KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas kept his eyes locked with Namine's light blue orbs, noticing the smile she still held on her lips. He was glad she was comfortable staying with him like this. But he was sure he wouldn't want to be alone after something like that if it happened to him. He remembered Namine mentioning something about it, about her keeping him here. She seemed as if she felt bad about it, when she shouldn't have; he loved being with her, and there was no where else he would rather be. Roxas had always been with Namine when she was awake, and when she was asleep too. He remembered how she had fallen asleep on the couch one time, her head on his lap as he lightly rubbed her head to comfort her. Apparently it had worked, because with the combination of the medicine and his stroking, she had fallen asleep within minutes.

 

The past few days had been very peaceful, and Namine was thankful for that. The stress was stronger the first day or two that she had stayed at Roxas' house, still feeling frustrated that she couldn't really take care of herself. She had shared that concern with Roxas as well, since they had a totally honest and open relationship. But he had pushed away her concerns, simply stating that he wanted to take care of her. He had insisted that she wasn't a burden, and Namine believed his kind, loving words.

 

Roxas watched as a few strands of Namine's hair slowly started to fall into her face. He reached up right before they fell, pushing them back gently with his fingers, his eyes following the action. Since Namine's parents were out of town, as well as his own, there had been no one to push away Roxas from taking care of her. And he was glad. He wanted to be the one taking care of her, no one else.

 

Namine's eyes followed the movement, feeling Roxas' gentle touch. Her smile grew slightly at the feel of it, the soft gesture only reminding her how much Roxas cared for her. It was impossible to forget it, though; Roxas was gentle and loving in everything he did with her. Every once in a while, they verbally said "I love you". But actions spoke much more loudly than words, and they both understood that perfectly.

 

Roxas tucked the strands behind Namine's ear lightly, bringing his hand back, his fingers lightly running over her cheek as he brought his hand back to his side. His smile grew a little at the sight of hers, the boy comfortable with the silence.

 

Namine turned her eyes back to Roxas, still smiling softly. How could she not feel relaxed and calm when Roxas was nearby? She loved him with all her heart, and just his presence was enough to make her feel happy.

 

Roxas met Namine's sky-blue eyes with his piercing blue. The aura in the room was one of peace and love, as well as care and trust. He liked the feeling of it, hating the auras that had been over his and Namine's heads around the last week.

 

Namine kept her eyes locked with Roxas', feeling as if she could look into those beautiful ocean-blue eyes forever.

 

Roxas gazed into Namine's eyes, noticing peace in their light depths. This only caused his smile to grow, and his want for her to be even happier to deepen. He smirked slightly, trying to think of a way to make her laugh.

 

Namine felt her smile grow at Roxas' smirk, a soft chuckle leaving her lips. She had no idea why he was smirking, but there was just something about it that made her happy.

 

Hearing Namine's giggle and knowing her eyes were still on his, Roxas figured that a funny face would do. He crossed his ocean-blue orbs and stuck out his tongue playfully, remembering how much it had made him laugh to see Sora doing it once.

 

Namine's laughter grew at Roxas' stranger face, her eyes showing curiosity...and happiness. This whole thing was pretty random, and she wondered why Roxas was acting so strangely.

 

Roxas uncrossed his eyes and looked at Namine, starting to chuckle at his own random goofy behavior. Namine's laughter also made him smile.

 

"You're such a goofball," Namine stated through her laughter, her eyes gazing lovingly on Roxas.

 

Roxas smiled while he laughed a little. "I think I've been hanging out with Sora too much," he guessed, his pearly whites showing a bit.

 

Namine's smile widened at Roxas' humor, her soft laughter continuing. "You're probably right," she said aloud, knowing how goofy Sora was.

 

Roxas nodded slightly, his laughter dying a little. He wished things could be that easy again, just be like that again; simple and clean. No messes to deal with, the only stress being work at Burger King, or McDonald's in Namine, Sora, and Kairi's case. Well, at least he was brightening things a little. That's what mattered.

Namine's laughter started to die down along with Roxas, though the smile stayed on her lips as she gazed at the blond boy in front of her.

 

Roxas' gaze stayed on Namine. He was glad he could make her laugh, that happiness keeping his smile on his face. That had been the first time they had both laughed like that in what felt like forever.

 

Namine's smile softened as she gazed lovingly at Roxas, her eyes staying connected with his piercing blue orbs.
