KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora smiled faintly at Kairi's words. He was starting to feel a little stiff from staying in that one position for so long, so he wouldn't mind stretching. "Okay," he replied softly, gently loosening his grip on Kairi's legs.

Namine felt her feet touch the ground, and she put her weight on them, taking her arms off of Roxas as she stood on her own behind him.

 

Kairi smiled softly, leaning back slightly as she slid her arms back and let her hands rest on Sora's shoulders. She looked down as she felt Sora's grip loosen, her legs unwrapping from his waist and her feet touching the ground again.

Roxas brought his arms forward, standing up straight. He turned around halfway, his head turning as he saw Namine in the faint light.

 

Sora gently let his hands move, barely gripping Kairi's legs as he felt her start to put weight on her own two feet.

Namine smiled softly when she saw half of Roxas' face, that side lit partly by the park lights.

 

Kairi's feet finally touched the grass, her hands staying on Sora's shoulders for a second before she brought them back to her sides.

Roxas could see one side of Namine's face because of one of the lights nearby, seeing a bit of her smile and the happiness in her eye that was visible. This caused a smile to form on his lips as well, the boy glad to see her so content.

 

Sora turned around halfway when he was sure Kairi was standing on her own, his bright blue eyes finding her quickly even in the faint lighting.

Namine leaned forward slightly, giving Roxas a light peck on the cheek before returning to her previous position. The soft smile stayed on her lips as she gazed at him.

 

Kairi looked up, immediately noticing Sora's bright blue eyes. She smiled, her pearly whites showing slightly behind her lips.

Roxas's smile spread at the gesture, revealing his teeth a little. He brought up his hand, using his fingertips to gently brush Namine's wind-blown bangs out of her eyes.

 

Sora's soft smile widened at the sight of Kairi's, the teen seeing happiness and peace in her eyes.

Namine softly released a breath, feeling very relaxed as Roxas' fingers ran over her forehead.

 

Roxas gently moved Namine's bangs out of her eyes, letting his hand fall to her cheek, the boy cupping it in his hand. He then leaned forward, kissing Namine's forehead on a small part he had cleared while he had swept her bangs out of her eyes.

 

Namine's eyes flickered shut when she felt Roxas' lips against her forehead, making the blonde girl feel very at peace. She leaned slightly into Roxas' hand, feeling comfort and warmth from the gentle touch.

 

Roxas pulled back slowly, looking down at the girl. He smiled softly at the peaceful expression she held, his hand still cupping her cheek.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, feeling Roxas' light gaze on her face. And even with her eyes closed, she knew that there was a soft smile on his lips. She opened her eyes, a faint smile appearing on her lips as her suspicions proved to be true.

 

The corners of Roxas's mouth turned up a little more at Namine's small smile. He let his thumb gently stroke her cheek for a brief moment before he let his hand fall to her upper arm.

Kairi looked into Sora's eyes for a moment before something caught her attention from out of the corner of her eye. She looked up and over slightly, her violet-blue eyes finding the moon barely in the sky, getting ready to light up the night.

 

Namine let her eyes fall, the girl silently looking down at Roxas' hand on her arm. She felt warmth at the touch, partly because it was Roxas who was touching her and because the night air had made her a little cold.

Sora saw Kairi's eyes move, and he followed her gaze, turning slightly and noticing the moon in the sky.

 

Roxas followed Namine's gaze, his eyes following his thumb as he gently rubbed Namine's skin that wasn't hidden underneath the short sleeve of her t-shirt.

Kairi blinked once, noticing a few stars in the sky. "It's getting late," she said softly.

 

Namine looked over at her friend, hearing her soft spoken words. Kairi was right; it was getting late.

Sora nodded slightly at Kairi's words, and then he remembered something. "Roxas, where's your football?" he asked his best friend, turning to face the blonde boy.

 

Roxas's stroking motion stopped at the question, the boy turning his head to look at Sora. Then he looked ahead, past Namine, and out at the part of the park they had raced across. "Um...over there somewhere," he answered, nodding in the direction with his head. "I'll probably have to go find it."

Kairi lowered her gaze to her friends nearby, her eyes falling on Roxas while he spoke.

 

"You want some help?" Sora asked Roxas, wondering if he should come with or wait with the girls here. It was pretty dark, and he wasn't sure if he was comfortable leaving them alone. So he figured that maybe having Roxas run and get it by himself would work out better. But if Roxas did want help, he would go with.

Namine looked from Sora to Roxas, waiting for her boyfriend to give a response of some kind.

 

Roxas shrugged. "If you want to help, you can," he said. He didn't mind either way. He had an idea of what area it was in, so he didn't think it would be that hard to find.

Kairi let her eyes shift from one boy to another when they spoke, her eyes now on Roxas. She then flitted them over to Sora, waiting for his answer.

 

Sora shrugged slightly in response. "I guess I'll come with; it'll probably go quicker that way." A small grin formed on his face, knowing how Roxas couldn't find what was right in front of him a lot of times.

 

Roxas nodded, catching Sora's grin. He smiled slightly in response, though he didn't know why it was there. He let his hand slip away from Namine's arm and he turned his gaze to her. "Be right back," he promised before he started forward, walking past her.
