KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora held onto Kairi's limp body tightly, though his grip was gentle anyway. He finished standing up, now upright as he gazed lovingly at the girl in his arms.

Namine looked over at a small movement, catching it in the corner of her eye. She saw Roxas' hand and she smiled slightly, knowing that he was watching her and taking in her movements. The blonde girl lifted a hand, slipping it into Roxas' lightly.

 

Kairi took in a silent breath, releasing it softly as she rested in Sora's arms.

Roxas's faint smile grew slightly, the boy wrapping his hand around Namine's and holding it securely. He started to stand up slowly, expecting to help Namine as well.

 

Namine set her feet on the floor underneath herself. She gripped Roxas' hand more tighlty with her one hand and set the other on the ground, starting to push herself up.

 

Roxas brought Namine's hand up with him as he stood up, helping her in the process as his eyes gazed gently at her form.

 

Namine brought herself up with Roxas' help, feeling a little shaky at first because of her groggyness.

 

Roxas observed Namine's movements, her lack of energy seeming to get the best of her. He gripped her hand a little tighter, his eyes on her. He didn't want her accidentally falling or stumbling in the lack of light, especially in such a groggy state.

 

Namine tightened her grip on Roxas' hand without thought, the girl grateful that he was still holding her hand. She blinked one time before flitting her eyes up, meeting Roxas' ocean-blue orbs.

 

Roxas offered Namine a soft smile, the boy holding her hand in his as he looked her in the eyes. He would tell her about the ball in the morning.

A light breeze blew through the dark park, causing Kairi to snuggle closer to Sora in her sleep. She got chills from the slight wind, the girl turning to Sora for warmth.

 

Namine smiled softly in response, seeing gentleness, love, and happiness in Roxas' eyes. That made her feel very comfortable, and she silently wished she could gaze into his eyes forever. When she felt a cool breeze, she shivered, the wind blowing over her open arms.

Sora held Kairi closer when the wind blew, feeling her shiver slightly. It was really time for them to go.

 

Roxas noticed Namine shake slightly from the cold wind, and without thought he let his hand slip out of hers and brought his arms around her shoulders, gently pulling her closer to him. He looked down at her, smiling softly, before he turned his head to look at Sora. He nodded to his friend, signaling they were ready to go.

Kairi exhaled a breath when she felt Sora hold her closer, the closeness comforting her in her sleep.

 

Namine smiled softly when she felt Roxas pull her close, the girl feeling much warmer now that she was close to him. She lowered her gaze to the ground, looking down at her feet.

Sora nodded slightly, turning around and starting to exit the park. Kairi would have to stay at his house tonight, since Sora didn't have a house key for her home.

 

Roxas held Namine close as he kept his arm around her shoulders, starting to follow Sora silently out of the park. He had enough money for a cab, and figured that she could stay at his house tonight, figuring that since she was so exhausted she would fall asleep on the way there.

Kairi kept her head against Sora's shoulder, fast asleep in his arms as he carried her out of the park.

I can't believe we're doing this, Namine thought excitedly, standing beside her best friend inside the building entrance. Just that morning, Roxas had sat down with her, explaining that he had gotten to tickets to a masquerade ball. He had asked her if she wanted to go, and she immediatly said yes, which Roxas replied to with a smile. The rest of the day was spent at the mall. She and Kairi gotten their hair done, bought dresses, as well everything else they needed, while Roxas and Sora went shopping for tuxes. And now...now it was 6:30 PM exactly. She and Kairi had just arrived at the ball, which was already filled with teenagers and college students alike.

I can't believe we're doing this, Sora mused to himself, nervously putting one hand in his pocket as he stood against the wall inside the main room, his best friend with him. He scanned the floor, looking for Kairi as dance music blared. Of course he shouldn't have been nervous, since this was Kairi he was going with. He smiled slightly at the memory of that morning, when he had asked Kairi to come to the ball with him. He had been shy about it, feeling slightly flustered when he brought up the question to Kairi. But the redhead simply laughed, saying that she would love to go with him. She was obviously excited for this, and now Sora was as well. He would do whatever it took to make sure Kairi had a fun night.

Kairi stood inside the entrance of the building where the ball was held, her best friend to her immediate left. She exhaled a breath as her eyes flitted around the room, her violet-blue eyes finding many decorations around the room for the occasion. Many teenagers and college students were in the room as well, the place filled with a good amount of attendants. A smile came to her face, the girl's excitement flooding her thoughts. I can't believe we're actually at a ball, she thought, remembering back to this morning when Sora had surprised her with the tickets. Of course she had agreed to go, this occasion being one of a kind. She was glad she was here, the fact that it was a masquerade ball making it somewhat mysterious.

Roxas stood against the wall next to Sora inside the main room, his blue eyes visible behind his black mask, which only covered his eyes and nose. He looked around the room, trying to locate the blonde he had asked to go with him. He saw many blondes in the room, their faces in masks, but he knew that none of them were Namine. Roxas let out a breath, a little nervous but also excited. I can't believe we're really here, he thought. He knew that Namine would grace the place with her gentle presence, and her beauty as soon as she got here. He would be sure to do his best to make sure she had a great night.

 

"Wow," Namine breathed in awe, her eyes wandering across the large room. Everything was decorated beautifully, and everyone looked terrific in their formal outfits and maks. Namine lifted a hand slightly, fingering her grayish blue mask. It was a little confining, but it added to the mystery, which only made Namine more excited.

Sora looked across the room, seeing a ton of people already dancing and having fun. He scanned the room, trying to find the redhaired girl he loved. He figured it would be easy to spot her, but still, it was so crowded, that he wasn't catching her yet. Or maybe she hadn't even arrived. After all, it was still close to 6:30. He wouldn't have been surprised to find out that the girls were running a little late.

 

Kairi's smile grew a little when Namine spoke, the blonde thinking the exact same thing she was. This place was really decorated for the occasion, which made it that much better. Kairi tore her eyes away from the decorations to her wardrobe, the girl running her hands lightly over the front of her dark navy blue dress, the necklace Sora gave her around her neck, with simple, matching golden earrings. The girl saw a little of her red hair in view over her shoulder, her hair in loose curls and pinned back on the left side. Her hair stood out against the fabric of her dress, but the light grey mask she was wearing went well. She lifted her head, wondering where the boys were, or even if they were here yet.

Roxas lowered his gaze for a moment, seeing his black tux and black shoes in view against the floor. He fixed a part of his jacket on his tux before looking up again, searching the room for Namine. He wasn't sure what time it was, but he knew she would be here soon, along with Kairi.

 

"All right everyone, time to get on the daaance floor!" A male voice spoke though the speakers, his voice reverberating througout the large room.

Namine looked around, seeing a lot of people suddenly flocking the dance floor. "Come on," the blonde stated with a smile, looking over and Kairi. She had a feeling that the boys were already here, and if they were at least in the same area, then they would have a better chance of finding each other. She brought up a hand, brushing some of her loose blonde girl behind her shoulder. Her bangs were hanging down, and a small ammount of her hair was pulled back in a clip. She had on a light silver necklace, which had a simple diamond center. The necklace went well with her bracelet, which was a simple studded, fake-diamond bracelet. All this looked dazzling, but not nearly as dazzling as her sky blue dress.

Sora stood himself upright, bringing himself off the wall. "Let's get in there," he told Roxas, giving his friend a faint nod and a smile. He was nervous about this, and he could tell Roxas was feeling similar emotions.

 

Kairi smiled at the DJ's voice, and she turned to her friend, nodding at her with the same smile. "Okay," she said over the music. They had a better chance of finding the boys in that section...maybe. With all of the guests approaching the dance floor, she didn't know for sure if it would be easier. But it was worth a shot.

Roxas smiled and nodded. "Right." He pushed himself off the wall, his eyes shifting from his friend to the dance floor, where many people were gathering. He took in a breath through his nose softly and released it, a little nervous.

 

Namine nodded slightly, giving her friend a smile before starting for the dance floor. She brought her hands down slightly, lightly lifting up her dress as she walked.

Sora started toward the dance floor, hearing a new song come on the speakers. The people started to dance again, things looking pretty chaotic out there. He took in one last breath before slipping into the crowd, knowing that it had to be done if he was going to find Kairi.

 

Kairi picked up her dress a tiny bit as she walked toward the dance floor from the entrance, not wanting to trip on her new dress. She took in a breath and then released it as she approached the dance floor, knowing that she was most likely going to get seperated from Namine. But she would probably find Sora quicker that way anyway.

Roxas sucked in a breath and then let it out throw his mouth quickly, calming his nerves as he went into the crowd a few seconds after Sora, squeezing through people as he went on his search for Namine.
