KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

"You see that tree over there? The really tall one?" Sora asked, his questions adressed to Roxas even though he wasn't looking at his friend. He kept his gaze locked on the tree, figuring Roxas would follow his line of sight and see what he meant.

 

Roxas turned his head, following Sora's gaze. His eyes fell on the tall tree not that far off. "Finish line?" he asked, turning his gaze to Sora.

 

"That's what I was thinking," Sora responded with a faint nod, keeping his eyes on the tree for a moment before turning around and facing Roxas.

 

"Works for me," Roxas said, his lips forming a playful smirk. He was ready to do this.

 

"Okay." Sora responded to Roxas with that one simple word, a playful smirk appearing on his lips as well.

 

Roxas looked at Sora for a moment before turning his attention the blonde standing next to him, his hand still in hers. "Namine, you ready?" he asked, his smirk turning into a smile as he looked at her.

 

"You bet," Namine replied with a smile, the blonde girl gazing into Roxas' ocean-blue orbs.

Sora turned when Roxas turned away, the teen facing the redhead beside him. "Kai?" he asked, wanting to know if she was ready. The smirk softened slightly as he gazed at her, a loving grin replacing it.

 

Roxas's smile grew at Namine's confidence. He nodded at her before turning around, bending down slightly for her to get on his back. Then they could start this thing.

Kairi nodded once with a smile. "Let's do it," she said as she looked into Sora's piercing blue eyes.

 

Namine smiled before taking a step behind Roxas, wrapping her arms around his neck from behind.

Sora nodded slightly in response, smiling widedly. He bent down slightly and patiently wait for Kairi.

 

Roxas put his hands back behind him to grab and hold Namine's legs when she was on all the way.

Kairi's grin softened, and she took a step behind Sora before reaching up and putting her hands on his shoulders. She then jumped slightly, getting on Sora's back and wrapping her arms around his neck.

 

Namine jumped up slightly, knowing that Roxas was prepared for the move.

Sora grabbed onto Kairi's legs once she was on his back, the teen having no trouble holding her light weight. He shifted a little bit, getting a better grip on Kairi as he stood himself upright.

 

Roxas's readied hands found Namine's legs when she was on his back, the boy holding her securely to him as he straightened up a bit. Roxas knew that because Namine was so light and that he had no trouble holding her, they had a good chance at winning this.

Kairi felt herself smile, getting the feeling of being a kid again from being on Sora's back.

 

Namine smiled softly when she felt Roxas grab her legs, the girl feeling safe with him holding her securely.

With Kairi on his back, Sora took a few steps over toward Namine and Roxas, mentally preparing himself for a race. He turned around when he was side-by-side with the blondes, now facing in the same direction they were.

 

Roxas turned his head toward the couple now beside him, a grin plastered on his face as he held Namine on his back.

Kairi turned her head to the side as Sora stood side-by-side with the other couple, her eyes fallin on Roxas and then Namine.

 

"Who's gonna start it?" Sora asked, turning his head toward the blond couple beside him. They needed somebody to count down before they started, and he figured one of the girls should do it.

Namine turned her head toward Kairi. "You want to?" she asked her friend. She wouldn't mind doing it, but if Kairi wanted to, that was fine.

 

"Sure," Kairi said with a smile. She flitted her eyes from Namine to Roxas, who was looking up at her. She felt a playful smile come across her face as she looked ahead. "I'll count down from three," she stated. "Three..."

Roxas turned his gaze to Sora, a playful smirk on his face as he looked at the brunet with a competitive look in his eyes.

 

Namine smiled, tightening her hold on Roxas slightly. She turned her gaze toward Sora, who was grinning back at Roxas.

Sora eyed Roxas competively, a smirk on his lips. After a moment, he turned forward, his gaze staying on the tree that was their endpoint.

 

"Two..." Kairi counted down again, tightening her hold slightly around Sora.

Roxas turned his head, his eyes focusing on the finish line. He held Namine's legs a little more securely around him as he prepared to run.

 

Sora set his footing, gripping Kairi's legs a little more tightly as he prepared to charge forward.

Namine turned her gaze forward, seeing everyone else do the same. This is going to be so fun, she thought in amusement, the thought running through her head again from earlier.

 

His footing ready to sprint forward, Roxas waited for Kairi to finish the countdown.

Kairi's smile grew as she finished the countdown. "...One. Go!" she cried.
