KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas blinked his piercing blue eyes as he began to think about what the next 3 weeks would be like. He knew that if he took good enough care of his leg, and didn't injure it in any way or make it worse, he could probably get his cast off...right? He at least hoped so; this thing was slowing him down, but that was the consequence he had to pay for going into Boston Market that day. But he didn't regret it. Sora and Kairi needed his help, and he was glad he delivered his own share of help.

 

Namine pushed herself up off the bed and drug her feet as she walked out of the bedroom and toward the bathroom. She just needed to get the tear stains of her cheeks, and then she would head downstairs.

 

Besides, Roxas thought, if I hadn't shown up, I would 've only blamed myself for their injuries, which could've been worse. Or maybe even their...death. Roxas squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head slightly at the thought, getting it out of his mind. That was definitely something he didn't want to think about.

 

Namine pulled up her sleeves and turned on the water in the bathroom sink, the cold water flowing into her cupped hands. She shut her eyes and leaned forward as she splashed the water on her cheeks, which was both relieving and very cold at the same time.

 

Roxas wondered how the two were doing. He knew that Sora was still in the hospital, who was hopefully doing better. And the last time he checked, Kairi was still sick with a cold. Hopefully she was doing better as well.

 

Namine turned off the water and wiped her face using a towel that was sitting by the sink. She looked at herself in the mirror and let out a soft sigh when she saw how bad she looked. Her eyes were a little bloodshot, and her eyes looked a little darker than they normally did. She looked away, biting her lip as she gazed at the floor.

 

Roxas sighed softly and put his hands on both sides of him, slowly pushing himself into a sitting position. He leaned against the arm of the couch, his legs still lying on the couch.

 

Namine pushed some of her blonde hair behind her ear, realizing that she would have to go home and shower soon. She softly exhaled and exit the bathroom, starting down the stairs.

 

Roxas stared down at his cast blankly. As he thought about it, he began to realize that 3 weeks really wasn't that long. It could be longer, and worse, but he'd be all right. After all, he'd rather keep it on for a long duration and have it healed well than have it on for a short amount of time and still have something wrong with his leg.

 

Namine held onto the railing as she walked down the stairs, her eyes on her feet as she walked.

 

Roxas bit his lip as he slowly turned his body, carefully moving his leg to the floor.

 

Namine looked up when she made it down the stairs and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She silently walked toward the living room, wondering if Roxas was up yet.

 

Roxas sighed softly, scratching his head. He stared down at the cast again. What a mess...

 

Namine walked through the doorway softly, looking at the window and then over at Roxas. She smiled faintly when she saw that he was awake.

 

Roxas felt someone else's presence in the room, and turned his head. He was greeted by Namine's soft smile, which made him smile faintly in turn.

 

"Morning," Namine said softly, a small smile on her lips as she started over toward Roxas.

 

"Morning," Roxas replied softly as he trailed her with his blue eyes.

 

Namine stood in front of the couch as she gently gazed down at Roxas. "Sleep okay?" She asked, making sure he was okay.

 

Roxas nodded. He had to admit, it wasn't the best sleep he ever had, but it was more comfortable than the hospital bed. So he did get a good enough sleep. He looked into Namine's eyes, noticing they were a little red, and a little dark. "Did you?" he asked softly, concern on his features.

 

Namine gave him a faint smile, noticing that he suddenly appeared concerned. She wasn't surprised; she still looked pretty exhausted. "I couldn't sleep straight through the night," she said softly, her eyes looking down at the floor. If he kept asking questions, she would tell him that she had another nightmare, but if not, then he didn't need to know.
