KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora smirked when he heard Kairi's cry, the teen immediatly pressing forward at a fast rate. He ran toward the tree, holding Kairi securely as he did.

 

As soon as Kairi finished, Roxas took off running toward his destination, all the while keeping Namine close to him securely.

 

Sora picked up his speed after a few steps, running even more quickly because of he got into a good rythmn.

 

Roxas caught Sora picking up his pace, and so he increased his a little too. He had to admit though, Sora was really fast.

 

Sora kept his eyes on the tree, not turning around to see if Roxas was close behind him. Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see that Roxas wasn't by his side, so that was definitly a good thing for him.

 

Roxas ran at the same pace, seeing the tree up just ahead. It wasn't that far, so Roxas increased his speed even more, running as fast as his feet could carry him.

Kairi watched the tree approach quickly while she was on Sora's back. She didn't realize how fast Sora was until now, actually travelling at the same speed as him.

 

As he approached the tree, Sora ran even more quickly, tightening his grip on Kairi's legs as he did. Almost there...

Namine held onto Roxas tightly, the girl glancing from the tree back to Sora, who was running a little bit in front of them. She couldn't believe how fast the brunette was, even with Kairi on his back.

 

Kairi tightened her hold around Sora's neck a little, noticing his own grasp tighten a little and his speed pick up. He was so fast, even with her added weight.

Roxas ran as fast as he could, seeing Sora up ahead of him a little bit as the tree came even closer. They were only a few yards away from the finish line now, and because of Sora's increasing speed, Roxas knew that he was going to lose this one.

 

Namine kept her arms wrapped around Roxas, the blonde girl smiling slightly with the realization that they were going to lose the race.

"Ha!" Sora cried as he ran past the tree, finishing the race in front of Roxas. Once he was past, he gradually slowed his pace, still holding Kairi tightly.

 

Kairi's lips formed a smile once Sora finished, hearing Roxas's footsteps pass the tree a second or two after.

Roxas started slowing down his speed once he passed the tree, the boy keeping his hold tight on Namine. Even if he and Namine did lose, it was still fun, nonetheless.

 

Sora stopped himself, panting now that he was finished with his hard run. A content smile formed on his lips as he shut his eyes, inhaling deeply before releasing the breath.

Namine smiled, her grip around Roxas loosening slightly when she felt him slowing down. Even if they didn't win, it was still fun.

 

Roxas came to a stop slightly behind the other couple, his breaths coming out in pants from all of the hard running he just did. He looked at Sora, a look of slight surprise on his face. "Geez, you're fast," he said in between breaths.

Kairi let out a few soft chuckles at Roxas's words, her eyes on him as she loosened her hold around Sora slightly now that they had stopped. Sora was really fast, and it kind of surprised her at how fast he had been going.

 

Namine smiled at Roxas' words, those having been her thoughts as well. Sora was very fast; that was one advantage he had over Roxas. Still, it was just a friendly race, so it didn't matter.

Sora grinned slightly. "What'd you expected?" Sora stated with a chuckle, his breathing still heavy from his run.

 

Roxas laughed softly, though it ended quickly; he was still breathing pretty hard, having run as fast as he could to keep up with Sora.

Kairi looked at the other couple with a warm smile on her face. "Good job, guys," she said kindly, not wanting them to take the loss too hard. But she knew that they weren't, that was apparent on their expressions. Still, Roxas had kept up pretty well there for a while.

 

Namine gave Kairi a friendly nod, a smile still on her lips. "You too," she stated. "It was a lot of fun."

"You kept up pretty well, Roxas," Sora said between breathes, the brunette turning slightly to face the two blondes.

 

Kairi's smile widened slightly and she nodded before turning her attention to the boys when Sora spoke.

Roxas looked up at Sora, a smile appearing on his lips. "Heh, I'm surprised I even kept up for that long," he admitted, his words coming out between breaths. His breathing wasn't as hard anymore, the boy's heart rate starting to go down.

 

Namine lowered one hand slightly, letting it sit lightly on Roxas' chest.

Sora smiled at his friend, taking in the statement. He shook his head slightly in disagreement. "You're faster than you think," Sora stated honestly.

 

Roxas smiled, his breathing calming even more with Namine's hand on his chest. "Thanks," he said, but then he smirked. "But I'm not as fast as you, Speed Demon."

Kairi giggled lightly at Roxas's words, her arms loosening around Sora's neck even more.

 

Namine laughed softly at Roxas' joke, her soft smile widening.

Sora grinned sheepishly at Roxas' compliment, a soft chuckle leaving his lips. "Thanks."

 

Roxas chuckled a little. "Anytime," he said, grinning.

Kairi looked down at Sora, tilting her head slightly so she could see a little of his face. Her smile spread slightly at her friend's chuckles.
