KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

"Okay," Roxas said softly. As long as she was sure she was all right, that's all that mattered.

 

Namine bit her lip and gazed down at the ground, trying to chase away the nasty memories.

 

Roxas continued to stare at the Christmas tree, a million thoughts rolling through his mind. He couldn't even focus on one.

 

Namine shift slightly in Roxas' arms, feeling a little bit stiff.

 

Roxas let go of her. "You don't have to sit here with me, you know. You can make yourself at home, if you like."

 

Namine smiled softly at Roxas after she had pulled away a little bit, shaking her head slightly. "No, I'm comfortable right here." She leaned her head lightly against his shoulder.

 

Roxas smiled softly down at her and then turned his attention forward. He looked down at his leg, biting his lip. How long did he have to have this thing on anyway?

 

Namine looked up at Roxas and saw what he was gazing at. She gently laid one hand on his arm and stroked it with his thumb. "While you were getting changed, I got a few more tidbits of info about your cast." She state, turning her eyes to his leg. "You're supposed to go in for an X-ray in three weeks, and the hospital provided some bags for you to wear over your cast when you shower."

OOC: Be back in a few minutes.

 

"Three weeks, huh?" Roxas brought up his hand to the back of his head and rubbed it uncertainly while she rubbed his arm. That was a while, but he knew he'd have to endure it.

OOC: All right.

 

Namine nodded into his shoulder. "And you're supposed to take one pill every 7-8 hours." She told him, remembering that she had left the plastic bag by the door.

 

Roxas nodded once in understanding. He lowered his hand to his lap and smiled slightly. "Got it."

 

Namine stopped stroking his arm and gently let her hand rest on one place, her eyes shutting for a moment.

 

Roxas flitted his eyes from her to his cast again. 3 weeks of taking medicine every 7 to 8 hours with a bag around his leg as he showered; he'd endure it, since he had to. That didn't mean it was going to be fun, because, of course, it wasn't. He'd try to make the best out of it, though, just so he didn't make himself miserable by lying around all day.

 

Namine let her head rest against Roxas' upper arm, a soft breath leaving her lips.

 

Roxas lowered his head and kissed the top of hers. Even through the duration of 3 weeks, he knew he'd make it with Namine at his side for support. He pulled back. Anyone that had support could make it through anything.

 

Namine smiled softly at Roxas' gentle kiss.

 

Roxas leaned his head against the couch, keeping his chin down as he kept his eyes on his cast, staring blankly at it for a while.

 

Namine softly inhaled and exhaled, still a little shaken up from her dream. Roxas may have provided comfort for now, but who said that she wouldn't have that dream again as soon as she fell asleep tonight? Who said it wouldn't be worse? That thought terrified her, and she instinctively moved a little closer to Roxas.

 

Roxas closed his eyes when she scooted closer, and he felt more comfortable with her so close.

 

Ugh, what was she thinking?! Hadn't she just thought through this? Roxas wouldn't be able to protect her forever, and yet she still wanted the comfort. She bit her lip. Of course he could help her through this, but he couldn't protect her from the pain...could he?
