KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine smiled excitedly, keeping her hands in Roxas' even when she was fully upright. This is going to be so fun, she thought happily, her eyes staying locked with Roxas'.

Sora stood himself upright, holding onto Kairi's hand tightly in case she needed any help getting up.

 

Roxas grinned as he gazed into Namine's eyes for a moment, then flitting his eyes over to his friends.

Kairi started standing up, using Sora's hand still wrapped tightly around hers for support as she stood upright.

 

Namine smiled before turning around slightly, seeing her two friends close to her.

Sora smiled widely at Kairi, the playful smile still on his lips as he gazed down at her.

 

Roxas, still holding both of Namine's hands in his, looked at his two friends. "You guys ready?" he asked, his smile still on his face.

Kairi smiled at Sora's grin, giggling slightly as she turned her head to look at Roxas. She nodded with a happy smile.

 

"I'm always ready for a challenge," Sora said with a grin, glaring competitively at his best friend.

Namine giggled at the boys' playfulness, the blonde girl feeling excited for this to actually happen. Even if it was a random, crazy idea, she was sure it was going to be fun.

 

Roxas's grin turned into a smirk at Sora's words, the boy's piercing blue eyes looking back at the one's identical to his.

Kairi giggled slightly, her eyes on Sora's face before going to Roxas's. She knew this was going to be interesting.

 

Namine chuckled softly in happiness, hearing Kairi reacting the same way.

"...So the real question is this: Are you ready to lose, Roxas?" Sora asked with a grin, his playful and competitive spirit easily heard in his voice.

Roxas felt his smirk turn into a grin. "Are you kidding? No way!" he said in response, his playfulness coming off through his voice and expression. "Namine and I are totally gonna beat you guys!"

Kairi felt her smile spread into a small grin on her face. This wasn't only going to be fun, but also competitive. Very competitive, but in good nature.

Namine's smile widened at Roxas' words, the girl hearing the excitement and playfulness behind them.

"Those are pretty strong words, Roxas," Sora said with a smirk. "Let's see if you can actually follow through on them."

 

Roxas grinned. He wasn't really worried; it wasn't friendly-play after all, so if he did lose, it was all in good fun. The boy turned slightly, letting one of his hands release Namine's. "Let's find out," he said with a smile.

 

"Yes; let's." Sora's smirk stayed on his lips as he gently squeezed Kairi's hand. Then he gently slipped his hand out of hers, the brunette still glaring playfully at Roxas.

 

Roxas let his grin turn into a playful smirk, turning and starting to walk to an open area where the race could take place, still holding Namine's hand in his.

Kairi felt her smile widen slightly at the boys' competitive sides.

 

Namine smiled and walked by Roxas' side, her excited light blue eyes staying up on him.

Sora followed Roxas with his eyes before gently setting his hand on Kairi's upper back, starting to lead her in the direction Roxas was heading.

 

Roxas turned his head slightly, feeling a soft gaze on him as he walked. His eyes fell on Namine's, and the boy squeezed her hand gently. He smiled at her, offering her a wink.

Kairi turned her head to look at Sora as she started walking, her smile still on her face. She then turned her head forward, her eyes finding Roxas and Namine's forms ahead of her.

 

Namine's smile grew at the wink, a soft laugh leaving her lips as well as she gazed up at Roxas.

Sora kept his hand on Kairi's back as they walked, the teen looking at her for a brief moment before looking in front of him again, seeing Namine and Roxas in plain view.

 

Roxas's smile grew at Namine's laughter, a few chuckles leaving him as well. He turned his head, shifting his gaze to an open spot only a few yards away.

Kairi's smile softened slightly as she gazed at the couple in front of her, hearing their joyful giggles. She knew they would still be laughing after the race, though, since it was all in good fun. But she had a feeling that her and Sora would win...probably because Sora was so fast.

 

Namine's smile stayed on her face, the girl delighted to hear Roxas' chuckle. His happiness was contagious.

Sora smiled, keeping an eye on his friends. He saw Roxas' head turned slightly, toward an open area. The brunette figured that they would probably start there. But now they had to discuss and find a place to call the finish as well.

 

Roxas slowed his pace as he reached the area he had his eyes on, knowing this was the place to start the race.

Kairi noticed Roxas and Namine slow slightly, the girl knowing then that they were in their starting point for the race. She turned her head slightly, trying to see if there was a place to end it.

 

Once they slowed down, Namine turned slightly, seeing Sora and Kairi coming toward the area and stopping close by.

After stopping by Namine and Roxas, Sora turned around, looking for a good endpoint. He noticed a tall tree a little ways off, and he silently wondered if that would make a good endpoint.

 

When Roxas stopped, he looked around for a good stopping point. They had a starting point, and now they needed the finish line.

Kairi took in a breath through her nose, looking at the blonde couple in front of her for a moment before turning her eyes to Sora next to her.
