KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora smiled softly, blinking one time as he watched the colors in the sky start to change. The lovely colors of orange and pink started to fade, being replaced by a gentle blueish color. The sun may have been disapearing, but their memories of today would last forever.

Namine exhaled softly, slowly releasing the breath. The wind had faded. The breeze hadn't chilled Namine at all, the girl too warm inside to notice a little bit of cold. The warmth and joy in her heart made her feel happy, and she again caught herself wishing this moment wouldn't end. She knew that it did have to end soon, but that wasn't important. What was important was that she enjoyed it while it last.

 

Kairi tore her eyes away from the sunset for a short moment, noticing that the number of people in the park had decreased recently. Now all that remained were couples, just like her and Sora...and Roxas and Namine. She discovered that the four of them weren't the only ones watching the sunset, her violet-blue eyes scanning over a few of the other couples who were either hand in hand or embracing each other as they looked up at the sky. The moment in general was so beautiful, not only the scenery. Kairi didn't want any of it to end.

Roxas felt Namine's breath tickle the side of his face, which caused his smile to grow faintly. His eyes stayed on the setting sun, only seeing some of its orange glow as the sky changed from the orange and pink colors to a soft blue.

 

Another soft breeze began to blow, making Sora's faint smile increase in width a little bit. His brown bangs shifted slightly with the wind, moving over his forehead and into his eyes slightly. He let his eyes flicker shut in relaxation, a peaceful aura surrounding him and his friends.

Namine kept her arms around Roxas gently, though her embrace tightened ever so slightly when another gust of air hit her. She had to admit, now that the sun was hidden and the wind was starting to pick up, it was getting a little cool out. But she didn't mind; not as long as she was with Roxas, and her other friends as well. The warm happy feeling inside wouldn't disapear that easily, and definitly not because of something as insignificant as the wind.

 

Kairi let her head turn slightly toward Sora's when the wind blew again, the side of her forehead now leaning against his brown spikes. She got goosebumps slightly, the sun's warm rays no longer present like earlier, when they had kept her warm when the gentle breeze brushed over her skin. Even if it was slightly chilly with the wind, it didn't mean she wanted to leave this moment behind. And of course, she would never leave it; this moment...this day...had a place in her heart.

Roxas gripped Namine's legs a little tighter in response to feeling her slightly tighten her embrace. He blinked once when a small amount of wind brushed his bangs into his eyes again, but then swept them away from his blue orbs.

 

Once the wind had stopped, Sora let his eyes flicker open again, the teen only seeing a faint layer of pink in the sky now. The rest was blue, and above them, was the dark night sky. He noticed a few stars, but the rest were hidden because of the city lights surrounding the park. Still, whether it was the star light or city lights, the scene was beautiful.

Namine's bangs hung in her eyes slightly, but the blonde girl made no move to correct that. She was too comfortable the way she was, feeling Roxas hold her closely and securely. The atmosphere around her was very comfortable, and she knew it wasn't only caused by the setting sun or beautiful scenery. Roxas also added to that aura greatly, making Namine feel very at peace. Being here without him would be very different, and it wouldn't have been nearly as nice as it was now.

 

Kairi let her eyes close in relaxation, keeping her forehead slightly against the side of Sora's spiky head of hair. She inhaled a breath and then exhaled silently, enjoying this moment of peace while it was still among them.

Roxas noticed the lights trailing along the sidewalk trail in the park turn on out of the corner of his eye, the sun growing more and more out of view from where he stood with the girl he loved on his back. He wondered when they should get going, knowing that it got colder during the night.

 

Sora noticed lights turn on nearby, the pathway lights flickering on in order. He looked around the park, seeing the remaining people starting to exit the park. That was probably a wise idea, since it was getting darker quickly and the temperature was dropping.

Namine lightly set her head on Roxas' shoulder, her eyes closing in comfort. Just a few more moments...

 

Kairi took in a soft breath in the silence. "I don't want to leave," she declared softly. "This is too perfect." And it was in her eyes; they had all watched the sunset together, the day had been great overall, and--most of all--Kairi was with Sora. She didn't want any part of today to end, especially not this one.

Roxas felt himself smile faintly at Kairi's words. He agreed, but he knew that every single one of them would carry this moment in their hearts. There were many more moments like this one to come in their lives, and Roxas was excited to discover them.

 

Namine smiled softly in agreement, turning her eyes toward her friend slightly. "I agree," she stated quietly. This moment was very peaceful and perfect in her eyes.

Sora smiled faintly at the girls' statements, understanding what they were feeling. But unfortunatly, the moment did have to end. "Even if we leave, this moment will stay in our hearts," he told Kairi softly, as well as his other friends. Even if they weren't there physically, the memory would stay with them forever. It was good enough.

 

Kairi smiled softly at Sora's words, taking them to heart. She believed him, and knew he was right. This memory would always be with her. To reach the same happiness she felt now, all she had to do was look back.

Roxas turned his head to look at Sora and nodded once with a small smile. That was exactly what he had been thinking, and he agreed one hundred percent.

 

"It doesn't matter where we are, or who we're with," Sora continued, keeping his gaze in front of him as he spoke. "This moment will stay with us no matter what." He looked toward his friends, seeing Roxas and Namine watching him "Right?"

Namine's faint smile grew at the words, the girl agreeing with them completely. Memories came back because of feelings, and as long as she remembered this feeling, that was good enough. "Right."

 

Kairi opened her eyes and took her head off of Sora's, her eyes adjusting to the darkness that hadn't been there when she closed her eyes. She smiled a little more, agreeing with Sora completely.

Roxas smiled with a nod. "Of course," he agreed softly.

 

Sora looked over at Kairi when he felt her move, his eyes falling on her. He turned his head slightly, planting a light kiss on her cheek before going back to his previous position.

Namine smiled faintly at Roxas' words, her eyes flitting over to him now. It was a little harder to see him in the dark now, but at least the lights of the park made things visible enough.

 

Kairi's smile grew at Sora's gesture, the girl's violet-blue orbs meeting his bright blue. His eyes were visible even in the slight darkness.

Roxas shifted slightly, adjusting Namine so she was closer to him and he had a better grip on her. He couldn't see her face, but as long as he held her close, he knew she was secure and protected.

 

Sora smiled when he saw Kairi's eyes, her soft violet-blue orbs visible in the faint lighting.

Namine noticed Roxas' movements, and it was at that moment that she remembered how long he had been holding her. "You can set me down if you want," Namine told him gently.

 

Kairi's smile grew slightly at the sight of Sora's, his white teeth seen from the faint illumination provided by a nearby light.

Roxas turned his head, looking over his shoulder. "Do you want me to put you down?" he asked, a smile growing on his face. Even if it couldn't be seen, the tone of his voice was showing that he was wearing a smile.

 

Sora's smile widened at Kairi, the teen noticing how content she looked. He loved seeing her so at peace, no matter what the circumstances were. Peace was always a good thing.

Namine smiled, faintly seeing his smile. She didn't need it to understand his tone of voice, though. "You know I don't," Namine stated softly, speaking honestly. "But you've been holding me for a while; I don't mind if you want to put me down for a while." Asking him to hold her would be selfish, and she could never act that way with him.

 

Kairi leaned forward slightly, letting her lips touch Sora's forehead for a second before she pulled back.

Roxas's smile stayed in place. "Alright," he answered, loosening his hold on her legs slightly. He understood where Namine was coming from.

 

Sora's smile softened at Kairi's kind gesture, his bright blue eyes staying locked with her orbs.

Namine let her grip on Roxas loosen even more, the girl feeling him start to set her down.

 

Kairi's eyes met Sora's again, and she smiled softly at him as she spoke. "You can set me down too, if you want to." She had heard Namine and Roxas's conversation a few seconds ago, and she thought that she should inform Sora as well.

Roxas loosened his grip even more on Namine's legs, the girl eligible to move them when she was ready.
