KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas left the room and walked across the hall to the kitchen, turning and traveling down one of the counters toward a cupboard. He opened it up, reaching up for the bottle of medicine he had been giving to Namine. He popped it open and dumped it over, waiting for pills to fall into his hand. But he got nothing, only air. Roxas arched a brow and looked into the bottle; empty. Roxas set the bottle down on the counter, starting out of the kitchen to grab his coat and shoes. He would have to go get some more for her.

 

Namine exhaled softly, her gaze staying in front of her as she waited patiently. There wasn't much of a rush, really. As long as she wasn't moving, she only felt a small amount of discomfort, not really pain. But if she wanted to move around, even a little bit, she'd rather have a little bit of medicine to help with the pain.

 

Roxas scratched the side of his head as he left the room. He passed the living room, heading to the door where he left his shoes and jacket.

 

Namine let her eyes shut for a moment at the peacefulness, feeling calm.

 

Roxas bent over and grabbed his shoes, slipping one on and tying it as silence surrounded him. He grabbed the other, putting it on his foot and then tying it as well. He peaked out the window, seeing the clouds darkening slightly, and that was when he grabbed his jacket off the coat hanger.

 

Namine opened her eyes at a faint sound, hearing something from outside. She lifted her head slightly and looked out the window, seeing dark clouds in the sky. She had just heard a soft rumble of thunder.

 

Roxas walked back into the living room, stopping at the doorway. His eyes fell on Namine, following her gaze to the window. He started putting on his jacket, slipping his arms through the sleeves. "We're all out of medicine, so I'll have to run by the store really quick to grab some." And by the looks of it outside, there would need to be emphasis on "quick".

 

Namine flitted her eyes over to Roxas, hearing his voice from the doorway. The girl nodded slightly before making a statement of her own. "At least the store is close by; you should be able to make it back before it rains." Well, she hoped so, anyway. She didn't want Roxas to get poured on for her sake.

 

"Mmhm," Roxas agreed with a nod, pulling on his jacket and fixing the hood. Namine was right; the store was closeby, so there was no need for him to waste money on cab fare. The blond put his hand to his pocket, making sure he had his wallet with him before he left.

 

Namine kept her light gaze on Roxas, feeling guilty for a brief moment that he was going out of his way to care for her again. But then she pushed that feeling away, knowing that Roxas wouldn't want it any other way.

 

Roxas looked down at his zipper as he connected both ends. "I'll be back soon, okay?" He looked up at Namine as he pulled up the zipper halfway, letting his hand fall back to his side.

 

Namine nodded softly at Roxas, knowing that he would be back before the rain started. "Okay."

OOC: Sorry about the delay, the computer was taken for a little bit. =/

 

Roxas offered Namine a smal smile, waving a little as he left through the doorway. He approached the front door, opening it just in time to hear a faint rumble of thunder. He stepped out, pulling the door shut behind him, not bothering to lock it since he was going to be right back.

OOC: It's alright. I figured something like that happened.

 

Namine smiled softly as her eyes followed Roxas, watching the boy until he disapeared. She heard him close the door behind him after he left, leaving her by herself.

 

Roxas walked down the path leading from his house to the sidewalk. He crossed the street, heading straight. The store was only a few blocks away, so hopefully he would make it back before it rained.

 

Namine exhaled softly, setting one hand down in front of her. She slowly started to push herself into a sitting position, a little uncomfortable from lying down for so long.

 

Roxas put his hands in his pockets of his jacket, the wind blowing a little. He took in a breath, smelling the air. He could tell it was going to rain soon as he looked up at the sky, the clouds darkening and appearing as a threat.

 

Namine finished sitting herself up, feeling some pain in her stomach from the bruising. She shut her eyes and inhaled slowly, trying to get that feeling to go away. It definitly hurt, but at least it wasn't as bad as it had been.

 

Roxas lowered his gaze to his feet, reaching the end of one street and walking along the crosswalk. The wind picked up a little, and he took his hands out of his pockets. He reached behind him, grabbing and pulling up the navy blue hood of his jacket. The hood shrouded every part of his blond spikes but the front few, blocking the wind from his head.

 

Namine gently wrapped her arms around her stomach as she sat on the couch, starting to get a little more comfortable.
