KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas' lips formed a soft smile at the sight of Namine's. "Good morning," he whispered gently, his eyes on hers.

 

"Good morning," Namine whispered in response, her soft smile staying on her lips as she gazed up at Roxas.

 

Roxas couldn't help but let his smile grow a little as he looked down at the girl in his arms. He could see by the look in her eyes that she was truly at peace again, no longer worried or troubled. And it made him happy to notice that.

 

Namine continued to smile softly at Roxas, seeing som relief and happiness in his ocean-blue orbs. He appeared much better today than he had yesterday, and she was thankful for that. She never wanted to see Roxas upset. Because of their strong love, his pain was her pain, and her pain was his. She understood that everything that happened yesterday was needed though. Nonetheless, she was grateful that they had finished their serious discussion. Hopefully they could move on now.

 

Roxas kept his arm around Namine's form, his hold still secure and protective. "How'd you sleep?" he asked gently, his small smile still on his face.

 

"Good," Namine answered softly, completely honest. She remembered part way through the night when she had thought she was starting a nightmare, but it had suddenly vanished. And then, right after that, she had suddenly felt a warm presence surrounding her.Was that when I snuggled closer to Roxas? Was that when he wrapped his arm around me like he is now? It would surprise her if those were both true, the girl knowing how secure she felt in Roxas' embrace right now.

 

Roxas nodded slightly. "That's good to hear," he replied. Actually, that was great to hear; that meant that she had been at ease last night, and that was relieving to Roxas.

 

"How about you?" Namine asked Roxas, pulling herself away from her thoughts as she gazed up at the blonde boy.

 

Roxas flashed a small grin. "Like a baby," he admitted gently. He couldn't remember having any bad dreams or anything...The sleep was just...peaceful.

 

Namine's smile widened at his response, her teeth showing slightly at his grin. "That's good," she said softly.

 

Roxas nodded. "Yup. I must have been really comfortable," he said, his grin fading into a small smile as he gave Namine a small wink after he spoke.

 

Namine's smile softened at Roxas' statement, and then grew again when she saw his wink. He was acting much more relaxed today; she had only been awake a few minutes, and that was very obvious. The words he spoke were also uplifting, making Namine's heart feel warmth. "Me too," she said, feeling the same way as Roxas. She knew that it was his presence alone that had kept her from having any nightmares, and she was very thankful for that.

 

Roxas' smile grew faintly at Namine's response. He was relieved to hear the bit of happiness in her voice. It meant that their discussion yesterday did them good, and it helped solve everything that had been bothering them. Now he knew that talking and communicating was the best way to go, other than resorting to violence, especially with someone you love.

 

"I didn't have any nightmares," Namine stated quietly, keeping her eyes locked with Roxas'. "I'm sure it's because you were holding me. It comforted me."

 

"I'm happy to hear that," Roxas said truthfully. "That's what guardian angels do--protect you from the worst and keep you secure." He smiled as he looked into Namine's eyes, remembering what she had called him last night.

 

Namine smiled at response, remembering the statement she had spoken to Roxas last night; the one about her glad that he was her guardian angel. She had meant it then, and she definitly felt the same way now. "You're a great guardian angel," she said, her quiet voice souding confident in that belief.

 

Roxas felt his hold on Namine tightening slightly, holding her closer without thought. He gazed into her light blue eyes with his own piercing blue, feeling love behind those words. He smiled, the smile reaching his eyes along with gratitude; hearing her say that meant a lot to Roxas. "It's what I'm here for," he replied softly.

 

Namine smiled at Roxas' response, keeping her eyes locked with his. She wasn't sure if he purposely held her closer or if it was just subconcious, but either way, she didn't mind. She loved being close to him, especially when the mood was light like it was now.

 

Roxas leaned forward slightly, closing his eyes as his lips met Namine's forehead. He loved moments like this; they made him feel great. But every moment he spent with Namine made him feel great anyway.

 

Namine shut her eyes in comfort, feeling Roxas' loving kiss. It was a simple gesture, but she recognized the love and care that came from it.
