KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas sucked in a breath at his nightmare, his heart jumping.

Roxas' eyes widened as he looked over the blade, confused. He suddenly felt weight in his left hand, and he looked down at it to find himself gripping Oathkeeper as well. What the...? He looked up then, seeing everything blurring and changing in front of his eyes. He took a step back, looking around in confusion while things blurred and were wavy as the area around him seemed to get darker. Roxas looked around him, feeling chills rise on his arms as he saw the sense of abandonment in the area surrounding him now. He turned his head, hearing clashing going on behind him. "Sora...?" Roxas whispered in wonder. Sora was wielding two blades of his own, clashing them with an opponent. But it was...Carter?! What was going on?!

Roxas whirled when he suddenly heard a cry opposite him, his eyes widening when he saw the two people before him. It was him. Smith. And in his hands, seeming broken and afraid...Namine.

 

As she became more fully awake, Namine was aware of the television in the background. Of course...she was in Roxas' living room still, lying on his couch. She sighed softly, her eyes shutting again. She had no idea what time it was, but she still felt exhausted, both physically and emotionally. Subconciously, she started to bite her lip lightly, all the fears and feelings she had before rushing to her heart.

 

Roxas ground his teeth together angrily while he slept, stuck in his nightmare.

Roxas froze, his eyes widened in surprise, fear, and panic. His eyes caught Namine's, seeing pain in them...sorrrow. His orbs immediately darted up to Smith, feeling a burning rage go through him as he tightened his hold on Oblivion and Oathkeeper. He hated that man. Despised him more than anything else in the world. Smith suddenly smirked, and roughly pushed Namine forward, a painful cry leaving her lips. Roxas felt his voice rising, a name leaving him at the sight.

"Namine!" Roxas cried, bolting upright in his bed, his eyes wide with fear. His heart beat rapidly in his chest, the boy blinking as he looked around quickly, checking to make sure Smith was nowhere to be found. When he wasn't, Roxas brought a hand to his chest, feeling his heartbeat as he breathed heavily from all of the adrenaline caused by his nightmare. As he exhaled a breath, he brought his hand from his chest to his forehead, feeling sweat. Roxas let his hand fall as he sighed, his eyes lowering to his bed sheets. "I'm dreaming..." he told himself.

 

Namine's eyes stayed closed as she moved her arms, which had been folded across her chest. She brought them to her sides and set them on the couch, slowly shifting her position. The blond suddenly felt an urge to sit up, perhaps because she had been lying down for a very long time. Her eyebrows furrowed at the pain as she started to prop herself up, the pain in her stomach just as strong as it had been yesterday.

 

Roxas inhaled a breath through his mouth, trying to calm his heart rate. The dream...it had felt so real, and the way he reacted to it only proved how real it had been. First Jeff...and then Smith... They both hurt her...caused pain to Namine. Roxas' eyebrows shot up, his eyes finding the door. Namine. He needed to see her, after what just happened. Roxas threw the covers off of him and got out of bed without hesitation, heading straight for the door.

 

Namine grunted softly as she pushed herself back slightly, her back resting in the corner of the couch as she sat up. The emotions in her heart were still so real...so powerful and upsetting. Her physical pain only emphasized what a wreck she was, making her feel more miserable. She sighed softly and brought her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them tightly and burrying her head in her knees.

 

Roxas left his room, practically jogging down the hallway as he made his way to the staircase. His nightmare...it had been too real. Too real for comfort, and since he remembered how much pain Namine was in already from her stomach, Roxas knew that checking on her would be best...for both of them. He quickly went down the stairs, turning and heading to the living room. When he turned the corner at the doorway, he stopped, his eyes finding her.

 

Namine inhaled softly through her nose, turning her head slightly in her knees. Her bleach blonde hair fanned over her shoulders, covering some of her tank top. The feelings of fear and sadness were so overwhelming in her heart, and she couldn't shake them off. All of this was far too real and too serious for her to ignore. She sighed sadly, her furrowed eyebrows coming up slightly at the release of the breath.

 

Namine... Roxas' eyes went over her form, seeing and feeling the discomfort from the aura in the room. He was sure he added to that though, with his worry for her. Roxas released a silent breath and walked over to the couch to be next to her.

 

Namine, oblivious to another presence in the room, kept her eyes shut, not lifting her head at all. She bit her lip at the discomfort, the aura feeling extremely heavy around her. The embrace around her legs tightened slighlty as she pulled them tighter, feeling coldness and sorrow in her heart.

 

Roxas bit his lip, his eyes gazing at Namine's form in deep concern. He approached the couch, bending down in front of her as he put a hand on her shoulder gently, his eyes on her face and her expression.

 

Namine jumped slightly at the gentle touch, not expecting it at all. She brought her head out of her knees slightly, turning her head on its side as she gazed at the boy in front of her. Roxas...what was he doing there? She hadn't even heard him come in. Her surprised eyes stayed on Roxas.

 

Roxas released a breath, still a little shaken up from his sleep. But he was glad to know she was still with him, even if she wasn't feeling her best. His grip on Namine's shoulder tightened a little, not meaning to scare her.

 

Namine's eyes flittered over to the hand that was on her shoulder before running across Roxas' arm and back to the boy's face, some confusion on Namine's tired face. Her eyes met his and she immediatly felt concern, seeing something she couldn't identify in their blue depths.

 

Roxas looked into her eyes for a moment, knowing she was reading his eyes. He looked down after that, seeing the open space in front of him because Namine was snuggled into the corner of the couch. He let his hand stay on her shoulder as he silently sat down, his eyes flitting back up to hers.

 

Namine's eyes followed the movement, seeing Roxas move himself so he sat on the couch in front of her. Her eyes stayed down for a moment, trying to process what emotion she had seen in Roxas' eyes. It was something complex...and she couldn't quite place it in her dazed state. She desperately wished that she wasn't feeling so horrible physically or emotionally at that moment so she could figure it out. Her gaze flitted back up to Roxas' eyes as she continued to think about that look.

 

Roxas looked into Namine's eyes for a moment, a foggy look in her eyes. His blue eyes shifted away from hers and to her back as he moved his hand from her shoulder, moving hair that hung down next to her face. He swiftly brushed the light blonde strands behind her shoulder, his fingertips barely touching her skin on her shoulder.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her gaze falling on the light movement. She felt some of her misery leave her at the soft gesture, Roxas helping her relax ever so slightly.

 

Once the hair was against her back, Roxas brought his hand up to Namine's head, running his hand down her long blonde hair slowly. His eyes found hers again as he tried to lift the heavy aura, though he knew a part of it was coming from him now.

 

Namine let her eyes wander back over to Roxas, her heart warming at the loving gesture. She kept her soft gaze on him as she loosened the grip around her legs a little.
