KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi looked down at her lap as she sat on her knees. She didn't know what was running through his mind or what had made that sad expression in his eyes appear when she had looked into them, but she wasn't going to ask any questions. She would feel like she was invading his privacy. He'd kept it from her for a reason, she supposed. So she wasn't going to press the issue.

 

Sora shut his eyes and put his hands to his side, his head falling slightly at the silence.

 

Kairi bit her lip and looked up at him. "We should probably get up now," she suggested. As much as she wanted to stay here with him, she knew they had to find away out of here.

 

Sora slowly opened his eyes and let his head lift as he looked up at Kairi. "Right," he said softly, his eyes locking with hers for a moment before he looked back down. He honestly wasn't sure if he could stand up.

 

Kairi looked at him for a moment, noticing that he wasn't moving. "What's wrong?" she asked softly.

 

Sora lift his eyes back up to Kairi, a sad smile planted on his lips. "I don't know if I can stand. Or move," he explained softly.

 

Kairi's eyes saddened and she closed her eyes as she looked away. Dark Kairi... Kairi bit her lip. She'd done more damage than Kairi thought.

 

Sora exhaled softly as he shut his eyes and turned away, knowing that Kairi was saddened by the words he had spoken.

 

Kairi opened her eyes to look back at him. She suddenly winced and brought a hand to her head.

 

"I'll try though," Sora said softly, shifting slightly as he kept his eyes closed. He was completely oblivious to Kairi's wince.

 

Kairi exhaled softly, nodding as she felt her head suddenly throbbing. "All right," she said.

 

Sora opened his eyes at the sound of her voice, which sounded a little strained. He lift his head and looked at Kairi. "You okay?" He asked curiously.

 

Kairi looked at him. "I don't know. I just got this sudden headache," she explained softly.

 

"Sora? Son, can you hear me?" A voice suddenly came from above Sora's head.

Sora brought a hand to his head at the sound of another voice, wincing slightly as he gazed upward, looking for the source of the voice. Was he just imagining things?

 

Kairi squeezed her eyes shut as the pounding in her head grew stronger. Why was it coming now? She hadn't done anything to... Kairi sucked in a breath in realization. She hit her head before she came here...She was waking up. She opened her eyes, her hand on the side of her head as she looked at Sora.

 

Sora made a quiet sound of frustration as he put his other hand to his head, suddenly feeling slightly dizzy. He shook his head slightly as he started thinking. Where had that voice come from? Was it really there? Or was he going crazy?

 

The throbbing grew worse, and Kairi knew that back in the real world, she was coming to her senses. She looked at Sora sadly, knowing she'd have to wait a little longer to see him again until she wasn't ill anymore.

 

"Sora?"

Sora grabbed his head more tightly, groaning slightly at the intensity of the dizziness. What was going on? Was he...waking up? He opened his eyes slightly and gazed upward.

 

Kairi bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut as one throb hurt her badly. She knew she was waking up now.

 

Sora shut his eyes again, feeling as if everything around him was spinning. He knew at that moment that he really was waking up in the real world.
