KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas turned his gaze to her, his piercing blue orbs meeting her light blue. He smiled softly at her.

Kairi sobbed into her knees, tears falling into her lap. The crying hurt her stomach, but she knew that she had nothing to throw up anymore because nothing was in her stomach.

 

Namine softly returned his smile, the room dark except for the moonlight.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows in anger. Why did all this have to happen? Why?! They were all miserable now! At least...he knew that he was. It was New Years, and he was stuck in a hospital feeling sick and in pain! He just felt so angry and sad and confused. He curled his hand in a fist and felt tears flood his now-closed eyes.

 

Roxas' smile widened slightly at hers and he lowered his head, his lips meeting hers in one gentle movement.

Kairi sucked in a ragged breath, hurting herself more than letting the hurt out. She felt her wet eyelashes tickle her cheeks as her eyes stayed closed.

 

Namine shut her eyes and gently returned his kiss. There was no place that she would have rather been at that moment.

Sora let out an angry sigh and forced himself to sit up, though he immediatly regret it. He groaned and put a hand to his head, keeping his eyes shut tightly.

 

Roxas smiled inwardly when she kissed him back. He loved Namine so much, and he didn't want to be anywhere else.

Kairi's crying died down and she let her head rest on her knees. She was exhausted, from her sickness and tiredness altogether.

 

Namine continued to kiss him as she raised one hand and gently set it on his cheek.

Sora angrilly slammed a fist down on the bed, the dizziness taking over his other senses. I hate this! I hate this so much, he thought as the tears hovered behind his closed eyelids.

 

Roxas felt a surge of happiness when her hand touched his cheek. He would do the same if it weren't for his crutches holding him up.

Kairi felt really uncomfortable. She needed her comfort zone; Sora. She missed him, but she knew she'd see him soon. Her flu wasn't as bad as it was earlier; hopefully it was dying down.

 

Namine gently stroked Roxas' cheek with her thumb, their kiss staying soft and gentle.

A few tears escaped Sora's eyes as he forced them open and gazed toward the window. This whole thing was just too frustrating. He really, really wished he wasn't alone.

 

Roxas kissed her gently, appreciating the moment and that Namine was here.

But Kairi's headache told her that it wasn't. As well as the weakness and exhaustion. If it were to just go away....Kairi lifted her head. She hadn't taken medicine in a while, and maybe that's what she needed.

 

Namine stilled her hand, their kiss slowly coming to an end.

Being alone had always terrified Sora, and it still did. Especially now, when he had no idea what was in store for any of them. That frightened him more than any enemy ever had.

 

Roxas pulled his lips from hers gently, his eyes still closed.

Kairi sniffled and shakily rose to her feet, using the wall for support. She exited the bathroom and started toward the stairs.

 

Namine backed away slowly, her eyes opening halfway as she gazed at the floor.

Sora sighed and laid back down, his head pounding in pain. He'd probably stay up for a while just staring into space. He was too awake now to sleep, but too weak to move.

 

Roxas opened his eyes slowly and his eyes found her face. He smiled faintly before looking down at his feet, one with a cast, the other with a sock and his sweat pants covering them.

Kairi grabbed onto the railing as she reached the staircase, gripping it tightly as she descended so she wouldn't fall. She realized how weak and unsteady she was while she had walked down the hall, stumbling a little, but she was glad that she now had something to hold onto.

 

Namine shut her eyes again, softly exhaling. Now that she was so relaxed and content, she felt so exhausted. The calm silence welcomed her sleep, and she wondered if she wouldn't just collapse right there and then.

 

Roxas lifted his head and looked at Namine, even though she wasn't looking at him. "We should get some rest," he suggested, his voice showing his tiredness. "We don't have a guest bedroom, but my room's open. I can't get up to my room so easily with this broken leg, and I'm too tired to even try. So I'll sleep on the couch."

Kairi slowly made her way to the kitchen, reaching the cupboard and opening it to grab her medicine.

 

Namine looked up at Roxas, her sleepy eyes gazing into his. It took a moment for what he said to sink in. It didn't quite feel right for her to take his bed when he was the one with the broken leg. But then again, she didn't want him hurting himself trying to get to his room...

 

Roxas read the look on her face and smiled weakly. "It's fine. Really." He could see in her eyes that she was exhausted, and she needed a nice sleep.

Kairi popped two pills in her mouth and swallowed them without any water. She knew she wouldn't be able to keep the liquid down anyways, so there was no point...and she didn't want to vomit anymore.

 

"...You're sure?" Namine hesitated, her eyes flitting shut for a moment before she forced them open again.

 

Roxas nodded. "Positive." He smiled weakly at her and then leaned forward, gently kissing her on the forehead. He pulled his lips back after a second and smiled faintly again. "Go get some rest, okay? I'll see you when you wake up." Roxas blinked, his eyelids opening only halfway from being so tired.

Kairi sighed weakly and shakily made her way into the living room, curling up on the couch with the blankets. She took in a soft breath and grabbed the remote, turning on the television. She decided she'd watch some TV to get her mind off being sick and her sadness.

 

Namine smiled weakly. "Okay," she said softly. She lift her head and plant a light kiss on Roxas cheek. "Goodnight," she whispered after she had backed away, her eyes closed halfway.
