KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas kept his piercing blue eyes on her sky blue, letting his hand run down her hair and then continue to her back. He could sense some fear in the room, from something...but he didn't know if it was him or not. His nightmare had been terrible, a mix of both of the horrible events and combined into one. Roxas' fear settled as soon as he came into the room, and when he noticed that Namine was all right...for the most part, anyway.

 

Namine blinked softly one time, her eyes flitting down to the sofa a moment before returning back up to Roxas' stare. It wasn't that she didn't want to look him in the eye, but because she didn't want him to stare too deeply into her eyes. She was still shaken up by her horrible dream, and she was afraid he would be able to notice it. But...would be such a bad thing to let him comfort her...?

 

Roxas blinked once softly, gazing at Namine for a brief moment before looking back at his hand as it came back up her back. He could sense something (though he wasn't exactly sure what it was) coming from Namine. But she wasn't the easiest person to read, and when he looked back into her eyes, Roxas knew that she would have to let him in because he couldn't break through the barrier...if there was one.

 

Namine could feel Roxas' gaze, and she realized that he wanted to be let in. Her eyes shut for a brief moment before they flickered back open, her soft blue eyes falling on Roxas' again. She decided to let him know what was going on inside her head...at least emotionwise. After he saw her emotions, he could probably guess what had happened.

 

Roxas looked into Namine's eyes as his hand came to a stop on her upper back, the barrier blocking her emotions finally opening. Once it did, he could see so many emotions stirring within their light blue depths. Suffering. Sorrow. Fear. Panic. Discomfort. Roxas' eyes softened as he gazed into hers...starting to get an idea of what she had apparently gone through recently.

 

Namine held her gaze with Roxas, noticing a softening in their appearance. She exhaled softly, realizing that Roxas must have seen her emotions in her eyes. She didn't really want to unload all that on him, but keeping it away from him seemed like a worse idea.

 

Roxas exhaled softly, keeping his hold on the gaze he and Namine shared. His hand moved up her back again, moving to her shoulder closest to him. Considering how tired she appeared to be, he could only guess that she experienced nightmares too, which he really didn't want for her.

 

Namine tiredly shut her eyes again, her head falling slightly. The soft gesture that Roxas was performing, along with her lack of sleep, was making her feel even more weak and tired than she already was. She didn't want the gentle rubbing to stop, though she did wish that it was occuring under better circumstances. The aura that hung around them was still very heavy.

 

Roxas moved his fingers along Namine's shoulder slowly and lightly, trying to lift the heaviness of the aura in the room, even if it only worked a tiny bit. Nightmares...he didn't want Namine to suffer through them too. His had been bad enough, and he couldn't imagine what Namine's must have been like.

 

Namine slowly released her legs, letting them stay bent but keeping them further away from her chest now. She folded her hands in front of her for a moment before opening her eyes again and lifting her right hand. She let that hand gently float up and land on Roxas' cheek, her soft gaze locking with his eyes again.

 

Roxas looked at Namine, keeping his gaze locked with hers again. Her gentle touch comforted him somewhat as he did the same for her, his rubbing motion continuing.

 

Namine gently ran her thumb over Roxas' cheek as she looked into his eyes again, hoping to find out what he was thinking. When she had first noticed him by her side, she was surprised, but the look in his eye was more alarming. What did that look mean? She hadn't seen one quite like that before...

 

Roxas found Namine's motion soothing and kept his eyes locked with hers, noticing her searching them for something. He could only guess was what emotions he was feeling too. He should've figured that, since he had looked into hers for the same reason.

 

Namine gently searched Roxas' eyes, this time having more sucess than before. She saw a trace of fear in his eyes, along with panic and...desperation? Why would he feel desperate? Namine didn't quite understand that one. Did one of his dreams cause that feeling; or did he too feel like they needed to be together? It was true that she had horrible nightmares all night long, and she wondered if Roxas had been going through the same thing.

 

Roxas pressed his lips together as he inhaled and then let them relax when he exhaled softly through his nose. He wasn't sure of what Namine would find or was finding in his eyes, because his emotions were so jumbled at the moment that he didn't even know what to feel. He just kept his eyes locked with her as he rubbed her shoulder lightly, letting her discover the truth in his eyes.

 

Namine's eyes softened at the appearance of Roxas' emotions, them being scattered and jumbled across his eyes. She was sure that everything was haunting his mind the same way they were hers, and it made her sad to see him go through something like that. She exhaled softly, pulling herself out of his ocean-blue pools.

 

Roxas blinked once, glancing away from Namine's eyes for a moment as his rubbing slowed. He wondered what she saw...and supposed it was a bad thing. Even if his emotions were jumbled, he knew they were bad feelings.

 

Namine slowly stopped stroking Roxas' cheek with her thumb, blinking softly as she pieced together her thoughts. As miserable as she was, she wasn't going to let Roxas feel the same emotion; not as long as she had a say in it. The girl shifted her legs slightly so she could sit closer to Roxas, immediatly feeling a strong pang of discomfort in her stomach area.

 

Roxas shifted his gaze back to Namine when she moved. His eyes met hers again, and he saw one emotion he had located earlier grow slightly. But which one was it?

 

Namine's eyes locked with Roxas' again just as she finished shifting, a spot available next to her now. "Come sit closer," she requested quietly, speaking for the first time in a very long time.
