KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora gently kept his gaze on Kairi for a moment, before turning around and seeing the stuff still sitting out on the counter. He didn't want the meat and cheese to go bad, or Kairi would have nothing to eat later. He kind of figured that she wasn't hungry at that moment, because it seemed like she was in need of emotional support more than food. But still, he didn't want her to collapse from hunger on him; they had enough going on. "...would you like something to eat?" He asked her, the question seeming pretty random. He turned his gaze back to her, waiting for her reaction.

 

"Sure," Kairi answered with a nod. Though hunger was the last thing on her mind right now, she had to at least have some kind of nutrition in her.

 

Sora nodded softly in response, keeping his eyes locked on hers for a moment before heading back over to the counter, glad he had made that extra sandwhich. Before grabbing it, he took the two packages of meat and cheese, heading toward the fridge and putting them back in their places. Then he headed over toward the plate and grabbed it.

OOC: I gotta go for tonight, bye!

 

Kairi followed Sora with her violet-blue eyes, biting her lip a little. Paying attention to his movements was temporarily taking away her thoughts and memories, so she stuck with it.

OOC: Okay. Bye!

 

Sora turned himself slightly and walked back up to Kairi, stopping in front of her. "Here," he said softly, his bright blue eyes connecting with hers. He tried to read her eyes, but for some reason, he couldn't really tell what she was thinking. He saw a lot of jumbled emotions, but that was about it.

 

Kairi uncrossed her arms and gently took the plate from his grasp, her eyes flitting down to the food. "Thanks," she said softly, looking back up into his eyes.

 

"Sure," Sora responded with a soft nod, hearing a far-away tone in her voice. It didn't quite seem like she was herself, and it worried him a little. Still, he knew not to press the subject. He diverted his gaze away from Kairi's and stepped to the side slightly, moving past Kairi and into the living room.

 

Kairi turned and followed him silently, looking down at her plate. The sandwich looked good, and she would eat it for both the kindness of Sora making it and for her own health, even if she wasn't that hungry at the moment.

 

The room was still dark, so Sora walked over to the endtable beside the couch and flipped on the switch, the large living room filling with light. He blinked once to adjust, and then he looked to the couch. Roxas' pillow and blanket were still there, and they were kind of in the way. The brunette took a step over and picked up the stuff, and then he set it beside the sofa in the floor. After that was done, he sat himself down on the couch, silence controlling the room and its heavy aura.

 

Kairi walked into the living room, lifting her gaze and sitting beside Sora on the couch. Once she was sitting, she set her plate on her lap as she picked up the sandwich, taking a bite out of it.

 

Sora leaned forward slightly on the couch, bringing his elbows to his knees. He clasped his hands in front of him, just looking out in front of him. Kairi acted as if she was very upset, and he wanted to help in anyway he could...but he needed to be let in first. Still though, he loved and respected Kairi too much to force anything out of her. She'd talk when she was ready to.

 

Kairi took another bite out of the sandwich, the taste making her realize that she had just told herself she wasn't hungry. She actually was, and as she chewed up the meat, cheese, and bread, she knew that her emotions were making her so down. But she couldn't really force them away, either.

 

Sora inhaled softly, then released the breath, shifting the grip on his hands slightly. He was worried about Kairi, and about how the events yesterday affected her. His eyes shut for a breif moment, remembering the terror in her voice when she had first been taking away from him. She had screamed his name in her sorrow and fear, and that had transferred all those emotions to his heart as well. Her pain was his pain, and that was the reality of things.

 

After a minute, Kairi had taken the last bite of her sandwich, swallowing it as she looked down at her lap. The silence was one of discomfort, and she knew it wasn't just that way for her; it was that way for Sora as well, which caused Kairi to bite her lip in guilt. She knew the heavy, deep aura was coming from her.

 

Sora would stay with Kairi no matter what, even if he didn't know everything. If she didn't want to talk, that was completely fine with him. Although in his heart, he wished she would open up to him, so he could carry the burden with her. Together, they could overcome anything. He believed that with all his heart. He would never stop believing it.

 

Kairi desperately wanted to tell Sora what was wrong, but she didn't know how to start. Everything had just been so...overwhelming. Kairi wasn't sure how to even sort all of her thoughts. She kind of needed to figure it out herself. Kairi sat up straighter, trying to get more comfortable with all of her tension as she crossed her arms again, keeping them in place because they still hurt from yesterday.

 

Sora felt a little movement on the couch beside him, but he kindly kept his gaze away from Kairi. It wasn't that he didn't want to look at her, because he really did, so he could figure out what she was thinking. Still though, he would give her space if she wanted space. The teen opened his eyes and brought his elbows off his legs, leaning back into the couch again.

 

Kairi nibbled on her lip for a moment, memories flashing in her mind again. The memory of Sora's face after she had called out to him just as they were getting ready to take her away popped into her mind, causing her to close her eyes in sadness. Because their hearts were connected, Kairi had been able to feel the emotions within him at that point, which were also feeding hers deeper and deeper, and vice versa for Sora. They shared each other's pain, and she didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing about their relationship. Kairi quit biting her lip as she let the scenes play throughout her mind, up to the point until after she was tied up. When she had heard Sora's voice within her...Gosh, she couldn't have been more relieved. She had known then that she was definitely not alone in the whole situation, but then again, she never actually was. Sora was always with her, even when she felt alone.

 

Sora bit his lip subconciously, not even realizing that he was doing it. The silence in the room was uneasy, but he didn't feel right being the one to break it. He exhaled softly, wondering if there was anything he could do to lift the heavy atmosphere that surrounded them.

 

Kairi's memories jumped to the point when she was tied up to the pole in the warehouse, the two guards--Scott and Johnson--having been in the room with her.

"Have something to say, missy?" Johnson had asked in a rude tone as he looked down on her next to Scott. Kairi had just glared up at the two guards, hate, anger, and fear burning in her eyes.

"Leave me alone!" Kairi had tried to scream behind the tape, her voice only being muffled and unintelligable.

One guard, Scott, knelt down next to Kairi on one knee. "She seems to be a little angry. Maybe it's because her Keyblade wielder let her get taken away?" the guard mused aloud, shaking his head in fake sadness. "What a terrible boy he was, just letting us take you away like that."

"Stop it!" Kairi tried to cry, but her screams couldn't be deciphered. "You don't even know him!"
