KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas stuck his hands back in his pockets as he turned a corner, looking up and seeing people walking ahead of him to different destinations. His eyes then flew up to the sky, seeing it growing darker at a fast rate.

 

Namine heard the wind blowing outside, sounding as if it were getting stronger. It would probably start to rain soon, so she hoped that Roxas would be home soon.

 

Roxas let his eyes wander, different buildings coming into view as he walked among other people. He glanced up again, his piercing blue eyes finding darker clouds. He picked up his pace, his eyes falling in front of him. His bright blue eyes found a teenage girl's, who stared at him as he passed by. He didn't know why, but he figured it was the brightness of his eyes compared to the dullness of the weather today and the city. Roxas' and Sora's eyes had always caught attention, mainly because of their color. So as Roxas passed the girl, he let his eyes fall downcast, biting his lip as he walked.

 

Namine exhaled slowly, her eyes lowering to the ground when she heard the soft sound of thunder. And then after that, the wind started to blow again. Along with that noise, there was also the light sound of tapping, which Namine assumed was caused by the wind.

 

Roxas lifted his gaze after a moment, his eyes finding the store ahead of him. The wind picked up, blowing his few spikes in view into his eyes a little.

 

Namine bit her lip subconciously, her gaze staying lowered to the floor. The faint noises continued outside, but she wasn't too worried about it, since it was only the wind.

 

Roxas' eyes stayed on the building, falling slightly. His eyes narrowed when he thought he recognized someone, trying to get a better look among the people walking around him.

 

Namine looked over at the window when she thought she saw some movement out of the corner of her eye, but there was nothing there. She exhaled softly, mentally scolding herself for her small amount of nervousness. Of course there's movement outside, it's a city, she told herself, her eyes falling to the floor again.

 

As Roxas grew closer to the store, he started to recognize the blond hair and built figure. The person turned to the side, and Roxas saw bruising on the side of the guy's face. ...Jeff? Roxas thought back to that day almost a week ago, remembering what that jock did to Namine; how he had slapped her, treated her like she were nothing but a lifeless doll. And then the jock who hurt her and was putting her through the pain she was in now...Roxas took his hands out of his pockets as he grew closer to the jock's position, walking a little faster.

 

Jeff casually leaned himself against the side of the store building, his head down slightly as he gazed at the ground. He was waiting for his brother to show up, but he was running late for some reason. Where was Brian...?

Namine started to bite her lip again, though she wasn't sure why. There was just something that didn't quite feel right...A loud noise brought her out of her thoughts, and she heard the front door slam open and then shut again. Roxas? No; that couldn't have been Roxas. Why would he walk in so loudly? Namine flitted her eyes to the doorway between the living room and the entrance hall, waiting for something else to happen. Her eyes widened when she saw the person enter the living room. It was the one who had kicked her a few days ago, with blonde hair almost identical to his brother's. Brian.

 

Roxas walked toward the jock, his hands balled up into loose fists as he recalled what happened. He needed information, and he was sure after what happened with Jeff, that he would give it to him. "Jeff," he called, his tone serious as he walked toward the store, his hood over his head still.

 

Jeff raised his head at the sound of the voice, not immediatly recognizing it. He turned to face direction and saw Roxas coming towards him, surprising him. What did Roxas want? It wasn't like he had asked for any more trouble...

"Hello Namine," Brian stood in the doorway, looking at the girl seriously. "Where's Roxas?"

Namine moved her hands to her side slightly and turned her body so she could see Brian better, surprise still shining in her eyes. "What're you doing here?" She asked him, fright, surprise, and frustration in her voice.

 

Roxas continued toward the boy, his pace not slowing. "I need to talk to you," he said, his tone one of seriousness, not accusation. He wanted some information, and he wanted it now.

 

"Where's Roxas?" Brian asked again, taking a few steps into the living room and coming over towards Namine.

"He's not here," Namine answered honestly, covering the tremble in her voice the best she could. "Why?"

Brian didn't respond, his eyes going toward the open window. He couldn't wait forever, or Jeff would wonder where he was. He was already running late and he hadn't even beat up Roxas yet. Roxas had hurt his brother, shaming him with the black eye. So he had to restore his brother's honor by beating up the punk who gave him that look.

Jeff stood himself upright more, his hands coming out of his pockets and hanging at his sides. He really didn't know what to expect from Roxas, but he definitly didn't want to get hit again.

 

Roxas approached Jeff, stopping two feet in front of him. "Back at the alley a few days ago," he started, his eyes on Jeff's, "who was it that hurt Namine?" His eyes weren't as fierce as they were that day at the alleyway, but the anger was apparent in their depths. Ever since he knew about Namine's condition, he wanted to avenge her pain. "I need to know."

 

Jeff hesitated for a moment, not sure that he wanted to rat out his brother. But then again, Brian hadn't exactly been himself lately; he had changed for the worse. And he was sure that Roxas was going to get an answer out of him anyway. Since he didn't want to get beat up, he just decided to answer the question. "Brian," he said finally, his eyes going to the ground. "Brian, my brother."

"What do you want?" Namine asked again, her voice stern and demanding an answer.

"What do I want?" Brian repeated in a slightly mocking tone, not fond of being bossed around by a tiny little blond girl. "I want revenge for my brother, of course."

 

Roxas' eyes narrowed at Jeff's expression, something apparently wrong here. "Where is he?" Roxas demanded in a strict tone, but not harshly, though he was still mad at Jeff for what he had done...and his brother...His brother was going to see more of Roxas than Jeff did.

 

"I honestly don't know," Jeff said, lifting his head at Roxas' stern voice.

Namine's eyes widened slightly at the response, her eyes staying locked on Brian. "You really don't want to mess with him, Brian. You're making a big mistake."

"No." Brian snapped, his eyes staring daggers at Namine. "No, Roxas made the mistake of beating up Jeff. That's a mistake he'll never make again..."

"Roxas doesn't want to beat up your brother," Namine stated, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. "What's done is done. You should just get out while you can."

"Shut up!" He yelled in anger, taking a step closer to Namine. "I'll do what I want to do, and I don't need some little princess to tell me otherwise."

 

Roxas balled his hands into slightly tighter fists at that news. "Jeff, this isn't a joke! Namine's really hurt, and I need to find this guy," he explained seriously, his eyes narrowed slightly, their piercing blue color glaring at Jeff. "Your brother is going to end up worse than you the longer it takes me to find him," Roxas threatened. If he didn't even know where his brother was, what did that mean?

 

Jeff's eyes widened slightly at Roxas' words, knowing that his brother had just been threatened. "I said I don't know where he is," Jeff said tensly, his hands clenching into light fists by his sides. It wasn't because he was going to take Roxas on, but because he felt frustrated. "He was supposed to meet me here about 15 minutes ago, but he obviously isn't here."

Namine's eyes widened at Brian's words, some anger coming into her eyes as well as fear. She stayed silent for a moment, thinking that it would be better not to speak again.

"When will he be back?" Brian questioned, his eyes staring fiercely at Namine.

Namine shrugged slightly, not saying a word.
