KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

The football? Sora looked down, seeing it by his feet. "Hey!" he cried out playfully, almost forgetting it. He quickly bent down, picking it up and chasing after Roxas.

 

Roxas laughed playfully, picking up his speed as he raced back toward where the girls waited.

 

"Why am I carrying your football?" Sora questioned with a chuckle, the teen picking up his pace. With his increased speed, he started to gain ground on Roxas, catching up despite the blonde's head start.

 

Roxas's chuckling continued, fading away as he got closer to the girls' position not too far away. He knew that Sora was catching up to him without even looking back, hearing the brunet's footsteps and knowing that he was very fast.

 

Sora's chuckle silenced as he kep tup his sprint, only about two feet behind Roxas now. Though he probably couldn't pass the blonde before they reached the girls, he would at least come close.

 

Roxas's eyes caught on to two forms leaning against the tree he and Sora had last left them by. He looked over his shoulder at the boy only a few feet behind him, and he grinned playfully. He looked ahead again, slowing his pace as he approached the girls only about ten feet away.

Kairi had her back against the tree, sitting next to Namine. Her red hair shifted slightly in the faint breeze, her head against Namine's shoulder as her eyelids covered her violet-blue orbs, the girl asleep.

 

Sora caught onto Roxas' grin, returning it with one of his own. He saw two forms leaning against the tree and he smiled faintly, seeing how relaxed the girls appeared to be. He slowed his pace, following Roxas' example as they approached the tree.

Namine sat comfortably next to Kairi, the girl's head turned slightly as it rest on the tree behind her. She felt warmth on her shoulder, and she was awake enough to know that it was Kairi. Namine wasn't asleep, though she was close to it. The cool breeze was probably what was keeping Namine awake, despite the fact that she had her eyes closed and was feeling drained and exhausted.

 

Roxas slowed his pace to a soft walk, a small smile coming across his face at the sight before him. The girls looked exhausted, both appearing asleep.

Kairi took in a silent breath, then releasing it silently through her nose. She had been so tired from all of the action earlier that day and relaxed from the peace-filled moments during the sunset that she had fallen asleep in the park, only moments after the boys left.

 

Sora felt a small smile appear on his lips as he slowed to a walk, two steps behind Roxas. The girls were obviously exhausted from a day of fun if they had been tired enough to fall asleep in the park.

Namine exhaled softly, her eyes staying closed as the breeze stopped blowing. Her bangs stayed still, laying over her closed eyes slightly. The blonde girl didn't move, too tired to really care about how she looked.

 

Roxas slowed his walk as he approached the blonde girl beside the redhead, kneeling down on one knee next to her. He looked up over his shoulder at Sora, a soft smile on his face at the sleepy situation in front of him. The blond boy then turned his head to Namine, his eyes running over her peaceful expression.

Kairi didn't notice the presence of two other teens, the girl too far into her slumber to really notice anything, even her hair close to shrouding her face as she leaned her head against Namine's shoulder.

 

Namine inhaled softly before releasing the breath, the girl unaware of the gaze that rested on her. She shifted positions slightly, crossing one arm overtop of her stomach to try and keep herself warm.

Sora softly returned Roxas' smile before heading over to Kairi, passing Roxas and Namine as he knelt down beside her. She's out like a light, Sora thought to himself, realizing how deep in sleep she was.

 

Roxas brought up his hand and gently swept Namine's blonde bangs out of her closed eyes, his gaze staying on her face. She appeared so tired, and he knew that she would get plenty of rest tonight.

Kairi drew in a deep breath from her position against Namine's left shoulder, the girl deep asleep. She released the breath slowly, shifting a few hair strands in her face slightly.

 

Namine's eyes flickered open at the movement, her tired blue eyes finding Roxas' ocean blues, which were gently gazing at her. A faint smile appeared on her lips, the girl feeling dazed in her groggy state.

Sora smiled softly, bringing up a hand and lightly pulling back Kairi's hair. He tucked it gently behind her ear, his eyes staying on the sleeping girl. I won't wake her, he decided silently. He didn't mind taking care of her, since she was obviously in a heavy state of sleep.

 

Roxas smiled gently at Namine, taking back his hand. He flitted his eyes over to Kairi, seeing that she was in a deep sleep before looking at Sora. "We should go," he whispered quietly, not wanting to wake the redhead.

Kairi took in a breath at the gentle touch, feeling a loving sense behind it. She exhaled softly, not moving in her state of sleep.

 

Namine looked at Roxas for a moment before looking down and to her side slightly, seeing Kairi asleep on her shoulder.

"You mind carrying the football?" Sora asked in a whisper, looking from Kairi to Namine to Roxas. He saw that the blonde girl was awake, so he figured it would be better for Roxas to carry the ball so Sora could carry Kairi.

 

Roxas shook his head in response, reaching out across the girls' forms for his ball.

Kairi breathed evenly in her sleep, unaware of any of the action around her.

 

Sora smiled gratefully, reaching out and setting the football in Roxas' hand. After the blonde teen had the ball, Sora pulled back his hand. He gently slid his arm under Kairi's legs before leaning closer to her, bringing his other arm around her back as he prepared to lift her.

 

Kairi inhaled at the movement, sleepily bringing her head off of Namine's shoulder, a sense of love, care, and protection calling her. She moved her head to the source, sleepily letting it lean against Sora.

Roxas held the ball in his right hand, his eyes watching Kairi for a second before he flitted them to the blonde girl still against the tree.

 

Sora smiled softly at the girl in his arms. Kairi was adorable in such a sleepy state, though Sora thought she was always adorable. He leaned down and plant a light kiss on her forehead before backing away, that faint smile still on his lips. After a moment, he shifted his footing, starting to stand up with Kairi securely in his arms.

Namine exhaled softly, her tired blue eyes falling to the ground. She blinked one time, trying to wake herself up. Even though she hadn't fallen asleep, she was still feeling groggy.

 

Kairi leaned into Sora, burying the side of her face into his shoulder as her arm hung loosely around his neck. Though she was asleep, she could feel his protection and love, comforting her even more and causing her to sleep peacefully.

Roxas smiled slightly at Namine in her groggy state. He held out his left hand for her to take so they could get going, and she could sleep peacefully back at home.
