KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas approached the couch, looking down at the girl in his arms. He bent his knees a little as he gently started lowering her to the couch cushions. His arms lowered, lightly setting Namine down on the couch.

 

Namine exhaled softly when she felt her body touch the couch cushions, feeling comfortable. She slowly opened her eyes again and immediatly found Roxas again.

 

"I'll go get you some medicine," Roxas told Namine quietly, his eyes on hers. He pulled his arms out from underneath her form, starting to stand up straight again.

 

"Okay," Namine said softly, remembering the pain that she felt. She had been distracted from it for a while, both because of Roxas and because she had been dozing off...or asleep. She wasn't sure which.

 

Roxas straightened up before leaving the room, walking to the kitchen to grab some medicine for Namine.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes flickering shut again. She figured that she must have fallen asleep on the way home, because there was no way she would feel this drowsy now if she had just dozed off. In fact, she wouldn't be surprised if she fell asleep now, since she could already feel herself slipping and losing her grip on conciousness.

Roxas ran a hand through his blond hair as he walked down the hallway, late morning daylight coming through the windows of his home. The past few days had been quiet; nothing stressful happening since the visit to the hospital. Namine had stayed with Roxas at his house, but he didn't want her anywhere else anyway; he wanted to protect her and keep her safe, which he had done for the last couple days. It was Wednesday, and as Roxas passed a window, he looked outside. The sky was pale, only a very faint hint of blue behind the grey clouds. He could only guess that it was going to rain today, considering they hadn't had any in a while. Roxas turned his head to face forward again as he walked down the hallway, the house quiet. That's all the last few days had been...silent. Namine had slept a lot in the past few days, recovering from her injury. He was glad, because it meant she was getting better, and that was what he wanted most.

Namine exhaled softly, rolling over on the couch so she was facing toward the silent TV. She was just now waking up from her sleep, which had lasted the entire night. The girl was thankful for that, her dreams no longer being haunted by the memories. As time went by, she felt some of the pressure being lifted, feeling things going back to normal. Well, as normal as they could get anyway. Namine inhaled slowly, letting her eyes stay shut as she moved a hand and placed it on the pillow that her head rested on.

 

Roxas exhaled softly, turning the corner and walking past the staircase, having just left the laundry room. He had found a majority of his "missing" T-shirts in the wash, and he had lended them to Namine while she stayed. The boy entered the living room, his eyes falling on the blonde girl who appeared to be asleep on the couch, wearing a pair of Roxas' sweats and one of his tees.

 

Namine released a breath, moving her hand and bringing it to the side of her face. She sleepily brushed at some of her blonde hair, getting out out of her face. She really wasn't a morning person, but who was?

 

Roxas smiled softly at Namine's movement. She must have just woken up. He silently started toward her from the doorway, hearing faint noises from the TV.

 

Namine let her hand fall back in its previous position as she slowly opened her eyes, feeling as if she wasn't alone. She figured that it was Roxas. It appeared as if it were late morning with the lighting in the room, so it would make sense that he was awake as well.

 

Roxas approached the couch, stopping in front of Namine and kneeling down beside her in front of the couch. His eyes met her sleepy blue, which caused him to smile.

 

Namine smiled softly when her eyes met Roxas, the girl loving to wake up to those ocean-blue eyes. "Good morning," she greeted softly.

 

"Good morning," Roxas said, returning Namine's soft greeting. "A little sleepy, I see." Roxas' smile grew a little, his eyes on hers.

 

Namine's smile grew at Roxas' words and his smile, her eyes staying locked with his. "Yeah, kinda," she responded. She was at least thankful that despite her groggy feeling, she was well rested. She had gotten plenty of sleep these past few days, partly because Roxas was giving her medicine to make her drowsy. He told her that sleeping more would help her recover, and she understood the logic behing that idea.

 

Roxas' playful smile faded into a soft one, the boy tilting his head slightly as he looked at the girl in front of him. "How're you feeling?" he asked, his eyes taking in Namine's features. Hopefully all of the medicine he was giving her was helping her, and by the looks of it, even if it was the tiniest bit, she seemed better.

 

Namine's smile softened at Roxas', and she kept her eyes locked with his. "Not bad," she answered honestly. The pain was getting less intense each day, and it gave her the freedom to move around a little more. She still didn't move too much because the pain still lingered there, but it was definitly getting better.

 

"That's good to hear," Roxas said while letting out a soft breath. To know that he was helping Namine recover was relieving; whether it was the medicine or just his presense, he didn't know which, but whatever it was...it was working.

 

Namine nodded softly, still faintly smiling at Roxas. It wasn't only the medicine that was helping her with the pain, of course. It was Roxas as well. These past few days, whenever she had been awake, he was right by her side. It was so comforting to wake up every day and see him there, though she did feel a little guilty keeping him there with her. She had brought it up with him once, but he insisted that the only place that he wanted to be was with her. So she let the subject drop, believing his words and not pushing the topic any further.
