KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Dark Kairi was so stiff it was easy to tell she was straining against the girl within her, her Darkness weakening. Her knuckles were white as she clenched her fists and squeezed her eyes shut in pain. "What are you doing...?!" she said, her voice strained. "Stop it!"

Kairi appeared as Dark Kairi faded, holding the same position. "You're done messing with me!" she cried. "I'm a Princess of Heart! There is no Darkness! My heart is full of Pure Light! It conquers any Darkness!" She sucked in a breath, and then Kairi started screaming as her power started to take full affect, disappearing within Dark Kairi as she rid herself of any Darkness.

Dark Kairi threw her head back and screamed in agony, her fists clenched, her body stiffened.

 

Sora bit his lip at the sound of the loud screaming, desperatly wanting to put his hands to his ears to block the noise. It wasn't just the scream that bothered him, but what it sounded like. He hated hearing Kairi scream so much. But he realized that if he moved too quickly, he would probably fall down again. He grunt softly and pushed back with his hands, his head looking down at the ground as he sat on his knees with his hands supporting his weight.

 

Dark Kairi's body began glowing in white light. "No!!" she cried. The Light grew and became blinding as it shown throughout the black area. Kairi was finishing her off with her inner strength as the Light engulfed the whole area.

 

A soft cry left Sora's lips as he pushed himself onto his knees, using both arms to shield himself from the powerful light that flood into his sight.

 

In a few seconds, the Light faded, revealing a white, empty area instead of black. Kairi's form appeared, pink dress on and violet-blue eyes shining in victory. But she gasped, falling to her knees in weakness. All of her strength had been drained from her finishing attack on Dark Kairi. Her hair hung from over her shoulder and next to her face as she stared down at the white ground.

 

Sora slowly opened his eyes as he lowered his arms. He blinked a few times as he looked around at the white area before his eyes fell on the girl. "Kairi!"

 

Kairi lifted her head weakly, her watery eyes falling on the boy she loved with all her heart. She couldn't help but smile at him, a tear trickling down her cheek when she did. The tears were of relief, joy, and sadness mixed together.

 

Sora's bright blue eyes softened with concern and worry as he gazed at Kairi.

 

Kairi lowered her head again as the tear that had trickled down her cheek now fell to the white ground. She took in a breath and brought a hand to her heart, closing her eyes as a few more tears fell. She was just so overwhelmed, and relieved, and sad at what Sora had gone through, and happy that Dark Kairi was gone. So many different thoughts were running through her mind, but only two words kept repeating in her mind--it's over.

 

Sora blinked slowly and put one hand on the ground as he shift his feet, sitting on one knee as he put his right foot on the ground. He couldn't think of any words to say, and he didn't want to talk, anyway. The only thing he wanted to do was to hold Kairi.

 

Dark Kairi was gone, that sliver of Darkness in Kairi's heart was gone. Kairi's heart only held Pure Light, her title as a Princess of Heart repeating in her mind. She let out a shaky breath as mixed emotions were within her, causing another tear to trickle down the side of her face and fall to the floor.

 

Sora moved his other foot onto the ground, ignoring the nagging pain in his chest, side, and back. He knew that if he stood completely upright, he would fall over. So he lifted himself as much as he could before going over to Kairi's side, sitting down next to the girl as he looked at her with concern and care.

 

Kairi lowered her hand from her heart and turned her head, her violet-blue eyes glistening as she looked at Sora next to her. She bit her lip as another tear fell from her eyes.

 

Sora looked at Kairi, confused and worried about why she was crying but choosing not to say a word. Sometimes, silence was better than words. Sora looked down for a moment before slowly raising his right hand, gently running it over Kairi's red hair.

 

Kairi closed her eyes at his gentle touch, and then opened them slowly to gaze into his piercing blue eyes. She then leaned toward him and wrapped her arms around his neck, closing her eyes as she embraced him for the first time in a while.

 

Sora flinched slightly when she came in contact with his aching chest, but he didn't show anymore of a reaction to that. The comfort that her touch brought was so much stronger than the pain he felt. He lightly kept his hand on Kairi's head as he gently wrapped his other around her body.

 

Kairi felt another tear leave her eyes in relief. Sora was here, and she was in his arms. It's not exactly the kind of reunion she had planned after not seeing him since she left the hospital, but it didn't matter anymore.

 

Sora shut his eyes halfway, feeling a little more relaxed now that he held Kairi in his arms. He lightly ran his hand over her hair, otherwise staying still.

 

Kairi desperately wanted to tell Sora she was sorry, but she couldn't find her voice. No words could really describe how she was feeling, and no words were needed at this moment. Kairi blinked slowly at Sora's soft gesture, her violet-blue eyes focusing on nothing but her white surroundings.

 

To think...to think that Sora had almost lost her...that thought was the worst one that he had ever had. Ever. He bit down hard on his lip when he felt tears flood into his eyes, but he refused to let them fall. He wrapped Kairi in both of his arms as he pulled her closer, his head a few inches over her shoulder as he shut his eyes.
