KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas felt his heart break and he instinctively wrapped his arms around Namine gently, holding her close as she slept.

 

Namine felt arms wrap around her, but she thought that they were just the memory from that dream. But after a moment, she knew that it wasn't. Whatever it was, it was starting to pull her out of her nightmare.

 

Roxas cupped her head in his hand, his fingers against her blonde hair. He rubbed her shoulder gently with his other hand, looking down at her face. She had tear-stained cheeks and an expression that saddened him.

 

Namine let out a shaky breath, blinking her eyes before letting them shut again as she came out of her nightmare.

 

Roxas let his hand leave her head to brush her bangs out of her eyes. What she must've dreamed about, it must've been horrible to cause her to cry like this.

 

Namine opened her eyes and looked up at Roxas, another tear sliding down her cheek.

 

Roxas met her gaze with softened eyes of sadness. Namine's eyes reflected his, but with more emotion, pain and hurt. He wiped the tear from her cheek softly, his eyes staying on hers.

 

More tears filled Namine's eyes, and she shut them to try and keep them inside. She bit down on her lip and tried as hard as she could not to sob, but she couldn't do it. She took in a ragged breath, the tears sliding down her already wet cheeks.

 

"Namine..." Roxas instantly pulled her closer, closing his eyes in sadness at her sobs. He didn't know what was wrong, but the best thing he could do was comfort her.

 

Namine leaned her head into Roxas chest, one arm reaching up for his shoulder as the sobs shook her body, an endless flow of tears running down her cheeks.

 

Roxas lowered his head so it was next to hers. "It's okay," he whispered as one of his hands went down the length of her hair in a comforting gesture.

 

Namine's sob started to soften as her tears ran dry. She sniffled and burried her head deeper into Roxas' chest, her body starting to become less tense.

 

Roxas held her close to him, feeling protective over her. He didn't want her to ever cry, and it made him want to rid her of fear and sadness forever. He didn't know if he could do it, but he sure would try.

 

Namine let go of her grasp on Roxas' shoulder as she let her hand fall back to her side. She turned her head and gazed out at the living room, her eyes no longer leaking tears.

 

Roxas kept his eyes down on her in concern. He loosened his grip on her a little, but still held her close.

 

Namine sighed and shut her eyes again, feeling comfort from Roxas' gentle embrace.

 

Roxas looked up from her and stared at the tree in the corner of the room. He was relieved she had calmed down, and that she was relaxed now.

OOC: I'm going to eat dinner. Be back soon.

 

Namine's breathing became more even as she relaxed in Roxas' arms, the pain of her memories starting to fade away.

OOC: Okay.

 

"Are you okay?" Roxas asked, blinking from staring.

 

Namine nodded softly, her eyes opening up again. "Just a nightmare," she whispered. "I'll be fine."
