KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas noticed that she broke eye contact. "Was my bed uncomfortable?" he asked.

 

"No," Namine said quickly, looking back up at Roxas. "No it wasn't that. I just...had another nightmare. That's all." Her voice was quieter as she spoke the last two sentences, her eyes slowly wandering back to the carpet.

 

Roxas' eyebrows furrowed over his piercing blue eyes after she spoke. Another nightmare... "Do you want to talk about it?"

 

Namine bit her lip and slowly shook her head. "Maybe later," she said softly.

 

Roxas nodded in understanding. She'd tell him when she was ready.

 

Namine blinked twice, her eyelids feeling really heavy.

 

Roxas kept his eyes on her, still concerned. "You want to sit down?"

 

Namine looked up into his eyes again. "You don't have to move if you're comfortable," her voice was pretty quiet.

 

Roxas shook his head. His feet were all ready on the ground, so there was plenty of room for her.

 

Namine blinked when she saw him shake his head. And then her eyes found his cast, which was on the floor.Wow, she must have been really zonked not to have noticed that his foot was on the floor.

 

Roxas patted the spot next to him. She looked really tired.

 

Namine saw him pat the spot on the couch next to him and silently stepped forward and sat herself down on the spot. She didn't trust herself right now; she felt so dazed and exhausted.

 

Roxas gaze followed her when she sat down. He was a little worried; Namine didn't look so good.

 

Namine leaned her head against the back of the couch and shut her eyes halfway, gazing down into her lap.

 

Roxas reached over and grabbed one of her hands, taking it into his.

 

Namine exhaled softly when she saw Roxas' hand go to hers. She let her eyes shut at the gentle touch.

 

Roxas started stroking her hand with his thumb, his eyes locked on their hands.

 

Namine smiled faintly at the soft touch, appreciating it more than she could put into words.

 

Roxas smiled faintly as he continued to stroke her hand. He'd try to comfort her the best he could.

 

Namine sighed softly and turned her head, lightly resting it on Roxas' shoulder.
