KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi got up from the table, grabbing her plate and walking toward the sink. She hoped he was okay, especially after all they'd gone through yesterday.

 

Sora sighed as he felt himself slip into a deeper, dreamless slumber.

 

Kairi sighed softly and started cleaning her plate, along with the other dishes. She might as well get started on the house cleaning.

 

OOC: ...I really have no ideas at the moment, do you want another time gap going to whenever Kairi heads over to see Sora? Unless there was something you wanted to do, then I can improvise. =)

 

OOC: There really wasn't anything specific I was planning on doing, so we'll just skip ahead to the time when Kairi's heading to the hospital. =)

Kairi sighed in relief, glad that all the house cleaning was done. It was a little after noon, and she decided that her sickness was well over and done with. She was all ready in the bathroom, having finished cleaning it. She washed her hands and then looked in the mirror, fixing her hair and straightening her grey long sleeved shirt and jeans. Kairi walked out of the bathroom to grab her wallet in her room before heading downstairs to get her outerwear on.

 

Sora turned his head slightly in his sleep, dreaming.

 

After slipping on her shoes and getting on her coat, Kairi slipped her cell and wallet into her pockets. She put her key in her pocket and walked out the door, closing and locking the door behind her. It wasn't as cold today as it had been the last time she was out. She started toward the street and waved for a cab.

 

Sora looked around the blackness, seeing a red haired girl staring back at him. But it wasn't the girl he wanted to see. No, it was Dark Kairi. And she had just told him that Kairi was gone forever.

He clenched his fist in anger, the memory replaying in his mind.

 

Kairi climbed into the taxi that pulled up and requested he take her to the hospital. The happy cab driver agreed and pulled out into the street, heading toward the hospital. Kairi looked down at the necklace hanging from her neck, and smiled slightly. She'd finally be able to see him again. She fingered the necklace as she looked out the window.

 

Sora's dream skipped through part of the battle, to the part where he had Dark Kairi cornered. Or rather, he thought he did. She suddenly bolt forward, punching him and hitting him two more times with her remaining strength.

Sora flinched as he remembered the pain he had felt at that moment.

 

Kairi bit her lip as the world continued to pass by as she sat in the back seat of the taxi. She hoped Sora was all right. He hadn't been in the best shape the last time she saw him in the hospital, and what happened yesterday probably affected him greatly like it did her. She had a nightmare last night about it, but after she had woken up in the middle of the night and then fallen back asleep, it'd gone away.

 

"Maybe you're not fast enough," Sora head Dark Kairi say above him before she asked a question to some unseen girl. Kairi. Sora reached out a hand and gripped onto Dark Kairi's ankle before tugging at it with the energy he had left. He heard the girl fall to the ground, and then listened in on the arguement unfolding in front of him.

 

Kairi watched as the hospital came into view and the cab came to a stop.

"Here we are, miss," the driver said with a soft smile.

Kairi returned his smile and pulled out her wallet, paying the fare. "Thank you," she said.

"Have a nice day," the driver called.

Kairi climbed out of the car and shut the door, the cab heading into the street again. Kairi looked up at the hospital building and sighed softly. She looked at the door and headed for the entrance.

 

Sora lift his head when he heard a scream; the scream he hated most in the world. But it wasn't just Kairi's scream, he heard someone else's mixing with hers. He realized that he was screaming too, and he couldn't stop. And then he realized that none of it was actually happening, and it was only a dream. He blinked hard, forcing himself out of the dream world.

Sora bolt upright in bed, gasping for air after the nightmare ended. That was terrible! That was something that he didn't want to remember...ever! His body trembled slightly as he set himself back into his previous, slouching position. He shut his eyes and tried to slow down his racing heart.

 

Kairi pulled the entrance door open and walked inside, heading past the receptionist and toward the elevator.

 

Sora exhaled, forcing himself to calm down in a reasonably short ammount of time. It may have only been a dream, but it was based on reality. And he didn't like that one bit. He sighed softly, his head relaxing into the pillow as if nothing happened. He just needed one moment of peace...without thought about anything.

 

Kairi stepped into the elevator and pressed the button, the doors closing as she stood in the elevator alone. Only a few more minutes and she'd see him.

 

Sora exhaled, turning his head as he opened his eyes halfway, gazing at the window. It was daytime, but he didn't have any idea what time it was. Not that it really mattered to him. He just wanted to get out of the hospital, and take a break from all the stress.

 

Kairi stepped out of the elevator and started down Sora's hall. She fingered her necklace again as she got closer to his door.

 

Sora let out a soft sigh, shutting his eyes again. He still felt extremely exhausted.
