KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas blinked in suprise when he no longer had a sandwich in his hands, realizing he had eaten it all quickly. He scratched his head. Oh well, it was satisfying at least. Roxas grabbed his crutches and started for the living room so he could finish watching the game, and wait for Namine's return.

 

Namine felt a bounce in her step as she walked down Roxas' street. She couldn't wait to see him again. She felt like a new person, or rather, the girl that she used to be, so happy and cheerful. But it was different than before; she was stronger now. Hopefully it would be a harder wearing version than before, and it would help her through whatever else life threw at her.

 

Roxas glanced out the window as he made his way to the couch, noticing how dark it had gotten suddenly. He reached the couch and set himself down, putting his crutches against the couch again. He reached toward the lamp that was on the end table next to him and he turned the switch, lighting up the room.

 

Namine shivered when she felt a cold wind blow, the biting cold air touching the skin of her face. She felt her teeth chatter as she walked. The sooner she got inside, the better.

 

Roxas glanced out the window again, tearing his eyes away from the TV. He hoped Namine was all right. It was getting late, and he didn't really know where she was. He bit his lip and turned his attention back to the game, his mind still on her.

 

Namine shivered again, walking up to Roxas' house now. She was relieved to see that the lights were already on, which meant that Roxas awake. Or at least, she kind of hoped he was. She really wanted to thank him for how he'd taken care of her lately. A small smile appeared on her face as she approached the door.

 

Roxas had his eyes glued to the TV as the game went on during the second half. The Knicks were losing by 3 and he desperately wanted them to win. "Come on..." he murmured as the point guard handled the ball.

 

Namine reached out a hand and turned the door knob, pushing the door open. Roxas had told her that she never had to knock whenever she came over, and she knew it was because he trusted her. She smiled softly and walked inside, taking a few steps before turning back around and closing the door to keep out the cold air.

 

Roxas turned his head toward where the front door was located, having heard it open. He had a feeling he knew who it was.

 

Namine took a few steps and peeked into the living room before even taking off her outter wear. "It's me," She said, softly smiling at the boy on the couch.

 

Roxas returned her smile, glad to see her even though she was only gone for a couple hours.

 

Namine's smile grew at the sight of his before she turned away, heading back to the door to hang up her coat and other outer wear.

 

Roxas turned his head back to the TV as he leaned back into the couch, pushing up his long sleeves of his red shirt to his elbows. He put his hands on his dark jeans as he watched the remainder of the game.

 

Namine hung up her coat and hat on the coat hanger, and then she stuck her gloves in her coat pocket. She knelt down slightly as she unzipped her black boots, gently setting them by her other things. Once that was done, she softly inhaled and walked back into the living room.

 

Roxas shook his head as he watched the game. The team just fouled another player, giving him two free-throws. He sighed and then turned his head, his eyes falling on Namine.

 

Namine blinked, her eyes catching onto the game for a moment. And then she felt like she was being watched, so she turned her gaze to Roxas.

 

Roxas smiled at her when her light blue eyes met his piercing blue. She looked happier, more cheerful, which made her even more beautiful than she naturally was in Roxas' eyes.

 

Namine returned his smile, keeping her eyes on his as she started over toward the sofa.

 

Roxas' eyes were locked on hers as she came closer to him. His smile stayed on his face as he followed her with his blue orbs.

 

Namine gracefully set herself down on the couch next to Roxas, still watching him. Something just kept her eyes on his. Not that she minded; she loved being able to look him in the eye and have nothing to hide. Sure, he didn't know everything yet. She would tell him soon.
