KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Love; that was exactly what was getting him through everything. Things had been so rough at first, both of them feeling very shaken up from everything that had happened. The nightmares that Sora had were rough, and he had woken up screaming one time, bolting upright in bed as well. And then...then he had started to cry, releasing his stress-filled with tears. Moments later, Kairi had come into his bedroom to make sure he was alright. He couldn't speak, crying too hard at the horrible memories that had haunted his sleep. Kairi's soft blue eyes had spoken to him more than any words that she could have said, and before he realized what was happening, Kairi had wrapped her arms around him, sitting slightly behind him on the bed. She had silently craddled his head, rocking him gently as he released his frustrated tears. And then she had started to cry with him, her tears falling and landing on his spikey hair. It wasn't the most pleasant memory Sora had with her, but it was very comforting all the same.

 

Kairi thought about who exactly had wanted all of the Princesses of Heart, the girl knowing that Sora had defeated everyone in search of them. This person must have been very new, for they didn't know just how strong Sora was. He had protected her and saved her from the hands of Carter and his partner Smith, acting as her knight in shining armor that he was in her heart. But sometimes...not everyone can stay as strong as they wish too. Kairi remembered one night when she had been in the guest bedroom and heard Sora scream. She had gone to his room to make sure he was all right, only to find him in tears. Once she started trying to soothe him by holding him in her arms and trying to get him to calm his tears, she had started shedding some of her own. Kairi had had a feeling about what had haunted him so badly, and the thought of it then had caused her to react the same.

 

That night had been the worst of it all, the lowest point of everything. Sora had been too down to even get out one word and try to comfort Kairi. His sorrow, his fear and grief, it had all impacted him with that one horrific nightmare, making his emotions go crazy. And everything came out in the form of sobbing, all while Kairi was there holding him. The one feeling of comfort was what made him feel as if things would be alright again...someday. He hadn't been sure when, but as long as he and Kairi had each other, things would work out. And now, about a week since that night, that feeling was still in his heart, only stronger. Some sadness came with the thoughts and memories, but he and Kairi both were starting to move forward, thankfully.

 

Kairi let out a breath through her mouth, not wanting to think about the sad memories. Even if they had been rough, they had made Sora and Kairi stronger. And after releasing all of that anger, sorrow, and hurt, they had been able to move forward, even if it was pretty slowly. Kairi just hoped they didn't have another moment like that soon. As much as the redhead loved having her arms around Sora, in that kind of situation, it wasn't the best.

 

Sora pushed away the negative thoughts, knowing that it was an event of the past now. Reflecting on that sorrow and sadness didn't do him any good, or Kairi any good. Taking care of her is what he had focused on during the past week, and he had shoved his own emotions away for the most part. That was the way it needed to be, though. Kairi was the love of his life, and her feelings and security came first.

 

Kairi gently let her fingers trail down to the heart of the necklace, running over it lightly with her fingertips as she turned a corner and saw Sora's house up ahead. This whole experience had brought them closer, and that's what Kairi wanted. She loved Sora with everything she had and then some. He mattered most to her, more than anyone else.

 

Sora blinked twice, his eyes refocusing on the television, even though his thoughts continued to have nothing to do with the basketball game. I love Kairi, and she's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Even though we weren't always together as a couple, I think it was fate that we became who we are today. Even if the pain getting here was extreme and hurtful, I suppose the end justifies the pain it took to get us here. Sora inhaled softly and then released it, his thoughts starting up again. We're completely different people now, but in a good way, in a lot of cases. Our love has matured greatly, along with our emotions. Change is necessary sometimes, and I guess you don't always have to view change as a bad thing.

 

Kairi crossed one arm over her jacket, letting her elbow rest against her arm as she continued to hold her necklace with her fingers. She looked down at it as she headed straight, getting closer to Sora's and ignoring the people that passed her. They didn't matter to her; the person in the house up ahead did, more than anything.

 

Sora leaned back into the couch, exhaling softly and letting his eyes flicker shut. The thoughts weren't negative anymore, but they were very serious. He had been thinking deeply far too much lately.

OOC: I gotta go for the night, bye!

 

Kairi flitted her bright eyes up, finding the house ahead that held the boy she loved within. She let her fingers slowly leave her necklace, crossing her arms as the gentle breeze blew her bangs out of her eyes and her hair behind her shoulders as she walked.

OOC: Okay. See you later!

 

Sora set his hands on his legs, his shoulders drooping slightly in relaxation. The aura around him was calm and peaceful; two emotions that he hadn't started feeling again until a day or two ago. Things were returning back to normal. Even if it wasn't quite the same as before, it was very close. He was thankful for that. Each day was a gift, and he didn't want to waste his time worrying about things he couldn't change.

 

Kairi passed another stranger as she got closer to Sora's house, glancing up at him. She immediately recognized the sunglasses, and her eyes grew slightly wide as she looked away. It wasn't him, she knew that for sure, but that man had the same sunglasses. Kairi closed her eyes in relief when the man continued past her, as if she was never even there. The girl picked up her pace a little, walking a little faster so she could be with Sora sooner.

 

Sora softly exhaled through his nose, letting his body sink into the couch. Kairi had been coming over every day since the incident, so he was expecting her sometime today as well. He didn't know when exactly she would come, but whenever she did arrive, Sora knew that he would relax more. After everything that happened, he was very shaken up...though not as much anymore. Those first few days he had been very protective over her, and he still was. But he was giving her space, since that was what she wanted...at least, that was the impression he got.

 

Kairi opened her eyes after a few seconds, practically knowing the way to Sora's house by heart. She inhaled the fresh air as the gentle breeze blew her hair behind her shoulders slightly. The whole mishap a week ago was over; those guys were never coming back for her; Kairi was free to be with Sora again. The girl kept her arms crossed over her black light jacket, looking both ways on the street. She then jogged at a light pace across the street, glancing at the street again as she passed.

 

Sora kept his eyes shut, but moved his arms, crossing them lightly over his chest. He shifted his position slightly, lowering his head a tiny bit. Some of his spikes came down in his eyes, but he didn't really care, since he was just relaxing by himself for a little while.

 

Kairi walked down the sidewalk when she reached the other side of the street, her violet-blue eyes finding Sora's house. A faint smile came to her lips, knowing the boy was inside. She uncrossed her arms as she grew closer, biting her lip for a second as she lowered her gaze to her sneakers.

 

Sora inhaled softly, and then released the breath as a sigh. He had to admit...he was pretty bored now. But he didn't really feel like going out either, for more reasons than one.

 

Kairi fiddled with her fingers as she approached the path to Sora's home, walking along it and lifting her head to see his front door. In a few steps, she reached the door, stopping and lifting a finger to the doorbell.

 

Sora perked up at the sound of a ring, knowing that it was the doorbell. A small smile started to appear on his lips, the teen knowing exactly who it was. Kairi. He pushed himself off the couch, walking through the living room and then entering the entrance room. I really do need to get her a house key, Sora mused to himself, approaching the door.

 

Kairi subconsiously bit her lip as she waited, turning a little to watch a car pass by, also seeing a blond couple walk along the sidewalk. The two happened to remind the redhead of Roxas and Namine, the girl not seeing them ever since that unfortunate night. She was sure they were all right, though, since they had each other. Roxas and Namine were like her and Sora in a way, but different.
