KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas nodded once. "Good," he said softly.

Kairi yawned and stretched on the couch. She laid there for a minute as she settled into the cushion of the couch, the blankets tangled over her form. She didn't know what time it was, but her medicine must've made her conk out.

 

Namine smiled softly for a moment, and then asked a question. "You didn't stay here the whole time, did you?" She looked into his eyes as she let her question out into the open. If he wanted to move, he could have. She didn't want to force him to sit with her.

 

Roxas smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head with his free hand, glancing away for a moment. "Well..." Yeah, he actually did, but he didn't really have anywhere else to go.

 

Namine shook her head softly, a smile small smile on her lips. "You didn't have to stay," she said quietly.

 

Roxas dropped his hand to his side and shook his head. "No, it's okay. I can't exactly go anywhere anyways," he explained softly, jerking a thumb to his crutches next to him.

Kairi pushed herself up into a sitting position, sighing softly as she gazed down at the floor. She was starving, but she didn't know if she could keep anything down. Nutrients would be good for her, and she needed at least a little something in her system. Kairi pushed herself up and started toward the kitchen.

 

Namine nodded sadly and put one hand on his arm, trying to comfort him.

 

Roxas smiled weakly at her. "It's all right," he said softly.

Kairi entered the kitchen, and blinked, surprised that she wasn't as weak as she was before. That was good, and it cheered her up a little. She was getting better.

 

Namine softly returned his smile, her eyes gazing up into his.

 

Roxas lowered his head a little, his forehead leaning lightly against Namine's. He exhaled softly and closed his eyes, glad that she was here with him. This experience would be lonely without her.

Kairi reached into a cupboard and pulled out a box of Poptarts, opening it and pulling one out. She broke off a piece of it and popped it in her mouth, the strawberry taste on her tongue.

 

Namine smiled faintly when Roxas got closer. She lift her head a little and gently pushed her lips against his for a second.

 

Roxas smiled inwardly at her gentle gesture, and kissed her back lightly.

Kairi's hands were shaking a little as she swallowed every piece of her food, afraid that she wouldn't be able to hold it down. She didn't want to throw up anymore, and she was afraid that eating would cause her to again.

 

Namine slowly shut her eyes and continued to kiss him lightly.

 

Roxas held her hand tightly as he kissed her, thankful she was here.

Kairi didn't realize how fast she ate the poptart until it was gone. She sighed softly and leaned against the counter, waiting for the sickness to take over.

 

Namine felt like her heart would leap out of her chest as Roxas kissed her. His love made her feel so happy.

 

Roxas had the urge to smile, but he didn't. Instead, he kissed Namine a little more as his happiness rang out.

Kairi crossed her arms, still a little cold and having her chills. Her stomach didn't hurt anymore, but that didn't mean the flu was completely gone. The vomiting stage was done and over (which she was undeniably thankful for) but that didn't mean she still wouldn't feel very good.

 

Namine slowly backed away from the kiss, her eyes shut as she kept her forehead against his.

 

Roxas felt the smile from earlier spread on his lips as his forehead leaned against hers.

Kairi sighed softly and went to the thermostat in the hallway, turning it up as she crossed her arms. To anyone healthy, this house was probably like a sauna, but she didn't care; she was having chills and needed warmth.

 

Namine smiled softly, only showing a small amount of the happiness she felt.

 

Roxas closed his eyes and exhaled softly, content and comfortable.

Kairi walked down the hallway to the bathroom and shut the door behind her to do her business.

 

Namine laughed softly, opening her eyes a crack as she gazed down at their hands.
