KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas exhaled silently as he thought over the next 3 weeks. He would have to get used to doing things without causing more pain on his leg. Of course, he couldn't ask Namine to stay here for days on end, he would never ask her to do that. Like he realized before, she had a life to live; she couldn't be cooped up in here with him. Roxas wouldn't want her to be.

 

No, eventually Namine would have to face this. She couldn't hide forever. And that thought terrified her.

 

Roxas relaxed into his seat in the couch, taking in a quiet breath. Everything would be all right, as long as he allowed them to be.

 

Namine stared off into space, lost in her thoughts.

 

Roxas could feel himself dozing off, but he didn't care. He was too comfortable to move, and too relaxed.

 

Namine blinked. The silence welcomed sleep, but she wouldn't allow herself to go back to sleep. She just wouldn't.

 

Roxas could feel sleep drawing him in, but he had to say something before leaving conciousness. "Namine," he started, his voice showing his tiredness. "If I wake up and you're not here, I'll understand. I don't expect you to stay here with me every hour of the day, so it's okay." His words were slow, his exhaustion showing even more.

 

Namine snapped out of her daze and looked over at Roxas, momentarilly confused by his words. But when they finally set in, she simply looked upward and plant a light kiss on Roxas' cheek.

 

A faint smile came across Roxas' lips, and he fell asleep.

 

Namine pulled back and let her head rest against the back of the couch as she stared off into space. She understood what Roxas had said, but she wasn't ready to leave just yet. She'd face reality another day.

 

Roxas' breathing became even as unconciousness took over.

 

Namine sat in that spot for a while, fighting off drowsiness as she listened to Roxas' even breathing.

 

Roxas' face was calm as he slept, entering his dreams.

 

Namine bit her lip, her eyes already feeling heavy. She made a quiet sound of disgust and forced herself to her feet. She couldn't let herself sleep.

 

Roxas inhaled a quiet breath, his chest rising and then falling as he released the air from his lungs.

The past few hours had dragged by so slowly for Namine, but at least she had forced herself to stay awake. She ended up going into the kitchen and baking Roxas' favorite cookies so he'd have something to snack on. But after she was done with the baking and clean up, she was stuck without something to do. She sighed softly, walking into the living room. It was later in the day, and the sun was shining brightly through the window, welcoming her. The girl silently walked across the living room floor and sat herself down in the sunlight, letting it warm her skin.

 

OOC: I was hoping you'd say that. xD

Roxas sighed softly in his sleep, his head turned so his chin was just above his shoulder.

Namine sighed and let the sun comfort her, warming her body and heart. She blinked once and then let her eyes stay closed.

 

Roxas started to wake up, shifting slightly in his sleep. But he winced when pain shot through his leg, now fully awake, just keeping his eyes closed as the pain passed. He must have moved his leg too fast for its liking.

 

Namine folded her legs and kept her hands on the carpet as she let her head lower an inch, the sun having a very soothing effect.
