KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas nodded and turned his head back to Namine. He noticed she wasn't looking at him, but at their hands. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze.

 

When she felt Roxas gently squeeze her hand, Namine let her eyes wander away from their hands and back to Roxas, seeing the boy gently staring at her.

 

"Let's go," Roxas said softly, knowing the nurse was still beside him and waiting patiently. He could tell that Namine was scared, and he hoped that nothing would make that emotion grow.

 

Namine nodded slightly, her eyes staying on Roxas. "Okay," she said softly, her grip around Roxas' hand loosening a little.

 

Roxas smiled slightly before standing up, his hand slipping out of Namine's. He bent over, putting his arms around her back and under her legs again so he could pick her up.

OOC: I gotta go get ready for the party. See you later!

 

Namine's eyes stayed on Roxas when she felt him gently wrap an arm around her back so he could pick her up, the girl feeling a pang of nervousness when she thought about how they were going back now. She believed in Roxas' words; he had said things would be alright. But she felt nervous all the same, hoping things wouldn't be too serious.

Roxas kept his eyes down as he picked Namine up, lifting her off of the chair and holding her close as he turned around. He raised his eyes to the nurse who had her hands behind her back and waiting patiently. He nodded to her to let her know they were ready.

"This way," she said softly, motioning with her hand for Roxas to follow her.

Roxas' eyes stayed on the nurse as he followed her out of the waiting room, all the while holding Namine close to him.

 

Namine inhaled softly, her eyes flitting away from Roxas and to the nurse as they went out of the waiting room. She really didn't like this hospital at all.

 

The nurse held open a door for Roxas as he followed her out of the waiting room and into a hallway. Once he stepped into the hallway, the nurse took the lead again. Roxas trailed behind her, glancing down at Namine for a second. The moment he saw her expression, he tightened his hold slightly, looking back up again as he proceeded down the hallway.

 

Namine exhaled softly at Roxas' hold, guessing that he had looked down and saw her expression. She leaned her shoulder against his head slightly, her eyes falling to the ground. She was relieved that Roxas was there; his care and love meant a lot to her.

 

Roxas took in a soft breath and released it, feeling a little nervous for Namine's health. He really didn't want to hear any bad news, but that was common in this place. He knew that well enough now. Holding Namine close, Roxas slowed his pace when the nurse stopped at a door to a hospital room, opening it up for him. He stepped into the room with Namine in his arms, knowing that she was probably just as nervous as he was.

 

Namine blinked softly, her gaze staying on the floor. If something seriously was wrong, she didn't know what she would do. But...even if something wasn't wrong, how could they go back to the way things were? Things had changed so drastically; was it possible for life to go back to normal? Of course things can go back to normal, Namine thought to herself, dismissing the questions. Things had been worse a few months ago, and if they could get through that, they could get through this too.

 

Roxas walked over to the bed in the room, gently bending over to set Namine down as the nurse spoke from her place at the door.

"The doctor will be with you in a moment," she said politely before she left the room quietly.

Roxas heard the nurse leave, but didn't really pay attention, his focus being on Namine; the most important person to him. His eyes found her face, and her expression, and he wanted desperately just to get her out of here so she wasn't so nervous, which was apparent on her features. But Roxas knew he couldn't do that; Namine needed to get better, and in order for that to happen, she needed medical treatment.

 

Namine nodded faintly at the nurse's words before she heard the woman exit the room, leaving her with Roxas. The girl sighed softly, folding her hands in her lap and lowering her gaze to them. She knew that it was obvious to Roxas how nervous she was, but she couldn't really help that right now. Once she knew what was going on, she'd be much more calm.

 

Roxas sat down in the chair next to the bed, taking in a soft breath. He hoped things went over well... He didn't know what he would do if they didn't.

 

Namine crossed her legs slightly in front of her, her gaze lifting to the wall in front of her. They'd get things sorted out...she just had to be patient.

 

Roxas leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees as he clasped his hands together. He just had to be patient, and maybe then things would go well.

 

Namine looked over at the sound of a door opening, seeing a man in a white coat enter the room. She tensed up slightly at the sight, though she wasn't completely sure why.

The doctor stepped into the room, clipboard in his left hand. He turned around and closed the door before turning his attention to the two teens. "Hello there," he said, his voice kind and friendly.

 

Roxas turned his head, leaning up slightly from his position. His eyes fell on the doctor, and he nodded to the man. "Hi," he greeted softly, his voice polite despite the situation.

 

Namine turned her eyes toward the man and nodded politetly, watching the man approach them. He stopped by the two of them, switching his gaze from Namine to Roxas.

"So, what exactly happened?" He asked, not sure which teen would answer his question. He knew that the girl was having stomach pains, but that's all that he had heard.
