KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine shook her head slightly, seeing tiredness in the depths of Roxas' piercing blue eyes. He still looked tired, even if he didn't want to admit it. "You're sure?" she asked softly, keeping her light blue orbs on him.

 

"Yeah," Roxas confirmed with a small nod. He would rather be with her than be by himself upstairs. He remembered the nightmares he had last night, and he had a feeling he would probably experience them again. The thought of it made Roxas want to stay with Namine, the boy remembering how her gentle presence had made the nightmare less intense.

 

"All right," Namine said softly, still not completely comfortable with Roxas' decision. She didn't want him to stay up with her, especially when he looked so tired. The last thing they needed was for something else to happen.

 

Roxas offered her a small smile before going back to moving his fingers again, running them over Namine's skin a little. He could see the look in her eyes, but he really wanted to stay with her. And if he ended up falling asleep right here, he didn't care.

 

Namine let her eyes shut again, Roxas' light stroking bringing a small amount of comfort.

 

Roxas flitted his eyes to the couch, staring down at the open cushion space tiredly. He had to admit, he was pretty tired, but he didn't want to sleep yet. Not really. True, just the word 'sleep' made him want to go to bed, but still...

 

Namine exhaled softly, keeping her eyes shut. She knew she was horrible company at the moment, but Roxas was staying with her because he loved her. And that's what you did when you loved someone...you stayed by their side, no matter what.

 

Roxas focused his attention on the words being said on the TV behind him. He kept his eyes open, staring at the couch as he focused on the action happening through the lines from the cast of the show.

 

Namine exhaled softly, her thoughts wandering to many different topics. She heard the television in the background, but she wasn't paying attention to that.

OOC: I gotta go for today, see you tomorrow.

 

Roxas felt his eyes growing heavier and he shifted his position slightly, leaning his side against the couch. Exhaustion was taking him over little by little, and he knew he would eventually pass out from it.

OOC: Okay. See you later.

 

Namine shifted her hand slightly when Roxas moved, letting it rest lightly on Roxas' back. She could tell that he was going to fall asleep soon, and she wanted very badly for him to just go up to his own bed. But she wouldn't press the subject, since it seemed Roxas had already made up his mind.

 

Roxas stared at the floor with heavy eyes, trying to focus on the voices from the television. Sleep was beginning to sound wonderful, and so was the thought of being in his bed. Even if that was the case, he still didn't feel comfortable leaving Namine by herself downstairs.

 

Namine let her eyes fall on her hand as she gently started to run it over Roxas' back, feeling that he was tense. But she wasn't surprised; all the action was enought to make anyone feel stressed.

 

Roxas blinked slowly at the gesture, his eyes wanting to stay closed as he forced them open again. Namine's motion was soothing him, relaxing him as sleep called him.

 

Namine smiled weakly when she felt Roxas relax slightly, though he wasn't completely stress free. She sensed an aura in the room, and it was different. So different that she didn't know how to explain it. She continued with the soft gesture, lightly rubbing Roxas' upper back.

 

Roxas exhaled softly, flitting his tired eyes to Namine. Even if he was tired, he wanted to be by her side in case she needed him...and he needed her. That's what you did when you loved someone; you were always with them, no matter what.

 

The moment her eyes connected with Roxas', Namine knew that he was having a hard time staying awake. She slowed her gentle rubbing a little, her gentle blue eyes gazing into his. "Go get some sleep," she whispered quietly. "I'll be here when you wake up."

 

Roxas nodded slightly with a tired smile. He felt assurance behind her words, and he felt comforted that she was right.

 

Namine faintly returned his smile, completely stopping with rubbing his back. She brought her hand back to an open spot in front of her, her soft blue eyes gazing at Roxas. She was relieved to get that reaction from him, because it was pretty obvious he needed rest.

 

Roxas exhaled softly as he tiredly pushed himself up from the floor. After standing up, he looked back at Namine again, and then leaned forward, planting a soft kiss to her forehead. Pulling back, he smiled faintly at her before starting out of the room. As he approached the doorway, he brought a hand back and rubbed over the back of his head, letting out a tired sigh.
