Sora gently pulled himself away, his soft gaze staying on Kairi. His smile widened slightly at hers, and he slowly lowered his hand, bringing it off of Kairi's cheek and onto her shoulder.

 

Kairi opened her eyes when the boy pulled away, bringing up her left hand and lightly putting it on Sora's arm that was near her shoulder. She smiled softly at the smile on Sora's face and the look in his ocean-blue eyes.

 

Sora blinked one time, his smile staying on his lips at Kairi's loving gaze and her soft touch.

 

Without thought, Kairi let her hand leave Sora's arm, her eyes staying locked with his for a second. Her arms then gently wrapped around his form, the girl pulling herself closer to him in the silence.

 

Sora looked down at the girl, his eyes widening slightly in surprise and happiness. His right hand moved and sat on Kairi's upper back as he brought around his other arm, holding the girl close to him.

 

Kairi let the side of her face rest against Sora's chest as she looked up at the boy's face for a moment, his chin right next to her head. She exhaled, lowering her gaze to the wall within her sight as she kept her arms around Sora, feeling comfortable and safe in his arms.

 

Sora smiled softly at the girl, holding her lighlty in his arms. He suddenly had an idea...an idea that would probably make Kairi giggle. And he would do anything to hear her giggle, since he loved hearing her express happiness in that way. Yes, he get her to laugh with this simple gesture.

 

Kairi inhaled softly through her nose, catching a little of Sora's scent. He smelled like the ocean, naturally, and it always brought a small smile to her lips like it did now.

 

Sora smiled down at Kairi for a moment before making his move. Wrapping his right arm more tightly around her back, he leaned down slightly, suddenly bringing his left arm under Kairi's legs and sweeping her off the floor and holding her securely in his arms, a playful smile appearing on his lips.

 

A short squeal came from Kairi's lips at the sudden movement, her eyes widening slightly when she found herself being held in Sora's arms. Her eyes immediately traveled to Sora's face, seeing the playful grin on his lips. She giggled slightly, a little surprised but also amused by his expression. "Sora, what are you doing?" she asked, a small smile but slightly confused expression on her face.

 

"What?" Sora asked innocently, his bright blue eyes shining brightly as he looked down at Kairi. He may have sounded innocent, but he couldn't hide the smirk that had started to appear on his lips.

 

Kairi smiled slightly before giving him a slightly suspicious expression. "Why'd you pick me up?" she asked a little slower, curiosity in her voice. Her eyes were on Sora, noticing the smirk that was coming across his face.

 

Sora smiled down at her, tightening his hold slightly. "I can't hold the girl I love?" He questioned, his smirk softening a tiny bit at the question. He understood that she was curious, but he couldn't say why he did it himself. He just had a feeling that he wanted to hold Kairi closer and try to get her to laugh...somehow.

 

Kairi's smile widened a little at Sora's words, the girl's eyes softening and her cheeks turning a little pink. She giggled a little, bringing up her arm to wrap around Sora's neck. She didn't object.

 

Sora smiled down at her, his playful smiling softening when he felt her hand rest lightly on the side of his neck. The touch gave him chills, sending a pang of happiness through him.

 

Kairi kept her eyes locked with Sora's bright orbs, seeing the love and care in their depths. She didn't know what suddenly brought this on, but she didn't have a problem with it; she was comfortable in his arms, being held close to him.

 

Sora kept his ocean-blue orbs on Kairi, gazing at her lovingly. He could tell that she was putting her questions behind her and simply enjoying the moment. He was glad for that; he didn't want her to be confused.

 

Kairi blinked softly, her eyes staying on Sora's. She moved her fingers slowly, fingering Sora's brown spikes near his neck.

 

Sora exhaled softly through his nose, his eyes flitting shut briefly at the comfort of the moment. After that moment, they flickered back open, his bright blue orbs finding Kairi again.

 

Kairi's smile grew a little at the soft expression on Sora's face, her gently stroking of his spikes continuing.. She then leaned her head up a little, gently connecting her lips with his.
