KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas felt the sprinkling rain fall on his skin, but he ignored it, racing toward his home as it came closer with every step he took. The closer he got to his house, the closer he got to Namine, and to protecting her.

 

Jeff silently followed after Roxas, ignoring the rain that fell ontop of him.

Namine whimpered softly when she felt Brian push down harder on her shoulder, bringing her more pain. She was hardly aware of the pain, though, the knife at her neck being her main focus. She had no way of getting out of there, so she was completely at Brian's mercy.

 

Roxas ran across the street, barely missing a car as he sprinted toward his house not that many yards ahead of him. If he did anything to her, I swear...

 

Jeff hesitated when it came to crossing the street, seeing a car barely miss Roxas. He waited for a moment and then charged across the street after him, lagging behind Roxas more now.

"Where's your boyfriend when you need him?" Brian mocked, his eyebrows furrowed in anger as he tightened the grip on Namine's shoulder. He kept the knife to her neck, right in front of her.

Namine kept her panicked eyes on Brian, tons of thoughts running through her mind. He's not here because he was going to take care of me, you creep! And when he comes here, you'll finally realize that you made a huge mistake challenging him and threatening me. So just leave me alone! Those thoughts stayed in her head, the blond girl not daring to speak them aloud.

 

Roxas' held pure determination as he almost reached his house, running as fast as he could down the sidewalk. He cut through his yard, slipping a little from the already wet grass from the rain still falling down on him, getting his clothes wetter the longer he stayed out there.

 

Jeff picked up his pace, though he still had a hard time catching up to Roxas. He didn't know much about Roxas, but it was obvious that the teen was more fit than he originally thought.

Namine felt her heart racing inside her chest with the fear she felt, her wide blue eyes staring at the dark blue orbs in front of her. She bit her lip when she saw the anger in his eyes, afraid that he was really going to hurt her...badly.

 

Roxas reached his door, his adrenaline making him push it open harder than he intended. The door slammed against the wall as he ran in. "Namine!" he called. Roxas stopped, looking to his left into the kitchen, not seeing anyone in there. He then ran a little further, running through the doorway to the living room. He skidded to a halt, his eyes widening at the scene before him.

 

Namine's eyes widened at the sound of her name, seeing Roxas standing in the doorway. By the look of things, he had somehow known that she was in trouble. Her eyes caught onto movement behind him, and she saw another blond teen standing a few steps behind him. Jeff...? Namine felt herself tense up even more at the sight of the teen, not exactly having fond memories of him.

Jeff stood behind Roxas, his eyes glued to the boy with the knife.

Brian turned his head around at the shout, seeing Roxas standing in the doorway. And...Jeff? Great; the last thing he needed was for his brother to be there too.

 

Roxas tensed, his eyes angry as he located the knife at Namine's throat. His blue eyes immediately found Brian's, the memories flooding back to him. All of this pain Namine had, it was because of him. He was going to pay, Roxas would be sure of that.

 

Brian stood still and returned Roxas' glare, seeing the anger in the teen's blue eyes. That didn't bother him, though. He felt as if his anger were much greater.

Namine kept her eyes on Roxas, the girl tense because of the knife at her throat. She swallowed hard, feeling very afraid.

"Brian, what're you doing?" Jeff demanded, breaking through the tense silence. He still couldn't believe his brother would do something so stupid, but then again, Brian hadn't been the same lately, and it was probably because he was planning some stupid stunt. This stupid stunt.

"What does it look like I'm doing, Jeff?" Brian responded with a question of his own, his voice harsh.

 

Roxas exhaled, his breathing heavy from his run there. His eyes traveled to Namine, connecting with her gaze. Fear and panic were the biggest emotions in her eyes, he could tell. And he knew it was probably because two of her least favorite people in the world were here, though one was trying to sort things out, here to help. "Whatever you're doing, there's no reason to take it out on Namine," Roxas said, his eyes going back to Brian.

 

"He's right, Brian. Just let her go. You're already being stupid; don't be completely idiotic and make Roxas angrier." Jeff elaborated on Roxas' statement, his eyes staying on his brother.

Namine's eyes floated back to Jeff for a moment, surprised to hear the teen helping out. She didn't know exactly what was going on, but she figured that Jeff had a better chance of talking some sense into Brian than she or Roxas did.

Brian growled softly, staying silent otherwise.

OOC: Gotta eat dinner, be right back.

 

Roxas watched Brian tensely, his eyes flitting from the boy to the knife and then to Namine. I'm so sorry... he thought, knowing this was all his fault. He closed his eyes as he exhaled a breath, and then opened them again, his eyes landing on Namine once more.

OOC: Okay.

 

Namine exhaled silently, her eyes moving back down to the knife before she looked back up at Roxas, seeing anger and sadness in his eyes.

Brian turned around and withdrew the knife slightly before looking back over at Roxas, speaking to him for the first time. "I have a score to settle with you."

"Why because of me?" Jeff interveined before Roxas could respond, speaking to Brian. "I can fight my own battles!" He cried out in anger, clenching his fists slightly. "And this is one battle I choose not to fight."

 

Brian's statement didn't surprise the blond. Roxas furrowed his brows a little and turned slightly, looking to his left at Jeff when he spoke. Apparently there was more to this than he thought. Roxas turned his head to look at Brian, seeing the knife a little further away from Namine. He looked at her, desperately wanting to run over to her and hold her in his arms. This couldn't keep happening to her; Roxas was putting her in danger more than he was protecting her from it. First it was Smith...and now this... I'm so, so sorry, Namine...

 

Namine bit her lip lightly, her eyes moving to Brian for moment. His thinking was completely illogical if he thought he could get away with this. He was only making Roxas more angry, and that really wasn't a smart move.

"Brian, you don't want to take it out on her," Jeff warned, his eyes staying on his brother. "You're already going to get pulverized, but I doubt you want to end up in the hospital on life support."

Brian furrowed his eyebrows at the statement, his eyes moving to Jeff and then back to Roxas. "We'll settle it outside; in a fair fight."

 

Roxas moved his eyes to Brian, and they appeared angrier. Jeff was definitely right, his words close to what Roxas felt like doing to Brian. "Let Namine go, and then we'll settle this," he stated sternly, his eyes glaring at Brian and noticing the grip he had on her shoulder.

 

"Fine," Brian said in anger, pulling his knife away from Namine's throat and returning it to his side.

Namine exhaled softly when the knife finally was gone, the girl bringing herself off the wall a little bit. She felt Brian release her shoulder and she felt relieved, finally free of him.

Brian took a step forward, a little bit away from Namine as he glared at Roxas. If the teen decided to do anything to get an advantage at that moment, like trying to beat him up inside, it would be a grave mistake. Brian was still close enough to Namine to hurt her before Roxas could do anything about it. He highly doubt it would be a problem, though; Roxas valued her life too much.

OOC: I gotta go for the night, bye.

 

Roxas flexed his hands slightly, his fingers curling back up into fists. He didn't move, feeling suspicion come from Brian's glare. Roxas held his gaze with a dark stare of his own, keeping still. Once he was sure Brian was far away enough from Namine not to cause her any harm, he would start heading out of the room.

OOC: Aw. =( Okay. See you later.

 

Namine inhaled a breath and moved herself over slightly, taking a step away from Brian. That didn't really matter, though, because she obviously carried no worth to the teen anymore.

Brian silently held Roxas' glare as he took three steps forward, bringing himself further away from Namine. It was time to settle the score; he would be sure to give Roxas a black eye of his own.

Jeff shook his head a tiny bit, not enough for anybody to notice. He knew how strong Roxas was, but it was pretty obvious he couldn't do anything to stop Brian. Brian wanted a fight, and he was definitly going to get it.
