KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora turned his head when he felt a soft gaze on him, his eyes meeting Kairi's. His smile grew at hers, the teen happy to see her smile.

Namine gazed at their hands for a moment before lifting her eyes, letting them wander across the park.

 

Kairi's smile grew slightly when Sora's eyes met hers, tightening her hold on his hand a little. She then closed her eyes in comfort and relaxation, feeling protected as well with her knight in shining armor by her side.

Roxas turned his head slightly, noticing a familiar couple not too far away. They seemed comfortable, meaning they had occupied themselves while the game of tag had been put on hold for a little while.

 

Sora held Kairi's hand a little more tightly, his eyes staying on her despite the fact that she wasn't looking at him.

Namine took in everything around her, feeling oddly childish. Holding Roxas' hand, just letting her eyes wander to everything...she did feel as if she weren't acting her age. It was this child-like faith she had in Roxas that caused the feeling; she trusted him to never let her down. And she knew that this trust was justified, since Roxas had never let her down before.

 

Kairi took in a deep breath of the fresh air, her head turned to the side slightly, facing Sora. Her smile faded a little as she relaxed, but didn't disappear completely. She released her breath slowly, enjoying the peace and love filled moment.

Roxas squeezed Namine's hand gently as he turned his head to look at her. "Hey. Look," he said softly. After a second he turned his head in the direction of Sora and Kairi.

 

Sora smiled at Kairi's relaxed expression, the teen loving to see her so at peace. He started to run his thumb lightly over Kairi's hand, his eyes staying on her face as he performed the gentle gesture.

Namine followed Roxas' gaze, a soft smile appearing on her lips when she spotted her two friends relaxing on the ground.

 

Kairi's smile remained on her lips, the girl feeling the love from Sora's gesture. Her eyes stayed closed as she felt his soft gaze on her face, knowing there was no want or need behind it.

Roxas's lips formed a small smile, glad to see his friends so relaxed and happy.

 

Sora let his eyes flicker shut, the boy releasing a soft breath in relaxation.

They're so cute together, Namine thought to herself, the small smile staying on her face as she gazed at her friends. It was obvious that they enjoyed each other's presence, even if they didn't say thing.

 

Kairi let the sun warm the side of her face turned up to the sky, that slight heat making her rest next to Sora just a little more comfortable.

Roxas turned his head back to Namine, a small smile on his lips. "C'mon," he said softly. He then started walking again, this time leading Namine toward their friends.

 

Sora's chest rose with the breath he took in, and then fell when he slowly released it. The sun shining down on him felt great, reminding him of his days back on the beach growing up.

Namine nodded softly in response, her gentle smile staying on her lips as she started walking toward her friends.

 

While Kairi relaxed in the grass next to Sora, she could still hear the laughter of the children in the park, and the barking of a dog, as well as birds chirping as they flew by. The sounds relaxed her, reminding her of childhood innocence.

 

Sora slowly let his thumb become still, stopping the gentle stroking on Kairi's hand. He kept his eyes shut in comfort.

 

Kairi sighed softly, comfortable where she was.

Roxas held Namine's hand securely as he started to approach his two friends, only a few feet from them now.

 

Namine looked down at the two, smiling faintly when they made no move to recognize her or Roxas. They were probably so relaxed, that they didn't hear the two blondes approaching them.

 

Roxas bit his lip to stifle a small chuckle, walking over a little to the empty area next to the teens. He was a little tired from standing for so long, and lying down for a few minutes would help him get that playful energy back.

 

Namine's soft smile grew at Roxas' chuckle, the blonde girl squeezing Roxas' hand at the sound. She let Roxas lead her to an open area, a spot next to Sora and Kairi where they could rest and relax.

 

Roxas turned his head slightly as he passed the two teenagers, his eyes on them for a second. He stopped in an open spot next to them, giving Namine's hand a gentle squeeze before letting it leave his. He lowered himself to the ground, leaving a spot open between him and Kairi for Namine to sit down.

 

Namine looked down behind her, seeing that there was enough room for her to be there. She slowly lowered herself to the ground, sitting with her knees up slightly as she gazed in front of her.

 

Roxas sat cross-legged on the grass, seeing Namine sit down next to him out of the corner of his eye. He took in a breath and then released it silently, his eyes looking out at the water in the lake that sparkled in the sunlight a ways ahead of them.

 

Namine exhaled softly, leaning forward and letting her chin rest on her knees. She gazed at the landscape in front of her, seeing the lake water shimmering in the afternoon sunlight.

 

Roxas let his hands rest against his calves, blinking softly once. He closed his eyes when the wind gently blew by, the boy feeling comforted by that part of nature.
