KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas' eyebrows were furrowed over his piercing blue eyes as he held his glare with Brian. After injuring Namine back at the alley, and just after touching her when he shouldn't have, Roxas was positive that Brian was going to get it. And the outcome definitely wasn't going to be good.

 

Brian clenched his one hand in a fist, continuing to hold Roxas' stare. This fight would finally settle things; he was a better fighter than Jeff, and now he was sure Roxas was going to suffer.

Jeff stood still, glaring at Brian even though his brother wasn't looking at him. Did he not see how strong Roxas was back at the alley? There was no way he could win in a fight against Roxas.

Namine flitted her eyes from Brian back to Roxas, worry as well as fear in her eyes. If he got hurt...

 

Roxas felt the tension in the room, challenging and extreme. As he held the glare between him and Brian, Roxas heard a loud rumble of thunder outside, the light sprinkling of rain on the window. He knew that Brian wasn't going to back down because of a little rain, and Roxas definitely wasn't going to either. The blond watched as Brian came closer to him, farther from Namine near the wall. Roxas tore his eyes from Brian's dark blue, finding Namine's sky blue orbs.

 

Namine's eyes moved toward the window at the sound of thunder, the rumble making her jump slightly. She was still on edge from everything that had happened just a few moments ago...and what was still happening. She was afriad of how things would turn out, but at the same time, she had faith in Roxas, knowing he was strong enough to win this fight. But she didn't want him to fight; she just wanted him to hold her in his arms and never let go. However, she knew that wasn't an option at the moment. Brian demanded a fight, and he was definitly going to get it.

 

Roxas' expression softened as he looked at Namine. It was obvious that she was uncomfortable, whether it was fear and panic or sadness. He wanted to let her know that everything was all right, but he didn't know how at the moment, with her being over ten feet away from him.

 

"Let's go," Brian's demanding voice broke through the silence as he stood a few feet in front of Roxas.

Namine's sight shifted at the noise, seeing Brian challenging Roxas. She knew how much of a mistake that was, Roxas being very protective and willing to fight over her. The blond girl bit down on her lip, suddenly aware of how she always seemed attracted to danger and Roxas had to always bail her out. She didn't like it; not one bit.

 

Roxas blinked, his eyebrows furrowing over his angry blue eyes as he shifted his gaze to the jock in front of him. He didn't give a response, only turning around and going out of the room, passing Jeff as he did. If Brian wanted a fight, he was going to get a full out brawl.

 

Jeff's gaze followed Roxas as he watched the teen walk by, then he looked at Brian. "Hold up," Jeff said, stopping Brian when he was by his side. He suddenly reached into Brian's hand and took the knife, holding it in his hand. "You said a fair fight; no knives."

Brian growled in response, his eyebrows furrowing at his brother. Other than that, he stayed silent, heading in the direction Roxas went.

Namine shakily released a breath, her eyes staying on the doorway through which Roxas had disapeared, and Brian too. She really didn't like how things were playing out, but at least Brian didn't have his knife anymore. She didn't know exactly why Jeff was helping, but she wasn't going to question it now, rather having him on Roxas' side than against him.

 

Roxas glanced over his shoulder at Jeff's words, his face still showing anger and hate. He had to admit, he appreciated Jeff's help, but that didn't make up for what he had done a few days ago. Not at all. Roxas turned his gaze back in front of him, stepping out the door and walking into the slightly heavier rain. He felt the raindrops fall onto his form lightly, but when he looked up for a second, he knew it was going to get worse.

 

Brian silently followed Roxas out into the rain, paying no mind to it. It hadn't been raining when he had arrived, and he wasn't expecting things to escalate like this. He figured he would sneak into Roxas' house and just beat up the punk there, not in a formal fight outside. Stupid Jeff; if he had just stayed out of things, everything would have gone as planned. He let out a heavy breath through his nose, anger running through him.

 

Roxas walked off the path to his house and into his yard, stopping in the middle of it, the grass went under his shoes. He turned around, his piercing blue eyes standing out in the gloomy area. He glared with hatred at Brian, despising him to an equivalent of Smith, which was bad. Very bad. Especially for Brian's sake.

 

Brian followed Roxas into the yard, stopping about three feet in front of the blond teen. He could see the hatred burning in Roxas' eyes, but he wasn't turning back now; no way.

"I really am sorry for how Brian's acting," Jeff broke through the silence, the teen starting toward Namine.

When she saw Jeff coming towards her, Namine raised a hand, motioning for him to stop. Jeff wisely obeyed, staying in that spot. "Jeff, this doesn't change a thing. Don't think that you can get close to me just because you decided to do something right for once."

 

Roxas' eyes pierced right through Brian's form as the jock stood in front of him. Even if he was a jock, he was still the same height as Roxas, a little more built. But that didn't change a thing. Nothing. "You made a huge mistake that day in the alley, Brian. Hurting Namine was one of the worst things you could have done," Roxas told him, having to holler over the rain and thunder.

 

Brian stood there in the falling rain, hearing Roxas' words as he clenched his fists. "I could care less about your little girlfriend," Brian stated with a sound of disgust, pushing that topic away.

"You helped out here and I'm grateful for that, but now it's time for you to leave." Namine kept her voice strong as she glared at Jeff, not sure if being so bold was a great idea. Jeff probably still held a grudge against her for last week, and if she made him too angry...

Jeff slid the knife into his backpocket, raising his hands to show he meant no harm. "I understand." He left it at that, not elaborating on the topic. Though Roxas was outside, he knew that he would be in trouble if he even made Namine uncomfortable. That was one mistake he wasn't going to make. The teen turned around and started to leave.

 

Roxas clenched his fists. "You should," he declared. "Not only are you in trouble for what you did to her that day, but if you think you can put a knife to her throat without dealing with me, you thought wrong!" Roxas gritted his teeth together, blinking at the rain that fell in his eyes. "And because of that, you're going to be sorry! You're not getting away with it. Any of it!"

 

Brian's eyebrows furrowed at the declaration, his glare staying on Roxas. True, he hadn't planned on pulling out the knife and threatening Namine like that, but he didn't regret it. She was being a brat, and she was the reason why his brother had his black eye. "She's really not worth that much," Brian spoke loudly through the falling rain, the words leaving his mouth in anger.

"Wait," Namine said from her position against the wall, speaking to Jeff. She saw the teen turn around in the doorway and she spoke to him again. "Head out through the door in the kitchen; I doubt you want to get in the middle of any fighting."

Jeff gave Namine a very faint nod before heading out of the living room and toward the kitchen, starting to leave the home.

 

Roxas' eyes widened at Brian's words, catching him off guard. His piercing blue eyes narrowed immediately after a second of surprise, practically staring daggers at the person in front of him. "You're wrong," Roxas corrected over the rain, which seemed to fall harder now. "Namine is the most important person in my life. And her protection is just as important! You and Jeff's stupid decision is what got Jeff his black eye. So don't take that frustration out on Namine!" He leaned forward slightly, holldering over the rain with his fists at his side. "And now you're going to get worse!"

 

"Oh, what was that Roxas? I couldn't hear you." Brian mocked Roxas with his words, pretending to completely ignorant. In reality, he had heard every word, but he really didn't care about any of them. So what if Jeff had started this whole thing with Namine; it was Brian's battle now. It was a battle he would surely win.

 

Roxas growled slightly, but it was blocked out by a roar of thunder. "Was that...Was that supposed to be a joke?!" he cried over the rain. "''Cause I'm not laughing!" Roxas suddenly ran forward, his adrenaline allowing him to carry his legs faster, Brian's form quickly growing closer.

 

Brian smirked slightly, quickly bringing up his fists to defend himself. Roxas obviously had a temper, and it was amusing for Brian to see him so enraged.
