Sora gently led Kairi in the dance, taking his steps slowly. The soft guitar sounded beautiful in the background, and even though they were outside, the music could still be heard perfectly. He mentally wondered if there were speakers out here, but he quickyl forgot that thought, too focused on the girl he was dancing with.

"Every single day

Kairi listened to the music as she gazed at the boy she was dancing with, thinking the song was very sweet, and beautiful. And where she stood...or danced, rather, was beautiful itself. Gosh, tonight was just getting better and better. And the fact that she was with Sora, Kairi knew it was already perfect.

 

As he danced with Kairi, Sora gently brought his head forward, letting it stay slightly above Kairi's shoulder. Listening to the guitar for a brief moments, he realized just how peaceful the song was. The song continued to roll on in that state as the lyrics started again.

Your hair always hiding your face
I wonder why you've been hurting
I wish I had some way to say

Kairi leaned a little closer to Sora, closing her eyes in comfort as they slowly danced. The moment was very peaceful, but also full of love. Kairi felt relaxed at that knowledge as the song continued, the girl listening to the lyrics.

Sora held Kairi lightly in his arms, listening to the chorus end. It was a precious song, and he knew how it felt to be in this situation. Back when he and Kairi weren't together, he had this feeling everday. He wanted desperatly to be a part of her life, and though he was shy about it sometimes, he tried very hard to be there and be the person she could run to in times of need. Sora shut his eyes, realizing that he now was the person who could hold her whenever she needed him to, or just wanted him to. The had gotten their happy ending. The music picked up slightly, bringing Sora out of his thoughts.

"I'm stretching but you're just out of reach

Kairi took in a soft breath and then released it through her nose, her eyes still closed. She would have never thought a moment like this would happen between her and Sora a couple months ago, when they weren't even together. But now she didn't have to imagine anything; she knew it would happen one day, and imagining it wouldn't even be good enough.

 

Sora breathed softly through his mouth, the breath gently going past Kairi's ear. He was the luckiest guy in the world; there was no doubt about that. Life without Kairi would be unimaginable now that they were so close. He probably wouldn't be able to survive without her, but he was sure that they would never be seperated. Forever and a day. It was as simple as that four word phrase. He didn't know how Kairi had come up with it, but it fit their relationship perfectly.

Kairi felt herself smile faintly, Sora's breath tickling her ear a little. But that faint smile stayed as she danced with him. She couldn't imagine being with anyone else at this moment; no one else could compare to Sora. Honestly, Kairi couldn't see herself dating anyone else. Sora was hers...her loving, trusting boyfriend. Forever and a day, and she didn't want it any other way.

Sora's dance slowed slightly, the teen recognizing that the music was slowing down. He didn't let it stop completely, though, since the moment was too precious to lose. No, he wouldn't let this feeling slip away. Not ever.

"I'm stretching but you're just out of reach
I'm ready when you're ready for me"

 

Kairi's smile faded, her expression changing to one of comfort and peace. She exhaled softly in silence, hearing the music fade out as her dance with Sora slowed.

 

Sora softly inhaled before silently releasing the breath through his nose. The music had faded out in a matter of seconds, but their slow dance continued anyway, though it was hardly dancing anymore since it was so slow.

 

Kairi opened her eyes slowly and fully, turning her head slightly as she kept the same position, staying close to Sora. Her eyes saw the side of his face, his skin visible where his mask didn't cover. Even if the music had ended and their dance had slowed, Kairi didn't want the moment to end; it was too precious to her.

 

Sora kept his eyes shut for a few more moments, their dance slow and calm. But after a little while, he slowed their dance even more, gently bringing it to a halt.

 

Kairi felt the dance come to a halt, but kept her position. She didn't want to let go, too comfortable in Sora's arms. She lowered her head slightly, closing her eyes halfway at the peaceful moment as her hands stayed together behind Sora's neck.

 

Sora opened his eyes partway, his gaze forward and looking at the side of the garden. He turned his head slightly, seeing Kairi's eyes half closed. Without thought, he leaned over, planting a light kiss on her cheek before backing away.

 

Kairi felt a faint smile come to her lips as she blinked once, opening her eyes fully. She turned her head slightly, Sora's face coming into view as her eyes met his bright blue.

 

Sora opened his eyes more widely when he met Kairi's eyes, seeing peace in their violet-blue depths. He smiled softly and leaned over again, whispering two simple words in her ear. "You're beautiful," he said in a soft whisper. He didn't say that she looked beautiful, though that was true as well. However, the point he wanted to get across now was how beautiful Kairi herself was. Her heart, her eyes, everything about her was perfect and flawless to Sora.

 

Kairi felt her heart skip a beat when Sora spoke, his breath tickling her ear again when he whispered. Her faint smile widened into a soft one across her lips as she felt heat rise to her cheeks, the girl feeling timid.

 

Sora smiled softly, his eyes flickering down for a moment before he pulled back. He kept his gentle gaze on Kairi, the faint lighting around them showing that some redness had come to her cheeks.

Kairi's eyes met Sora's again, her soft smile on her lips. She brought one hand up from behind the boy's neck, gently bringing it to the side of his face before running it lightly through his hair. "Thank you," she said softly, letting her fingers rest in his brown spikes as she smiled. "You're sweet." Her eyes gazed into Sora's, seeing the love in his eyes and feeling it around her.
