KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas tightened his hold slightly, holding Namine closer to him as he left the living room and started toward the front door. She would be fine, he would make sure of that.

 

Namine felt a small sliver of comfort when Roxas held her more tightly, the blond feeling safe in his arms.

 

Roxas slowed his pace as he was a few feet from the door, stopping when he was in front of it. He pursed his lips, looking down at Namine. "Can you open the door for me?" he asked sheepishly, a shy smile on his face.

 

Namine chuckled softly at Roxas' sheepish smile, surprising herself. "Of course," she said softly, a small smile on her lips. She brought her hand off of her stomach and reached down slightly, taking hold of the doorknob and turning it before pulling it toward her slightly.

 

Roxas' smile stayed on his face, but grew a little at her small laugh as he took a small step back so Namine could open the door a little more.

 

Namine held onto the door handle and pulled it more, opening the door further.

 

Once the door was open enough for him to step through, Roxas held Namine close as he took the few steps out of his home and onto his doorstep. He looked down at Namine turning a little toward the door. "I think you'll have to close it too," he said, chuckling a little sheepishly with the same smile.

 

Namine kept her small smile on her lips at Roxas' chuckle. "Got it." The girl reached over again and grabbed onto the handle, pulling the door shut.

 

Roxas glanced at the door as Namine closed it before looking down at her, his small smile on his face. At least there had been a few laughs. He held Namine tightly in his arms, close to his chest as he started down the path from his home.

 

Namine gently let her arm move back to its previous spot, letting it rest lightly on top of her stomach again as Roxas gingerly carried her away from his house and...to the doctor. That thought sobered her, making her small smile fade away.

Roxas held Namine in his arms again after exiting the cab, hearing it drive out into traffic. He held her close as he looked up at the building as he walked toward it, remembering all of the stuff that happened here a while ago. He hoped nothing like that would happen today...especially to Namine. Just the thought of it made Roxas hold her tighter against him, protectively.

Namine bit her lip lightly as she brought her head out of Roxas' shoulder slightly, seeing the towering hospital in front of her. That place was just plain scary, and she didn't want to go in at all. But she felt a small reassurance because Roxas was still holding onto her tightly, and she knew that he was thinking the same thing. They were going through this together...and it both comforted her and made her sad; Roxas didn't deserve to go through something this stressful. He was the best thing that ever happened to her.

 

Roxas exhaled a breath as the sun shone in his eyes, causing him to squint slightly as he walked to the building. The wind blew at his spikes gently, and he was thankful he grabbed the jackets. The sunlight in his eyes was blocked by the building in front of him, the sun stuck behind it from this angle. His vision cleared, seeing Namine out of the corner of his eye below him as he held her. He had to admit, he was nervous; Roxas didn't know if her condition was severe or not, though it did present itself pretty serious in his eyes. He was just scared of what the doctor might say...

 

Namine exhaled softly at the gentle breeze, which made her blond bangs blow slightly and come down in her eyes for a moment. As the wind died down, her bangs returned to their previous position as if the wind had never been there at all.

 

Roxas kept his eyes in front of him as he approached the automatic doors, both sliding open for him as he walked through. At the same time, his nerves grew, which caused him to hold Namine closer.

 

Namine bit down on her lip harder as they entered the building, feeling Roxas hold her even more tightly. She knew from the simple act that he was nervous too, and that added to her fears as well. What if something bad happened...?

 

Roxas entered the hospital, walking into the room where many people were. He was sure he would attract attention, considering he was carrying Namine into the hospital.

 

Namine exhaled nervously, her eyes wandering across the room. She was surprised that nobody had noticed them yet; the two blondes standing out in the crowd.

 

Roxas decided that it would be best to set Namine down before going to talk to the woman behind the front desk. He walked over to a set of chairs closest to the desk and started to set Namine down.

 

Namine brought her head completely off of Roxas' shoulder when she felt him gently set her down. Her gaze stayed on him as she slowly took back her arm, which had been wrapped around Roxas' shoulders.
