KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

"Sweet dreams," Roxas replied softly.

Kairi leaned her head against one of the couch's pillows, her eyes on the TV. She flipped through the channels until she found one of her favorite shows on the screen. She relaxed into the cushions of the couch, her eyes glued to the screen.

 

"You too," Namine said softly as she turned around and forced herself to move toward the bedroom. She had to make it there before she collapsed from exhaustion.

 

Roxas smiled as his eyes trailed her form, his eyelids drooping a little. He didn't understand how he could be so exhausted, but it was probably his medicine he took a little while ago that made him so sleepy.

 

Namine watched her feet as she walked down the dimly lit hallway. She grabbed onto the railing and slowly made her way up the stairs.

 

Roxas sighed softly, tiredly. He gripped his crutches a little tighter and started toward the couch sleepily.

 

Namine exhaled softly and came up at the top of the stairs, turning into Roxas' bedroom.

 

Roxas reached the couch and slowly turned around before lowering himself to the cushions. He leaned his crutches against the back of the couch. He then lowered himself into a lying position, slowly bringing his broken leg up on the couch. He laid his head back on one of the pillows and sighed as he relaxed. Roxas tiredly turned his head away from the window and the moonlight that came into the room, closing his eyes.

 

Namine stumbled to the bed and pulled away the covers before tucking herself into bed. Her head gently landed on the pillows and a soft sigh escaped her lips as she faded out of conciousness.

OOC: Gotta go for the night, bye!

 

Roxas sighed softly, his eyes stuck in their closed state. In only a minute or two, he fell asleep.

OOC: 'Kay. See you later!

Namine rolled over in bed, still half asleep even though the morning sun shone into the bedroom.

 

Roxas took in a breath, turning his head toward the window, the bright sunshine shining down on his face.

 

Namine sucked in a breath and forced her eyes open, blinking several times as the bright sun shone right into her eyes. She let out a soft groan and rolled over, facing the other direction.

 

The light was bright to Roxas even when his eyes were closed, and he could still sense the brightness behind his eyelids. He opened his eyes slowly, squinting and raising a hand in front of his eyes to block the sun that came in through the window. Roxas shifted his position, moving his injured leg which sent a shot of pain throughout his leg. He bit his lip and groaned in pain, waiting for it to subside.

 

Namine exhaled and burried her head into the pillow again, her eyes shutting as she tried to get a few more minutes of sleep.

 

Roxas gripped the couch cushion while the pain rang out in his leg. He fought the urge to make a sound, afraid he'd wake Namine upstairs.

 

Namine pulled the blankets up closer to her neck, shivering slightly. It felt like she hadn't gotten much sleep at all last night. Why was that?

 

Roxas' clutch loosened as the pain subsided, and he let out the breath he had been holding. He closed his eyes in relief and then opened them, looking toward the window. He squinted as he thought of what time it was, but he didn't have the energy to get up and look yet.

 

At that moment, Namine remembered. She had woken up around 4 AM because of another nightmare, and it had taken her nearly and hour to fall back asleep. And even then, she didn't sleep too much. She kept on waking up. She sighed and brought a hand to her face. As she ran her hand along her cheek, she noticed that it felt like she had cried several hours ago. She didn't remember that part; she must have done it in her sleep.

 

Roxas sighed and turned his head away from the window, staring at the back of the couch.

 

Namine opened her eyes and slowly lift her head off the pillow, feeling dazed from the night before. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she forced herself to a sitting position, her legs hanging off the edge of the bed. She brought a hand to her face and rubbed her sleepy eyes.
