KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas opened his eyes, finding himself staring at the floor. He took in a silent breath before releasing it, trying to calm himself before he got mad. Well, more mad at the jerk than he already was. Now wasn't the time to blow his top; he had to support Namine. Roxas lifted his head to look at Namine, meeting her eyes though she wasn't looking at him.

 

"I wish there was more I could do, but there's nothing I can do about bruising. You'll just have to take it easy for a little while, don't move unless you need to and take some medicine to help with the pain that you do have." The doctor looked at Namine before pausing in his speech, raising an eyebrow slightly. "No more getting into fights...got it?"

Namine smiled weakly, seeing the man's kind smile on his face. "I don't think you have to worry about that," Namine said, her eyes staying on the man.

 

Roxas looked up at the doctor at his words, smiling a little himself. Namine was right; the doctor definitely wouldn't have to worry about that, not as long as Roxas had a say in it. He would be sure to keep Namine safe; she was too dear to him for her not get anything but his protection.

 

The doctor smiled kindly at Namine, his clipboard at his side. "That's what I like to hear." A sudden beeping noise came from the gadget at his side, and he looked down to see his beeper going off. "Ah, you'll have to excuse me, but I have some other buisiness to attend to. You two are free to go now."

Namine smiled softly, appreciating the kind doctor's words. "Thank you," she said politetly, not only for his medical analysis, but also his kindness.

 

Roxas nodded slightly, a faint smile on his lips. "Thanks," he said to the doctor politely. He was very kind with Namine, which Roxas appreciated. After the last few encounters, she deserved as much kindness and care she could get.

 

The man nodded faintly to the two teens before turning around, walking forward and opening the door before exiting the room.

Namine silently watched the man leave before bringing up a hand and pulling back a strand of blonde hair, tucking it behind her ear.

 

Roxas kept his eyes on the door even after the man left, his elbows on his knees and his hands clasped together. The small smile he had for the doctor faded as he stared at the entrance to the room, his thoughts running through his mind then.

 

Namine exhaled slowly, releasing the breath quietly. It was a relief to know that things weren't too bad, even if they weren't too good either. Internal bruising definitly wasn't a good thing, but she realized that things could have been much worse. That thought brought her back to the reason why things weren't worse, and that was because of Roxas. If he hadn't shown up and saved her, she had no idea what would have happened.

 

Roxas' thoughts invaded his mind, the boy's eyes glazing over as he stared blankly at the door. It's a relief that nothing is worse, but I can't help but feel tense...and scared. Namine's going to be okay, I'll make sure of that. I'll be there for her. Always. Roxas took in a breath before exhaling, pressing his lips together in thought. But he is still out there...the person that hurt her. Doesn't he know who she is? She's not just a girl...Namine's my girl, my angel. And no jerk gets away with hurting her like this...

 

Namine lowered her head slightly and shut her eyes tiredly, feeling a little more relaxed now that she knew exactly what was going on. She was sure that Roxas was feeling the same way, though she couldn't tell from the silence. The air in the room was still oddly tense, but it didn't surprise her; not really. It was a hospital, and bad things happened here. This wasn't exactly her favorite place to be, and she knew Roxas shared her dislike of this place.

 

Roxas' jaw flexed slightly, and he closed his eyes and exhaled, angry with himself. Now was not the time for this kind of thinking. Namine was his number one priority, and taking care of her was first. Revenge was last.

 

Namine opened her eyes partway and shivered slightly, feeling the air conditioning in the room. Did these people not know that it was winter?! Why'd the hospital have to be so cold? The blond girl moved one of her hands and put it on the zipper, pulling it up partway to warm herself up.

 

Roxas opened his eyes and flitted them over to the girl next to him on the bed. Getting her home and comfortable was what he needed to do now; their visit to the hospital was done. And he was sure he wasn't the only one who wanted to get out of there.

 

Namine pulled at the sleeves of the jacket slightly, bringing them down a tad further to hide the bruising in her wrists. She didn't want to see that either, and she was glad that the doctor apparently hadn't seen it either. That would have been majorly awkward....more awkward than things originally were.

 

Roxas took in a soft breath and lifted his hand closest to Namine, reaching over and gently setting his hand on top of one of hers. His eyes stayed on his hand, slightly bigger than hers.

 

Namine's eyes flitted down at the light pressure, seeing Roxas' hand lightly on top of hers. She smiled faintly before looking at his face, though she couldn't read his expression very well. It almost looked as if he were upset about something...

 

Keeping his eyes on his hand, Roxas moved his fingers, wrapping them around Namine's. He held her hand securely in his for a moment before looking up, a soft gaze greeting him when he met her eyes.

 

Namine smiled softly at Roxas, feeling the warmth of his kind gesture. It felt good for his hand to be holding hers again; bringing reassurance and comfort. His gaze also had that affect, his ocean-blue orbs showing gentleness.

 

Namine's smile naturally brought a soft smile on Roxas' lips. He let his thumb rub over her skin a little as he held her gaze, being kind and gentle with her.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her soft gaze staying on Roxas. "Ready to go?" she asked softly, her eyes falling down to their hands for a moment at the light stroking. She didn't really want to ruin a peaceful moment, but this place wasn't exactly comfortable anyway.
