KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas forced his eyes open at the voice, recognizing its soft tone immediately. The pain still rang out in his side, barely fading, but he knew that he had to try and suck it up. Even if it was easier said than done, by a lot.

 

Namine turned her head slightly as she moved her hand off of Roxas' shoulder, lifting it and brushing away some of Roxas' wet bangs. That was hard to do, though, since they were soaked and sticking to his forehead. He must be freezing... she thought to herself, her hand coming back down to her side after the gesture was complete.

 

Roxas lowered his gaze to the floor at the gesture, keeping it there once it was done. His eyes found the constant drops of water falling from his clothes and skin. It was pouring outside, and the wind was still coming through the door behind him, causing him to shiver and wrap his arm tighter around him. The pain was still in his side, but Namine's gentle touched seemed to soothe it some. Roxas felt another gust of wind, his teeth barely starting to chatter again. He needed to shut the door.

 

Namine felt her heart break, seeing Roxas in such bad shape. She felt another cool gust of wind blow in and she wanted to shiver herself because of the coolness of it. Her eyes fell to the door behind Roxas, and she saw that he still had a hand on the handle. She was curious about why he hadn't closed it, but she stayed silent, knowing now wasn't the time for questions. She lightly put a hand on Roxas' arm, walking forward a few steps to close the door.

 

Roxas took in a light breath, the pain in his side starting to go away finally. He couldn't breathe in too deeply, or else it would ring out in sharp pain again. Now he knew how Namine felt after her own injury; getting kicked hurt. Badly. When Namine put her hand on his arm, Roxas gently slid his hand off the doorknob, being careful because his hand was injured.

 

Namine took another step forward, taking her hand off of Roxas' arms and using both hands to close the door. Once it was shut, she immediatly felt a difference in the room, the wind completely gone. She exhaled softly, her eyes flitting to the floor before going back up to Roxas.

 

Roxas tried flexing his hand as he stared down at it, but tensed when pain suddenly shot through his knuckles. He let his hand curl into a loose fist, free from the pain that would surely occur if he flexed his fingers. He must have been really mad to cause that much pain to himself, and to Brian.

 

Namine gazed at Roxas a moment longer, though he wasn't looking at her. "I'll go get you some dry clothes," she said softly, her eyes moving down to the floor as she walked past Roxas. It seemed as if he were in pain, and it broke her heart to see that. She didn't know what to do about that, but she could at least get him some dry clothing. That would help...hopefully.

 

Roxas lifted his gaze to the blonde as she passed him, and he immediately let his eyes fall to his shoes. Just when things had started to get better...this had to happen. And because of him. Brian had wanted to hurt Roxas because of what he did to Jeff, and Namine had dealt with some of that frustration from Brian earlier, before the fight began. Had Roxas set Brian straight by fighting him?

 

Namine turned out of the entrance hall and into the hallway, seeing the staircase in front of her. She approached it and set one hand on the railing before starting up. Unforunatly, she couldn't go too quickly, since her stomach had started to bother her again since the start of the excitement. The blond girl slowly released a breath, watching her feet as she went up to the second floor.

 

The pain in his side faint now, Roxas slowly let go of the grip on his right side, standing up straighter. He brought his left hand to the zipper, biting down to keep his teeth from chattering. He pulled on the cold, wet metal, unzipping his jacket. Hopefully getting it off would take away the weight and coldness.

 

Namine turned once she was at the top of the stairs, taking a few steps before entering Roxas' room. Her eyes immediatly caught onto his dresser and she headed over there, wanting to get Roxas dry clothes as quickly as she could.

 

Roxas started shrugging off the soaked jacket, being careful with his injuries. He slid his right arm slowly out of the sleeve, being sure not to uncurl his hand. He lifted the jacket with his left hand and hung it up on the empty coat hanger. He'd move it later, but he couldn't right now.

 

Namine grabbed Roxas the clothes he needed before heading out of the room, going toward the stairs so she could deliver the clothing to Roxas.

 

Roxas put his hand against the wall, leaning on it for support as he start slipping off his shoes. Gosh, he was a mess. He didn't even want to know what his face looked like. The expression could have been just as messed up as he felt at the moment.

 

Namine held Roxas' clothes close to her in one hand as she went down the stairs, her other hand on the railing. Once she was down, she walked through the hallway and back into the entrance room. Her eyes flitted over to Roxas, noticing his movements. She was positive that her eyes still shone with the concern that she felt.

 

Roxas kept his teeth clamped together so they didn't chatter, slipping off one of his shoes before he started taking off the other. He felt goosebumps on his arms, but he ignored them, focusing on getting his soaked shoe off. He didn't look up at the blonde that entered the room, but felt her presence.

 

Namine flitted her gaze to the floor for a moment, not sure if Roxas knew that she was with him. Well, he would find out soon enough. The blonde girl took a few steps forward, now holding the clothing in both hands as she approached Roxas.

 

Roxas leaned back on both feet again once he slipped the other shoe off, but felt very uncomfortable. It wasn't just his clothes or the pain he was feeling at the moment, but the aura in the room. Deep emotions were in the air, but he couldn't place them. He looked up at Namine when he saw her coming out of the corner of his eye, spotting clothes in her hands.

 

Namine slowed her walk when she approached Roxas, halting completely when she was right in front of him. She silently held out the clothes in her hands, not breaking through the silence. The aura was very tense...but in a different way than she had ever felt before. It was unexplainable, really. But whatever she felt around them, she knew that it wasn't good. In fact, it seemed pretty bad.
