KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

"If you are," Roxas answered softly, his smile fading a little. Truth be told, he was desperately wanting to get out of here; this place never made him comfortable.

 

"I am," Namine said gently, her eyes flittering back up to Roxas. This place held some bad memories, but nothing quite as bad as what already haunted her mind from the past two days. Namine chased those thoughts away, not wanting to think abou them at the moment...or any moment, for that matter.

 

Roxas nodded, his eyes on hers as his stroking slowed to a stop. He stood up, his grip on Namine's hand loosening as he faced her. He bent over, gently sliding his hand out of hers as he moved to pick her up again. Going home sounded wonderful, especially since he knew how to properly take care of her now.

 

Namine gently moved her hand to her lap, getting it out of the way as Roxas moved to lift her. She didn't really like being in this time of weakness, having to depend on Roxas for absolutely everything. It had nothing to do with him; there was nothing wrong with him. She just felt bad for him, asking him to do everything for her. She felt some reassurance that he would do all this without her asking now, because he loved her. And she loved him too.

 

Roxas put his arm around Namine's back, his hand coming to her other side as his other arm went under her legs, his hand gripping her leg. He gently picked her up, aware that movement would hurt her stomach. Holding her close to him, Roxas started toward the door, happy to be leaving.

 

Namine's eyebrows furrowed slightly at a pang she felt in her stomach but she dismissed the pain the best she could, just wanting to relax into Roxas' arms. She exhaled softly through her nose and lifted up one arm, lightly wrapping it around his back and letting her hand rest gently on the other side of his neck.

Roxas approached his house, looking down at the light weight in his arms. His eyes fell on Namine's face, the wind lightly blowing her blonde bangs out of her eyes as they went toward his front door. He was glad to be out of that hospital, especially with Namine being the one in need of medical attention.

 

Namine exhaled softly, some of the wind blowing her bleach blonde hair. Her eyes were closed for a moment before she forced them open, the girl seeing that they were approaching Roxas' house. The trip had gone by surprisingly fast, and Namine figured that she had probably dozed off for part of the ride home.

 

Roxas felt himself smile slightly as he looked down at Namine, his legs still carrying him to the door. The taxi ride home had been silent, the girl having been asleep against Roxas' shoulder in the backseat. He remembered catching a smile on the cab driver's face, apparently thinking good of the two of them.

 

Namine blinked several times, trying to shake off the groggy feeling she had. She'd have to ask Roxas about that later, since she was too sleepy to find her voice at the moment.

OOC: Wow, it's late! I gotta go, bye!

 

Roxas' small smile stayed on his face as he grew closer to the front door of his home. He exhaled silently, glad to finally be home.

OOC: See you later!

 

Namine sighed softly, letting her head stay on Roxas' shoulder. She wasn't surprised that she felt so tired; everything had been so crazy and stressful lately, it only seemed logical that she would feel exhausted.

 

Roxas' pace slowed as he approached the door, coming to a stop. He looked at the door and then at Namine, then back at the door again. He exhaled, blowing a few blond spikes in front of his face up with his breath.

 

Namine flitted her eyes up to Roxas, seeing him looking at the door. She smiled weakly, knowing what had to be done. The blond girl reached forward and set her hand on the door knob, turning it slightly and pushing it in a little bit. She wasn't too surprised that it was unlocked; Roxas had probably known that it would be easier if it was open.

 

Roxas looked down at the girl in his arms, smiling a little sheepishly. "Thanks," he said softly, taking a step forward and putting one foot in the house.

 

Namine felt a smile appear on her lips at the sight of Roxas', hearing some slight embarassment in his voice. "Sure," she responded, gazing up the blond boy she loved with all her heart.

 

Roxas' smile stayed on his face as he tore his eyes away from Namine's, looking up as he stepped into the house. He stopped in front of the open door, glancing over his shoulder as he balanced himself while lifting up one foot. He used his foot to kick the door shut successfully before placing his foot back down on the ground, starting to walk to the living room.

 

Namine's smile faded slightly as she lowered her gaze to the floor, her eyelids feeling heavy. She felt as if she could fall back asleep, but at the same time, she didn't want that. It felt as if that was all she had been doing lately, and she wanted to spend a little more time with Roxas. He was sticking with her through all this, and she had to thank him somehow, she just wasn't sure how.

 

Roxas walked into the quiet room, the heavy aura that had once surrounded them a while ago no longer present. He felt relief at the knowledge, though not everything was all right yet; Namine still needed cared for, and he would surely do that.

 

Namine felt her eyelids fall closed again, despite her desire to keep them open. She felt relieved now, for two reasons. One of them being that the hospital visit was done and over with. The other was that she was in Roxas' arms. She felt safe, loved, protected in his arms. It very was soothing.
