wanted to keep Kairi happy.

 

Kairi relaxed into Sora's form, keeping her eyes closed as her head stayed in his shoulder.

 

Sora gently lowered his left hand and let it rest on Kairi's back as he held her close.

 

Kairi felt herself smile when Sora's hand rested on her back. He was always taking care of her, even when he was the one in the hospital.

 

Sora exhaled softly, feeling a certain sense of peace in the silence.

 

Kairi let her smile fade as she lifted her head out of his shoulder a little, her eyes adjusting to the light of the room.

 

Sora stayed still even after Kairi moved her head, keeping his embrace soft enough that Kairi could pull away if she wanted to.
