KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora smiled at Kairi's response, and he knew that Kairi could tell he was feeling a little nervous. A little? Okay, maybe it's a bit more than that... Sora thought to himself, still gazing at Kairi dumbly. "You look...incredible," Sora managed to say, surprising himself. He had actually spoken more than one word, so that was definitly a start.

Namine's smile softened as she looked up at Roxas, noticing that he was searching her eyes. She didn't mind, though; whatever emotions were shown in her sky-blue orbs tonight...she was sure they weren't bad ones. The girl kept her gaze with Roxas', the girl feeling a little less shy as swam in his ocean-blue eyes.

 

Kairi's smile grew a little, the girl feeling herself blush. "Thank you," she responded shyly before stating her own thoughts. "You look great." Kairi was a little surprised she didn't accidentally fumble with her words, and actually got them out without pausing. Though it didn't matter, because what she spoke was the truth; Sora looked terrific.

Roxas blinked once, bringing himself out of the depths of Namine's sky-blue eyes. He focused on her again, his lips spreading a little more into a warm smile as his arms stayed around her delicately.

 

Sora's smile grew at Kairi's words, the teen feeling shy himself. "Thanks," he said, feeling his cheeks pinken slightly. He held Kairi's gaze for a moment longer before chuckling in nervousness, bringing back his one hand and setting it on the back of his head.

Namine's shy smile turned into a warmer one as she held Roxas' gaze, the girl starting to lose her feeling of nervousness. Even though just looking up at Roxas in his adorable black mask made her feel jittery...ugh, she was doing it again! If she kept on thinking about that, she would be giggly and shy all night. I just have to get used to it, she decided. Even though Roxas looked amazing, she would have to move past that if she were going to lose her shy feeling.

 

Kairi nodded slightly at his words. And then she found herself shyly giggling again when Sora did. It was apparent that both of them were nervous, but also excited. Kairi had never done something like this before, and neither had Sora. She guessed that was one of the reasons they were both so jittery and a little tense. And another reason was because of how handsome Sora looked in his tuxedo, and white mask...

As Roxas looked down at the blonde in his arms, he couldn't shake the feeling he had inside. It was a mixture of nervousness and shyness, as well as excitement. He was ready to have fun with Namine tonight, dancing and having a good time. But the fact that she looked so mezmerizing made him feel shy and a little tense from nerves. He really didn't want to mess this up; Namine looked wonderful, and he just wanted to provide her with a great night that she wouldn't forget anytime soon. He wanted it to be special, in a way.

 

Sora's soft chuckle faded as he looked at Kairi, smiling in embarassment. He brought his hand off the back of his head and offered it to Kairi, his smile softening. Even if he was nervous, he had to set aside that emotion to make sure that Kairi had a good night. He would do whatever it took to make her happy.

A few emotions were obvious in Roxas eyes: Happiness, nervousness, shyness, awe... Namine felt herself blush at that emotion. And one other emotion--a desire to please. Namine knew without thought that this emotion was also directed toward her, since Roxas obviously wanted to make sure they had a fun night. But, Namine wanted to do the same for him as well, so she was sure that wish would come true. The blonde girl brought her head up slightly, giving Roxas a light peck on the cheek before backing away.

 

Kairi looked down at Sora's hand, her soft smile widening slightly as she let go of her navy blue dress and slipped her hand into Sora's. Her eyes flitted back up to his, her heart rate growing a little faster than normal.

Roxas felt his smile widen at the gesture, his eyes staying on Namine as their color popped against his black mask. Namine's did as well, against her bluish-grey mask and her dress. He couldn't doubt the fact that she was glowing beautifully. But he also couldn't make himself believe that she was his, no matter how much his heart new it with great intensity.

 

Sora gripped Kairi's hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze. He loved her so much, not only for her beautiful appearance, but also for her beautiful heart. She was the most special girl he knew, and she always showed such compassion, and care, and love toward others. Her spirit was what had attracted Sora to her in the first place, and she had never lost that spirit.

Namine smiled softly at Roxas, feeling her own smile grow at the appearance of his. Gosh, she loved him so much. She loved him with all her heart, and she knew that he loved her the same. That was the best feeling in the world, and she was constantly reminded of that feeling whenever she was with him.

 

Kairi gazed into Sora's eyes, her happiness showing in her smile and also in her eyes. The look in Sora's was the same, love and care in their blue depths. She remembered the first time she had seen Sora; his playful and goofy attitude had made her so full of joy. But his strong love and compassion for those close to him was what really had drawn her in. Sora was such a great person, both in mind, body, and heart. She could never doubt that, nor could she ever doubt him. Her love for him was too strong for that.

Roxas's smile softened in awe, the lights from the disco ball reflecting on Namine's face, making her shine more than she already was. He took in a breath as he held her, releasing it softly as he looked her in the eyes.

 

Sora lightly held Kairi's hand in his for a moment, holding her gaze. He could feel his shyness disapearing, thanks to the gentle look in Kairi's eyes. His smile grew slightly as he felt the pressure disapearing. Though everything around them was new and strange, their love would always stay the same. No, that was a lie, actually; their love wouldn't stay the same. It would grow and flourish. And Sora was very okay with that.

Namine kept her eyes on Roxas', seeing that he still felt a little shy and nervous. Well, hopefully she could help make those two emotions disapear. She didn't want him to feel awkward; she just wanted him to be himself--the boy she fell in love with.

 

Kairi could feel the tension slip away, and she knew she could thank Sora for that. His kindness and gentleness with her was very comforting, and she knew she didn't have a reason to be nervous anymore, especially since she was with him. They were going to have a great time together tonight, and she wasn't going to let her nerves stop her.

Roxas heard the song playing start to fade out slightly, and he knew it was coming to an end. He was paying so much attention to Namine that he had completely forgotten the music blaring, or the people dancing around them as they stood in the middle of the dance floor, right under the disco ball. He figured that since they were already in the middle of the dance floor, and the song was ending, he would use it to his advantage.

 

Sora gently squeezed Kairi's hand, recognizing a new look in her eye. It was one of comfort and relaxation, and Sora knew that he had some how broken the tension...for both of them.

Namine kept her eyes on Roxas, though she suddenly realized a difference around her. The people were slowing their dancing, and the music was softening as well. Namine smiled weakly; she had been so wrapped up in her thoughts and emotions that she had completely forgotten that she and Roxas were standing in the middle of the dance floor, with people surrounding them. How she could have forgotten, she didn't know. But it was true all the same.

 

Kairi squeezed Sora's hand back lightly in response, her smile widening slightly.

Roxas turned his head a little, tearing his eyes away from Namine's for the moment. He noticed everyone slowing their dancing, the music slowing as well. He looked down at Namine, his grip loosening around her as he started to gently release himself from the embrace.

 

Sora's soft smile grew slightly as he gazed at Kairi, the boy aware that things were calming down around them.

When she felt Roxas pulling himself away, Namine did the same, slowly bringing her arms back to her sides. She didn't know why she had suddenly hugged him in the first place. It's probably because I missed him, she thought to herself. I spent the whole day without him, in a public place, with tons of other people... Namine bit her lip lightly, pulling herself out of those thoughts. She hadn't been without him like that for a while, and it actually had made her pretty nervous throught the day. But she had survived without injury, so that was definitly a good thing. Still, she had been so happy and relieved so see him, that she supposed that was the reason why she had hugged him.

 

Kairi's ears picked up the slower music, and her eyes caught on to the slower movements behind Sora as she gazed at him, happiness in her eyes. Her smile softened as she looked up, a glow from the disco ball catching her eye.

Roxas backed up a step when Namine let go. He looked at her, a soft smile coming upon his face. He brought his left hand behind his back slightly as he bowed a little, offering out his right hand. "May I have this dance?" he asked, his soft smile on his lips as he looked up at the girl.

 

"Would you like to dance?" Sora asked softly, his voice able to be heard over the gentle music that played over the speakers.

Namine giggled softly at Roxas' bow, thinking that it was an adorable movement. "Yes, you may," she responded with a smile, the girl bringing her hands down slightly and lightly grabbing her dress as she curtsied. After a moment, she returned to her previous posture, her one hand falling to her side. Then she gracefully lifted her hand, slipping it into Roxas' outstretched hand.

 

Kairi lowered her gaze to Sora, her smile growing slightly. "Of course," she answered, her eyes on his.

Roxas's smile turned into a small grin as he straightened up, holding Namine's left hand in his right. He took a step closer to her, bringing his left hand to her side.

 

Sora smiled at Kairi's response, the teen delighted at her answer. He held onto her left hand lightly as he took one step forward, lightly setting his hand on Kairi's side.

Namine's soft smile grew at Roxas' touch, the girl feeling his hand gently on her side. That smile stayed on her face as she kept her eyes locked with Roxas. She brought up her right hand and gently set it on Roxas' shoulder, hearing the music start playing softly around her.

 

Kairi's smile grew a little as she brought up her right hand, setting it on Sora's shoulder as she looked up at him, the music playing around her.

Roxas's small grin softened into a gentle smile as he looked down at Namine, starting to slowly dance to the music.

And finally the silence
Looking out, looking back across the sky
Trying to find a meaning
Knowing that I just left it all behind

 

Sora lightly took a step in the dance, keeping his gentle grip on Kairi's hand as he listened to the music, though that wasn't his main focus. His main focus was Kairi.

Namine followed Roxas' lead, dancing to the soft, gentle music. Her eyes stayed on his, the girl never wanting to look away.

 

Kairi's smile softened as she danced with Sora, her eyes staying on him.

Roxas kept his eyes on Namine's, not looking away from her as he slow-danced with her.

Still I smell a lingering softness
Where did she go
How did she go
I wanna wanna know
I wanna know that she'll be coming here to me
