KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora slowly pulled back from the kiss, his eyes flittering open and looking down at the girl he held in his arms. The fact that she had spoken to him had helped him realize that he was comforting her, and he was thankful he was able to help. He started running a hand over her hair again, his gaze staying on Kairi.

 

Kairi kept her eyes closed as she took in deeper breaths, trying to calm herself down so her emotions wouldn't take any more control over her. She could feel Sora's gaze on her, his hand running over her hair in a caring gesture, which also comforted her more and helped the process of relaxing. Once she had control over herself and gained her composure, she would try and explain exactly what was bothering her.

 

Sora gently continued the caring gesture, his eyes only showing his care, concern, and love. He felt a sense of relief when Kair's body started to become less tense, the girl starting to relax in his arms.

 

Kairi felt her body relax more as the aura's heaviness in the room lifted, care and love replacing it. The girl leaned her head against Sora's shoulder as she took in another deep breath, releasing it slowly as she blinked, her wet eyelashes tickling her cheeks.

 

Sora kept his light gaze on Kairi, letting his embrace soften just a little bit. He moved his left hand down and started to run over her arm again, letting silence fill the room again.

 

Kairi opened her eyes, looking up at the boy holding her. "Thank you, Sora," she whispered softly. But she didn't just mean for his comfort he was bringing her; she meant for everything--his care, his support, his protection, and most of all...his love. It meant more to her than she could put into words.

 

Sora smiled softly at the girl, his piercing blue eyes meeting her violet-blue orbs. "Of course," he answered, whispering as well. He loved her with all his heart, and he would do whatever it took to help her through this. He made a promise to Kairi...and himself, that things would be okay. He would make sure to fulfill that vow no matter what.

 

Kairi kept her tear-glistened eyes locked with the gentle ocean-blue gazing back at her, a weak smile forming on her lips from his. No matter what was bothering her, Sora knew how to cheer her up; he always had, even when they were little kids. Kairi knew that he had to still be a little confused as to what was bothering her, and when she found the right words to express it, she would tell him.

 

Sora kept his soft blue eyes connected with hers as he ran a hand over her arm, the silence in the room much more peaceful than it had been earlier.

 

Kairi closed her eyes for a second, relaxing into Sora's form as she sniffled. She lifted up her hand on his chest as she opened her eyes, wiping away the tear stains on her face.

 

Sora exhaled softly, continuing to hold Kairi gently in his arms. His embrace was soft enough that she could move if she wanted to, but tight enough that she knew he was there with her, supporting her.

 

Kairi wiped away the tears, her hand running over her left cheek. She winced slightly when she touched her mark, a slight stinging sensation coming from the spot on her face. She kept her hand there, looking out at the room as she thought about how hard Scott had slapped her.

 

Sora heard Kairi wince, and the concern immediatly grew in his eyes. He let his hand sit still on her arm as he brought up his right hand from behind her back and set it lightly on the back of her head. It looked as if that mark on her face (whatever it was from) was hurting her. Sora exhaled softly and shut his eyes, feeling anger toward whoever would dare touch Kairi...let alone hurt her. But then Sora pushed away the emotion, knowing that now wasn't the time for anger. He had used enough of his anger and rage during the battle the other day, so it should have been out of his system by now.

 

Kairi closed her eyes as the memory came back, but she immediately pushed it away, knowing her emotions would come back if that happened, not that all of them were gone anyway. But that wasn't really the point. Scott had apparently used all of his strength against her, for he had smacked her. Hard. Kairi was in a little pain whenever she touched it, but she didn't know how Sora would react if he saw it...Or if he had already seen it, she hadn't caught a reaction out of him.

 

Sora opened his eyes and looked down at the girl with concern. He then moved his left hand once again, moving it lightly under Kairi's chin. He gently lifted her chin so he could get a better view of her face, but her hand was hiding the mark that he had noticed earlier.

 

Kairi kept her fingers lightly over the mark as she looked into Sora's eyes, not wanting to put too much pressure on the little injury. She read the obvious concern in his eyes and she bit her lip a little.

 

Sora noticed that she kept her hand over the mark, and as much as he hated it, he decided he had to break the silence. "Can I see?" He requested gently, his soft eyes staying on hers.

 

Kairi gazed into his eyes and then let her hand come off her cheek, revealing the evidence that someone had touched her in the wrong way.

 

Sora felt his eyes soften at the appearance of the mark, which was pretty noticable. He felt an urge to reach up and stroke her cheek, but then another thought came to his mind: what if he accidently hurt her? He definitly didn't want to cause her any pain, but he did need to see it to know how serious it was. He hesitantly lifted his left and set it on her cheek, one finger very lightly running over the red mark.

 

Kairi closed her eyes, feeling a small stinging sensation coming from the light pressure. It wasn't that bad, the fact that Sora was touching it making it less painful. But it did still hurt...
