KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi blinked in shock. What did she say? She was her...darkness? But how could that be?! Kairi was getting confused. She didn't know the purpose of this girl being here, she didn't know the purpose of her being here herself. And it was weird seeing herself in front of her. She didn't like it...not one bit. Kairi glared at the girl she hated to call herself... But, no, it wasn't really herself. It wasn't her, not who she was at all. She watched the dark side of herself turn her head, the expression changing across her face. All of the evil had been erased, and now it represented surprise...and shock.

"Sora!" she called, her voice light and soft, just like Kairi's was all the time, all traces of darkness gone.

Kairi blinked and followed the other's gaze, her eyes falling on the boy not too far away. But she had a feeling that something was wrong...Something didn't feel right.

 

Sora blinked, his eyes looking from the Kairi that called his name back to the other one. There were...two of them? Sora slowly took a few steps forward, so the girls could see him better. And now they were more clear too.

"Sora?" Kairi said softly in shock. Her eyes were wide...she wasn't getting any of this. "Why are you here?" Kairi had her suspicions, and with the feeling she had, this wasn't a good place for him to be.

The other Kairi turned her head to look at her. She glared at her...

Kairi flitted her eyes to the splitting image of herself and blinked at the glare that was being sent toward her. What was her "dark side" doing?

OOC: Aww. =( Okay.

 

Sora cautiously took a few more steps forward, rubbing the back of his head with his left hand. "I'm not exactly sure..."

 

Kairi tore her eyes away from her twin and looked at Sora. She looked over him, noticing that he had his cast. "Your cast..."

 

Sora slowly lift up his cast. "Yeah, I really have no clue why I have that." He let his left hand fall back to his side.

 

"I'm sorry..." Kairi apologized, not only for his arm, but for everything.

"Don't you dare apologize to him!"

Kairi flitted her eyes to her other, confused and angry.

"It's your fault he's here!" the other Kairi cried, but her voice was different from the way it had been before--evil and sly with darkness--and was a complete copy of Kairi's own voice.

Sora wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two of them. And that's why Kairi was so confused. Her expression portrayed a mix of anger and disbelief.

 

"What...?" Sora trailed off, his voice showing his confusion. There were just too many questions that were unanswered here, and he didn't like it at all. "What're you talking about?" Sora asked, shifting his eyes to the Kairi that had spoken last.

 

The Dark Kairi turned her head to him, jabbing a finger in Kairi's direction. "She's the Darkness in the debts of my heart! She's the one who is waiting for me to crack so she can fill my heart with Darkness!"

Kairi clenched her fists tighter together, her eyebrows furrowing.

"She's the one that called you here, Sora!" The Dark Kairi turned her head to Kairi, that same evil look in her eyes.

 

"But...Kairi doesn't have any darkness in her heart...does she?" Sora hesitated, looking at the silent girl before turning back to the one he had been speaking to.

 

The Dark Kairi bit her lip, putting on a face of sadness. "Behind all of the Light in my heart, there is Darkness waiting to take over. If I fall to her"--she pointed another finger in Kairi's direction--"I won't be the same person anymore. She's the Darkness somewhere within me. I don't know how and I don't know why, but she's there..."

Kairi ground her teeth together. "Stop it!"

Dark Kairi turned her head to the angry girl.

"Stop lying to him!" Kairi couldn't believe this! This replica of her thought she could turn the tables, and make it seem like she was the good one and Kairi was the bad!! But Kairi listened intently, and angrily, to the girl's words. She had found out that if SHE really did somehow cave in to this girl's antics, she would be in Darkness, and no longer be a Princess of Heart. But she didn't see how that could be...

 

Sora's eyes dart back and forth between the girls, but he couldn't see any difference between them physically. He just wished that he had some way to tell them apart. He raised a hand and rubbed the back of his head, frustrated.

 

"Stop messing with his head!" Kairi demanded, her voice representing her anger.

Dark Kairi matched Kairi's position, balling her hands up into fists and holding them next to her chest.

"Don't listen to her, Sora," Kairi pleaded, her eyes flitting to Sora's. "She's not who she says she is."

 

Sora kept his eyes on the now talkative Kairi, thinking deeply. That definitly sounded more like the Kairi he knew; she always was standing up for him. And something about her eyes just called out to him more than the other girl's. Sora shift on his feet uncomfortably, his eyes drifting back to the other Kairi for a moment.

 

"The reason you have your cast isn't because of you," Kairi said to Sora. She flitted her eyes to her other, and glared. "It's because of her."

"Don't say that!" Dark Kairi cried. "I would never do that to him!"

Kairi took in a breath and closed her eyes. She had to prove to Sora that she wasn't the enemy here. If she could just find some way to show him...She opened her eyes. She knew how, and it only required her heart to do it. The Sora she loved was engraved in her heart, the one without the cast. If she could just make the injury disappear...

 

"What?!" Sora questioned, now more confused than ever. How was it possible for either Kairi to have made him appear with his cast? That really didn't make any sense at all. He had almost been sure that was the real Kairi, but now he wasn't so sure...

It was odd; normally he could sense darkness, but for some reason, he couldn't in this place. He sadly realized that he had no way of telling the two apart other than his gut feeling. He bit his lip and looked at the ground for a moment, thinking.

 

OOC: If you're confused, would you like me to explain this to you in PM? I want to try and help you understand so you're not lost. =/ I want you to understand before we go any further (if you don't mind).

OOC: Okay, jumping back in...

Kairi closed her eyes, reaching into her heart for the Light to make Sora's cast disappear. If she succeeded, she could prove to Sora who she is, and that her "reflection" is the enemy. Kairi could feel herself getting closer, but just as she got closer, she felt something wrong, and opened her eyes. She looked at Dark Kairi a few feet ahead of her, who had her eyes closed as well. Kairi felt uneasy about this, and then her eyes flitted to Sora's arm, the cast starting to fade.

 

"Huh?" Sora questioned, lifting up his right arm as he saw the cast start to fade. And then...things started to make sense. This was a dream, after all. And which girl was actually darkness, she must have caused this somehow.
